Television journalist Barbara Walters has died at 93 years old, ABC News reported Friday night.
Walters was a pioneer in the field, and she rose to national fame in the 1970s as the first woman to anchor a nightly news show. According to the outlet, she was a 12-time Emmy Award winner.
The journalist was well-known for her interviews with high-profile figures, ranging from superstar performer Michael Jackson to former President Ronald Reagan. Her interviews made her a giant in the media industry, and one of the most recognizable figures in news in the Twentieth century.

If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything.
To honor this great woman of journalism they should put The View on hiatus for a year.

Let none of us forget:
"Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and twith the measure you use it will be measured to you." (Matthew 7: 1-2) and also "Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." (Romans 12:19).
Barbara Wa-wa has already found out if her shortcomings have outweighed her positive attributes. She will pay accordingly. Far be it from me to add or detract. However, she does have much to answer for:
1) Making Fidel Castro look humane ... supposedly having been bedded by him ... and despite strong evidence he was a mass murderer
2) covering for Bill and Hillary
3) trashing both presidents Bush
4) despising conservatives .. Trump and his supporters
5) pushing the gay, liberal agenda
Mercy for her immortal soul.

Never a fan. Did not like her voice or style. But she broke down a lot of barriers for a whole bunch of women newscasters and journalists. RIP Agree with #2. The View should just have a dark screen with Barbara's dates for at least a year.

Loved it when Gilda Radner did her impression of BaBa WaWa on the old SNL. Baba hated Gilda. And when Baba was teamed with Harry Reasoner. Harry hated her guts was too much of a professional to let it show. It inspired SeeBS to team Dan Rather with Connie Chung. And Danny Boy looked like he was in agony.

RIP.
As for Trump...
The Wall Street Journal points out tonight she dated Roy Cohen in college; and, points out that Cohen was a mentor to Donald Trump early in Trump’s business career.
The New York Times has to say in her obituary:
"...She continued to pop up in the gossip pages, notably when she tried to intervene in a vitriolic spat between her “View” colleague Rosie O’Donnell and Donald J. Trump in 2007.
(Ms. Walters could be gushing when around Mr. Trump, comparing his family in one “20/20” segment to “American royalty” and, at one point, as Michael D’Antonio recounted in his 2015 Trump biography “Never Enough,” asking him, “If you could be appointed president, and you didn’t have to run, would you like to be president?”)..."

Barbara threw in with the leftists, and destroyed any credibility she could have had. The left built their paradise on a foundation of lies, a foundation which is crumbling.

John Simon paid "tribute" to Barbara Walters in his late '70s essay "Verbal Barbarisms" from the excellent collection Paradigms Lost. I couldn't watch her, but as another said, "Sure, she's bad. But look what we've got now." Sad but true.
