One of my favorite indicators of ignorance are the people who buy personalized license plates, or affix stickers, for their electric cars that say “Emission Free.” Even if you ignore the enormous environmental impacts associated with manufacturing an electric car (which are significantly higher than a gasoline-powered car), if you live in a state that generates a lot of its electricity from coal, you are essentially driving a coal-powered car.
The next most ignorant view is that at least you don’t have to buy expensive gasoline! People seem to forget that electricity isn’t free, from whatever source. It seems Europe is waking up to this:

This push for electric cars isnt going to last. Eventually and hopefully people will wake up to this scam

Heck, even to make it simpler. Charge your car at home. Get an electric bill. Charge at one of those roadside chargers, it'll cost money. Maybe cheaper than gas, but I doubt it's enough to cover the difference in cost. I think I can make an economical case for hybrid, but not an EV.

Every time I see a windmill or solar field, I swear at that abomination which is INCREASING MY ELECTRICITY COSTS and making the entire grid less stable and less reliable will increasing costs dramatically.
We are paying MORE for LESS and we can't get the damned lying, crooked, evil politicians to stop doing it.

and yet...it is "fossil fuel" taxes that pay for the roads these EV-vangelists drive upon, and is even funding THEIR charging stations

Webster's definition of Climate Change - See ignorance. America's education system is to blame. Children are not taught reality but pipe dreams.

Loved a story that came out today about how someone couldn't do their Christmas travel because their EV wouldn't charge in sub-zero temps. Something most people that live in the northern half of the US know. Extreme cold and extreme heat drain batteries and you have to replace them faster than normal.

And that doesn't include the soon to be imposed fed, state, and city 'Road Taxes' on petrol. I don't know how, but they WILL find a way to do it.

Traveling on I-70 in Kansas last Wednesday, I saw a VW that had "ID.4" on the back in 2" chrome letters.
Running down the interstate west from Topeka at 80 mph in 30F weather. I mentioned to my wife that I had no idea what that was, she looked it upon her phone.....VW's newest electric vehicle. Claimed to have 275 mile range.
At 30F and 80 mph, I'll bet the range is half that, especially with the heater sucking power, too.
A fun fact.....in a gas or diesel car, all he heat is literally free, causes NO extra fuel burn. But in any EV, heat is power coming directly from the battery, and directly reducing your already pathetically short range.
And drive fast....less range.
My 4Runner at 65 mph gets about 21 mpg, but at 80 mph, more like 17 mpg. So, with about 23 gallons, my range at 65 is around 450 plus some reserve. At 80 mph, range drops to about 370 plus some reserves. For an EV, n cold weather, the difference is probably more like range going from the (questionable) 275 miles to more like 140 or 150 miles, with NO reserves. I figured 30+ miles reserves in my 4Runner calcs, add that to your EV and now the useful range at high speeds is more like 110-120 with a bit of reserves. Cold weather reduces battery capacity, too. ALL batteries.

And a number of folks I know are now faced with buying a new car or spending twenty to thirty thousand dollars on replacement batteries.
They are pretty good a figuring the total cost of ownership and don't believe they have saved any money. And that's with the free vehicle charging stations they made use of at work.

#10, way back when the first Prius hit the market, a friend who was the national director of training for Precision Tune, told me that you’d have to drive that car for 15 years to break even.

#6 is correct. I think you get about of a third of normal mileage in 10 degree weather. Maybe, in 25 years technology will be able to produce inexpensive batteries that you can fully charge in 15 minutes, Until then, EVs will be relegated to urban and expensive local travel and driven by fatuous virtue signallers. I am 80 years old and will never own one...wait...I have one at my lake house community. It's called a golf cart.

Aside form the lack of financial feasibility for many Americans, I would encourage anyone considering an electric vehicle to watch Joe Rogan's interview with Siddharth Kara who has pulled back the curtain on the human rights abuses involved in cobalt mining. It is hideous what is being done to those poor people and based on that alone I told Mr. Daria that we'll be stcking to gas powered cars.

Re #12, I have a golf cart, too, for running around on my property in the country. But it has a gasoline engine, too. LOL! Very reliable, and uses maybe a gallon a year.

Hatchet Huchul has already bought into the EU electricity game plan. By 2035, she wants the whole state to run on electricity. Never mind that electricity is lost to households every time you turn around. I had to buy a generator to be free of her precious electricity brown outs or complete failure of the grid.

Cold this winter? Set fire to an EV. They burn extremely well and are hard to put out

the democrats have bought the WEF line, and with their love for the CCP included,
are eagerly working to destroy America and all it stands in detail, and electric vehicles
are another cog in that wheel of destruction. No doubt several manufacturers will be
bankrupted when the dem-driven mess collapses. And that just the start...
