Merry Christmas, RedStaters! Here’s a nice holiday story for ya that doesn’t involve Biden, Putin, Pelosi, or Schumer. Instead, it centers around two great American creatures: men and horses, and it involves good friends, teamwork, persistence, and bravery.
Here we go: a 1,200-pound horse escaped from its Wisconsin barn, found its way onto a frozen lake—and promptly fell through the ice. Known as “Big Wood Lake,” the site is known for its bass fishing, and I’m just going to have to flat-out steal borrow this line from CBS News: “but there’s never been a catch like this.”

If you live in the United States, chances are you have probably encountered a Salvation Army volunteer ringing a bell outside of a supermarket.

Police in a Tennessee city showed the true holiday spirit as well as outstanding service to their community when they pitched in to replace a child’s gifts after a human Grinch stole them and then set the family’s Christmas tree ablaze.
Earlier this week, the Dyersburg Police Department said on Facebook that they had arrested a man after they responded to a call at a local apartment complex where the suspect was observed purloining the presents by an observant neighbor, also torching the tree in an act that reportedly stemmed from an “altercation” between the perp and the victim that took place prior to the incident.

I have many pagan, atheist, or agnostic friends who bypass Christmas, dismissing it as a commercial and religious quagmire in which they would rather not partake. But when December 21 (or whichever date is designated as the precise time) rolls around, they are big on the Winter Solstice wishes, rituals, and festivals.

I don’t know exactly when I became a fan of Charlie Brown and the “Peanuts” characters, but I can remember them being a huge part of my elementary school years, along with a group of friends who loved the comic strip. One thing I do know: A Charlie Brown Christmas has always been a part of my holiday celebrations, including this Christmas.
Every year growing up, we would watch A Charlie Brown Christmas when it came on television. It was always on CBS, and Peter Paul candies sponsored it — I still remember the York Peppermint Patty and “Sometimes you feel like a nut” commercials.

When fall comes around, everyone starts thinking about Christmas. People are getting their shopping lists ready and picking up items for their parties. For kids, this is the perfect opportunity to show off how good they’ve been during the year.
Unfortunately, Christmas can also bring some very sad and tragic episodes. We’re not talking about getting the wrong size of clothes or the wrong video game system, either. Many times, people encounter terrible family situations, illness, or death. Anyone who watches the news will hear about something horrific happening during the holiday. Having to deal with a terrible scenario is something no one expects during such a joyous season.
