Hollywood is rethinking woke; NYT calls
this "regression"

Original Article

Hollywood is rethinking going woke, and the New York Times is crying about it. Neither of these developments is a shock. Hollywood cares about morality as much as a Canadian euthanasia doctor, and the New York Times cares about pleasing the plebs as much as Stalin did about his slaves in the Gulag. Hollywood has been a moral cesspool for decades–at least. Most actors are morally depraved perverts; executives are worse. The casting couch existed long before Harvey Weinstein, and child actors are at the mercy of pedophiles. It’s hard to find a child actor who didn’t come out of the business a mental wreck. People are as disposable as used tissues.

One takeaway from the article is that the fear is gone. The Hollywood executives spoke anonymously but openly to the Times. This would not have happened last year or earlier.

Go woke, go broke. Their leftist propaganda trash ALWAYS loses huge amounts of money. Make a good, normal, NON-political, nice movie about normal people and normal things, and people WILL show up. But most of that garbage that they have been putting out, millions of us are happy to never see it.

It's a business, and they need to make money. In years gone by, going to the movies was something people did on a regular business. Even a so-so movie could break even, if not show a profit. But quality has gone down while prices have gone up, and there's a whole world of free entertainment out there. People are no longer willing to hand over money to see any movie, especially one that's going to preach how evil the viewers are.

I doubt they are rethinking anything beyond their bottom line. They have had occasional gay characters and black characters over the years and it was fine with everybody, that's normal life. The Jeffersons, All in the Family, Chuck on Last Man Standing, Good Times, all tastefully done, funny and realistic. I have been muting through commercials for at least three new all-black shows and the new gay shows, including cartoons, and thinking about canceling my cable. The stereotypes in the commercials are ridiculous and the comedy shows are stupid, not funny. Old reruns are the only things we watch.

As many have pointed out, Hollywood has always been a cesspool of depravity. They make money by giving the public what they think it wants. So, even though there was all manner of sexual perversion going on behind the scenes, they put out movies that the public had a moral taste for. The movies changed as the culture changed and as the denizens of Hollywood were able to live more openly, they inserted their moral rot into their product. But, pedophelia, child indoctrination, forced death vaccines and child mutilation have proven to be a step too far for the vast majority of the American public. And so, Hollywood will not change, but instead put it’s depravity on the back burner, and make movies more to the public’s liking…for awhile.

Look how popular Top Gun Maverick was. It had a diverse cast and one that seemed very natural. It had characters we liked and a good story with fantastic cinematography. It made tons of money. All the woke crap is just that. Crap. I don't go to a movie to be preached at. Back in the day when Warner Brothers made a lot of message movies, they made sure to have a good plot and story. Watch I Am A Fugitive From A Chain Gang. It has a message, but it's a good movie too.

President Joe Biden told a climate activist on Sunday he would not allow any new drilling in the United States, just days after he complained that oil companies are not drilling enough. “No more drilling. There is no more drilling,” Biden said, speaking to a climate activist as he finished up a rally in New York for Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY). “I haven’t formed any new drilling.” A young woman standing front and center held up a sign protesting Biden for allowing drilling on federal lands. The activist responded to Biden by noting there is still offshore drilling in the Antarctic and off of the Gulf of Mexico. “That was before

What in the world just happened? That’s the big question after an event President Joe Biden held on Sunday evening with New York Gov. Kathy Hochul. Democrats have been rushing to help rescue Hochul following Republican candidate Lee Zeldin’s meteoric rise in the polls. New York, a deep blue state, is not supposed to be in play. The fact that it is so close says nothing good about Democrat chances come election night. I could write a whole other article on the insulting, tone-deaf things Hochul said at the “rally,” but really, I can’t just ignore this. Seriously, what is this?

The declaration follows a promise he made last month that he will “look into” one-sided censorship during the 2022 midterm election season. “I will look into this,” he tweeted in response to a similar tweet from Fitton. “Twitter should be even-handed, favoring neither side.”

Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton has decided that he won’t run for president in 2024 — making him the first big-name Republican to step aside as former President Donald Trump and others make moves toward running. The senator has been reaching out to donors, supporters and senior Republicans over the last few days to inform them of his plans, according to two people familiar with his deliberations. Cotton has attributed his decision to family concerns, saying that a national campaign would take him away from his two young sons, who are seven and five years old.
