Donald Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize

Original Article

I am pretty sure that my readers know that I am not a huge fan of Donald Trump, particularly the current version of Trump the candidate or Trump the celebrity. Still, I think Trump’s presidency from 2017-2021 is grossly underrated, particularly regarding his outstanding record in foreign policy achievements. As a Trump skeptic when he was running back int 2015 and 2016 I would never in a million years have expected him to be an outstanding president in foreign policy, but he was. Perhaps the best since Ronald Reagan, and certainly the best since George H.W. Bush. Trump was absolutely hated by our European allies, and equally hated by our international adversaries.

Another person who should be fired is that stupid coward of a teacher who walked into the GIRKS restroom and saw two pairs of legs in the stall, and did NOTHING about it. Bang on the door. Call out for help. Call the police. Kid could have been arrested right then and there! Teacher must be a democrat

Strom just shot his own judgement full of holes by describing all of the successes of Donald Trump that add up to a spectacular performance in a four year term. I would just love to hear his rating for Biden the Magnificent. It would start off something like, "I think Joe Biden is a political genius but ..."

FTA: "Trump was absolutely hated by our European allies, and equally hated by our international adversaries...Yet Trump was hated because he was doing almost everything right. His advice to Europe was 100% correct: he insisted that Russia was the bad guy and that it was insane to trust Putin to maintain the flow of natural gas in a crisis." The author was not damning Trump with his praise.

There is a quote I used to see occasionally: Keep doing what you've always done you'll get what you always got. Something like that. Trump stood that quote on its head.

What the heck has Trump ever done to David Strom? If he writes for Hot Air, surely he knows that the Nobel can be bought. Instead of some cheezy prize, Trump deserves our everlasting thanks for the promises made and kept. As Daniel told Babylon's King Belshazzar, keep your robes and your medals. Trump doesn't need some prize because he has his honor and his accomplishments for reward.

Yes, DJS's policies were and are excellent. He was treated badly, and the election was probably stolen. However, I am convinced that the reason we lost the Senate and barely won the House was due to his meddling in the Primaries. Dr. Oz and Herschel Walker? Geez. Georgia elected a Republican Gov., and we lost the Senate seat. Dr.Oz loses to a mental patient? We cannot continue to support these stupid things he says. Attacking Youngkin and DeSantis? The best winners we have? DJS cannot win a national election again and we need to face it. If he gets the nomination, we will get wiped out in Congress. The left will pack the courts and our country will be done.

I have felt from the beginning that much or most of the animus toward President Trump comes from failure to recognize that much of what seems bravado and egotism comes from failure to recognize his sense of humor. Liberals are, for the most part, born without one.

DEI Dying - Amazon Next Off the Boat 0 replies

This is getting to be a tsunami of DEI defections, and how delicious! Just this afternoon, another big name in the wokest game on Earth decided they were cashing in their chips before public opinion - and an incoming Trump administration - cashed them in for them. An Amazon email last month announced to employees that the company was scaling back and consolidating some of its DEI programs - trimming around the edges on some of those 'initiatives' - although which ones were on the chopping block were spelled out. Amazon said it is halting some of its diversity and inclusion initiatives, joining a growing list

CNN Laments Trump's 'Extraordinary Victory'

The "extraordinary victory" took place on November 5th. Today was just the lame anti-climax. Despite the fact that Judge Juan Merchan telegraphed his no-consequences sentence -- and that the Supreme Court made it clear that Merchan had to follow through -- the outcome of the Alvin Bragg prosecution stunned CNN's panel immediately afterward. Noting that an "unconditional discharge" rarely gets applied in felony convictions, the commentators grudgingly admitted Donald Trump won in the end: JIM ACOSTA: Not just the sentence of an unconditional release, which means he’s not going to do any jail time. The fact that he is going to be going into the White House as a convicted felon, but

For more than eight years, the climate scientist Michael Mann harassed National Review through litigation over a blog post — until, eventually, the First Amendment brought an end to his attack. This week, a court in our nation’s capital ordered Mann to pay us $530,820.21 worth of attorney’s fees and costs, and to do so within 30 days. It is time for him to get out his checkbook, and sign on the dotted line. This restitution is welcome, if incomplete. As was made clear during the discovery process, Mann’s explicitly stated intention was to use a “major lawsuit” as a vehicle with which to “ruin National Review.”

A Canadian “Super Scooper” aircraft fighting the Palisades fire in Los Angeles had to be grounded Thursday after it hit a civilian drone in the smoke-filled skies above the blaze, local fire department officials said. CNN reports the specifically designed CL-415 firefighting planes are used to scoop up more than 1,500 gallons of ocean water to drop on active fires. Two have been leased by L.A. County to help current operations. The plane in question, Quebec 1, “sustained wing damage and remains grounded and out of service,” Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Erik Scott said, adding there were no reported injuries.

Nonfarm payrolls surged by 256,000 for the month, up from 212,000 in November and above the 155,000 forecast from the Dow Jones consensus, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday. The unemployment rate edged down to 4.1%, one-tenth of a point below expectations. An alternative measure that includes discouraged workers and those holding part-time positions for economic reasons

One suspects he's quite used to them, but even for President-elect Donald Trump, Thursday has been a busy day. While he spent the morning, along with his wife Melania, at the funeral services for former President Jimmy Carter and later in the day announcing additional appointments to his incoming administration, a bevy of legal decisions was being made regarding him. First, the New York Court of Appeals denied his request to stay the sentencing in his Manhattan criminal case (set for Friday morning). Then, the Supreme Court did the same, just as the 11th Circuit denied his co-defendants' efforts to block the release of (former) Special Counsel Jack Smith's "Final Report."

The Santa Ynez Reservoir, with a capacity of 117 million gallons, could have played a critical role in providing water pressure to firefighters battling the devastating fire that destroyed thousands of homes and buildings in Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Malibu.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who will now be forever known as the weirdo who ran with Kamala Harris in 2024 and failed, is now endorsing gun control activist David Hogg in his bid to be vice chair of the Democratic National Committee. The 2024 election showed that Democrats have a serious problem with men, who are fleeing their party in droves. It’s not clear how having David Hogg in a leadership position would do anything to help fix this problem for them. None of that seems to matter to Walz, who believes Hogg will provide the ‘courageous leadership our party needs right now.’

I was surprised, if not shocked, when two A-list celebrities, country singers Garth Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood, took the microphones at the State Funeral for Jimmy Carter yesterday and began performing “Imagine,” written by former Beatle John Lennon in 1971. The song is widely described as an “atheistic anthem” and incredibly is said to be one of the late 39th president’s favorite songs. "Imagine there’s no heaven It’s easy if you try. No hell below us Above us, only sky. . . Imagine all the people Livin’ for today Ah Imagine there’s no countries It isn’t hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion, too" To me, it sounds like a globalist woke anthem
