Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said Monday that his country wants to hold a peace summit at the United Nations by the end of February but that Russia should first face a war crimes tribunal in an international court.
"Every war ends in a diplomatic way. Every war ends as a result of the actions taken on the battlefield and at the negotiating table," Kuleba told the Associated Press on Monday.
"The United Nations could be the best venue for holding this summit because this is not about making a favor to a certain country."
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres could serve as the mediator at a potential peace summit, Kuleba said.

Either call for a peace summit or call for all-out war, but don't call for a "peace summit" with conditions you know your opponent can't put up with.
Who wrote this for Zelinksy? joe?

10 to 1 advantage sums up Russia vs. Ukraine. Negotiate from a position of strength only! Putin plays Russian Chess while they play a mean game of tiddlywinks!

So that should mean another 50,000 dead Ukrainians, but for US dominance what price wouldn’t we pay?

It is being reported that it was Prime Minister Modi who simultaneously persuaded Zelensky and Putin to refrain from attacking Russian nuclear installations and desist using tactical nuclear weapons against advancing Ukrainian forces (which Putin had threatened to do). The CIA has publicly admitted that . That is a start.

Great, then we can start dumping billions of dollars into rebuilding Ukraine instead of paying the salaries and pensions of their bureaucrats who no doubt had a hand in aggravating this war. We will finally learn our lesson when we have no more money and no way to borrow more.

United Nations as peacemakers. What a farce!
FTA: "The commission determined that Russian forces are responsible for a "vast majority" of the violations but that Ukrainian troops "have also committed international humanitarian law violations in some cases."" This is the sort of "impartial" mediation you'll get from the UN.
Smells of another attempt to stall Russia like they did with the Minsk Agreement or until NATO opens another war front between Kosovo and Serbia.

Now that Zelenskyy has trundled off home with tens of billions of our taxpayer money. Sickening.

If the UN were of any real use to the world, they would have proposed this on their own. The UN has been useless in this case. Where is the UN helping the displaced Ukrainian refugees? Where are the UN peacekeepers? Where is the UN calling for a stop to the war? They are useless! The fact that the aggressor in the war, Russia, continues to sit on the Security Council and still has veto power over any actions related to the war is farcical.

"Peace" for Putin means, "We keep a big chunk of your country and you stop trying to throw out our invading troops".
I am shocked at the people who think it is perfectly OK for a group of vicious thugs with guns, bombs and murder in their hearts to enslave another group of people, and the folks who think that "we shouldn't support them" apparently are just OK.
The new version of the old saying, "First they came for the Ukrainians, and I wasn't a Ukranian, so I thought it was OK. Then they came for the....."
Our Greatest Generation fathers and mothers would be ashamed of a lot of Americans today.

Sorry #14, For a while I thought you were talking of the US/NATO (Evil Imperial Empire that has never seen a nation they couldn't threaten and bomb indiscriminately into oblivion).

Ooo! Better send a quick Trillion before peace is declared! Then another Trillion to rebuild the place! Well…until the next Trillion arrives!

Russia: "First there must be a cease fire so we can reinforce our troops and equipment."
Ukraine: "First get the hell out of our country."
