Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is fast emerging as a top 2024 presidential contender capable of beating both Donald Trump and President Joe Biden, an early election poll suggested on Tuesday.
The new USA Today/Suffolk University survey shows that a majority of GOP voters want Trump to pass the torch to the 44-year-old Republican governor - despite having declared his own third White House campaign last month.
And while the ex-president trails Biden in a theoretical head-to-head rematch, DeSantis holds a narrow lead over the Democrat of about four points.

Grab the popcorn, it’s getting hot between former CIA head John Brennan and Twitter owner Elon Musk.
As we reported, Brennan was infuriated that Musk dared to criticize Dr. Anthony Fauci, saying that his “pronouns” were “Prosecute/Fauci.” But he continued that meltdown with a new tweet saying there needed to be a way to “prevent” people like Musk from being “politically destructive.”(Tweets) “Good people in democracies need a more effective way to prevent attention-craving, emotionally immature, & highly devious individuals, esp those of means, from being socially, culturally, & politically destructive,” Brennan declared. “We certainly seem to have far too many of them lately.”

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) visited the U.S.-Mexico border on Monday and blamed Republicans for the ongoing crisis there, despite the fact that the ongoing influx is a reaction to President Joe Biden’s policies.
Millions of migrants have poured across the border since Biden was elected president, many of them traveling from around the world to take advantage of the Democrats’ deliberately lax policies. Earlier this week, 1,000 migrants crossed the Rio Grande at El Paso in one night, an unprecedented number.
Biden, who told migrants to “surge” to the border during his campaign in 2019, halted President Donald Trump’s border wall project upon taking office,

The White House previewed a massive signing celebration at the White House on Tuesday for a bill making gay marriage federally legal.
“Tomorrow is going to be a really important day for many Americans, millions of Americans across the country,” Karine Jean-Pierre said at the daily briefing on Monday. “And I think we cannot forget that.”
She said that the White House expected “thousands” of invited guests for President Joe Biden’s signing ceremony of the bill, including prominent gay and lesbian couples and “musical guests.”
“There will be musical guests and performances to celebrate this historic bill,” she said.

Released Saturday, the next installment of the “Twitter Files” details how, after years of resisting calls to ban then-President Donald Trump, Twitter purposefully changed its policies after the Jan. 6th riot to justify permanently banning the then-president.
The installment begins with journalist Michael Shellenberger noting that on Jan. 7, senior Twitter executives “create justifications to ban Trump… seek a change of policy for Trump alone, distinct from other political leaders… [and] express no concern for the free speech or democracy implications of a ban.”(Tweets) The installment shows that following the Jan. 6th riot, a number of high-profile voices — including former first lady Michelle Obama

A lot of Republicans think the Republican National Committee needs new leadership after the underwhelming outcome of the 2022 midterm elections.
In Texas, Republicans are calling on party leaders to replace Ronna McDaniel as RNC chair.
It’s perfectly understandable that people would want a change like this. Expectations were high for Republicans to do much better in November.
Breitbart News reports:Texas GOP Calls for Leadership to Replace Ronna McDaniel as RNC Chair
The executive committee of the Republican Party of Texas unanimously called for new leadership at the national party following poor results in the 2020 election and underperformance in 2022.

The latest installment of the “Twitter Files,” a series of disclosures lifting the curtain on Twitter’s internal wrangling ahead of controversial censorship decisions, reveals more details on the decision to ban Donald Trump from the platform in January 2021.
The disclosures, given to former New York Times writer Bari Weiss, reveal that members of Twitter’s Trust & Safety department did not believe that the former President violated any rules on the day that he was banned, only for this determination to be overruled following an intervention by arch-progressive Vijaya Gadde.
The disclosures also reveal that CEO Jack Dorsey was involved in the decision to suspend Trump’s account,

The New York Times on Monday declared incoming Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman to be one of its 93 “most stylish” people of 2022, prompting backlash against the paper on social media, including by the Democrat’s wife.
“No, not [John Fetterman]!! Recount!!!,” the senator-elect’s wife Gisele Fetterman wrote on Twitter Monday, reacting in disbelief to the accolade.
The news outlet feted Fetterman, whose usual attire on the campaign trail involved a hoodie, basketball shorts, and sneakers, as a lawmaker that “is going to bring Carhartt to the Capitol,” a reference to the US workwear apparel company.

The president of the American Federation of Teachers has been mocked for making a gushing endorsement of President Joe Biden saying that he had done more for schools than Franklin D Roosevelt.
Union boss Randi Weingarten was speaking at a virtual educators appreciation event in Washington D.C. on Monday, hosted by First Lady Jill Biden.
She made the sensational claim that Biden had done more than FDR - who was known for implementing several initiatives that aimed to help American students, including the National Youth Administration fund for low-income families.

Twitter's former censor has been forced to flee the $1.1m Bay Area mansion he shares with his boyfriend after Elon Musk shared part of his thesis which suggested letting children access gay hook-up app Grindr.
Yoel Roth, 34, and his partner Nicholas Madsen, 44, moved out of their two-bed, two-bath property in El Cerrito over fears for their safety, the Washington Post reported.
The tweet said to have sparked the move saw Musk write: 'Looks like Yoel is in favor of letting children being able to access adult internet services in his PhD thesis.'
He shared a screenshot of part of said document.

As a guy constantly arguing about the disgusting and pedophilic nature of “kid-friendly” drag shows, I get all kinds of ridiculous responses from its defenders. One of the arguments they tend to throw out from time to time goes something like this:
“If short skirts and panties bother you then you must have some really negative things to say about cheerleaders.”
The truth is, I don’t. Cheerleaders are a time-honored tradition in sports that, according to its history, was actually started somewhat spontaneously and by a University of Minnesota medical student named Johnny Campbell who began leading the crowds in a chant

During an interview with Newsmax over the weekend, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani revealed that he gave Hunter Biden’s laptop to prominent Republicans who refused to report on it.
The comments were shocking to say the least considering the information was available in 2019 but several conservative news outlets failed to report on it despite having the evidence.
The names of these Republicans include John Solomon, Sean Hannity and Mike Pompeo.
