The War for Internet Freedom Has Just Begun

I have heard it said many times over the years that President Bill Clinton and his inner circle were apprehensive about the rise of the internet right from its infancy. While university clubs and lonely tech pioneers were generating public excitement by connecting people all over the planet, Clinton and his crew feared the internet for what it signified: an end to the government's monopoly over information. If just any old citizen could broadcast news to the world over cyberspace, none of the government's traditional methods for regulating knowledge would continue to work.

The down side is that there is so much BS out there that needs weeded through. The truly free sites have their share of anti semites, flat earthers, nazis, and freaks its hard to tell whats true from what isn't. When I see something interesting I try to verify it through other sites because single sourcing nowadays isn't safe.

The internet broke the Dem's monopoly on what news got reported. The battle for control of the internet is ongoing.

The corrupt and criminal DOJ and FBI under Biden went too far when they raided President Trump’s iconic home – Mar-a-Lago. This was unprecedented, unnecessary, and unlawful. As we reported right after the criminal DOJ and FBI raided his home, the DOJ way overstepped the law. This group of Obama gangsters took from the President what many believe were documents that showed their many crimes before and after President Trump was elected in 2016. President Trump is right also when he claims this even shows the double standards with Biden and Obama’s DOJ and FBI.

Pelosi's rogue Jan. 6 panel has added to its previous illegitimate actions, violating the terms of the House resolution establishing the committee, by issuing a subpoena to former president Trump. If this wayward action by this rabid, partisan committee is upheld by the courts, we shall have an unconstitutional amendment to the Constitution providing for parliamentary government, with the president answerable to Congress. Erased by congressional fiat, supported by the Judiciary, will be the important concept of separation of powers established by the Founding Fathers.

An FBI intelligence analyst testifying in the special counsel probe by John Durham says he never really checked the fake story about the so-called “Steele dossier” in the Trump Russia collusion hoax — including the infamous and non-existent “pee tape” — and assumed FBI sources were telling the truth. This, even though the FBI offered a $1 million payday to verify it (it went uncollected), proving the FBI knew it was “salacious and unverified” in the words of former FBI chief James Comey. But knowing that, the FBI used the dossier against Donald Trump

The United States has given more than $65 billion in aid to Ukraine since Russia invaded the country in February, and there is no end in sight to taxpayers funding this war. President Biden recently pledged to continue sending aid "for as long as it takes." As a result, the war looks interminable and has brought the world closer to the brink of nuclear "Armageddon" (in Biden's words) than it has been since the Cuban Missile Crisis. Why, then, are so many lawmakers escalating U.S. involvement in the war by voting to send military aid to Ukraine? Protesters demanded answers

It's no secret that billionaire philanthropist and financier George Soros has had a hand in the rise of many major political players. From his heavy investment in the sheriffs in Arizona to his funding of grassroots activists in Ferguson, Soros's money and influence seem to be nestled in every nook and cranny across the country. But just in the past month, two judges in two different states have stood up against prominent figures that are heavily funded by Soros: Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and Virginia's Loudoun County commonwealth attorney Buta Biberaj.

In Los Angeles, the truth leaked out: Three top Latino Democrat bigshots running the city through its council, Council President Nury Martinez, and council members Gil Cedillo and Kevin de León, along with a top public employee union leader, Ron Herrera, are flaming racists. One of them, the council president, Nury Martinez, was caught on a leaked tape calling a black two-year-old child 'like a monkey' and said she'd like to give the toddler "a beatdown." Another, council member Kevin de León, compared the child with his two white gay parents as a thing they carried around like a "handbag."

Do you like to think that you vote for the man, not the party? Then I should inform you that in the Senate race, if you vote for the Democrat, you are voting for Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), regardless. There is a nice little ProPublica website that compares the voting records of senators. I used the 2021-22 session to make some comparisons. (I pulled the data on Oct. 6. There may be more votes in this session after that date.) This first figure shows how many senators voted with Schumer, Democrat majority leader, by the percent of agreement.

Reports of flu and other respiratory illnesses are higher than what would normally be seen in the U.S. at this time of year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Thursday. "We've noted that flu activity is starting to increase across much of the country," especially in the Southeast and south-central U.S., the CDC's director, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, told NBC News. "Not everybody got flu vaccinated last year, and many people did not get the flu. So that makes us ripe to have potentially a severe flu season."(Snip)"Flu is on the rise, but it's also all of these other viruses that got knocked off kilter," Esper said.

Late this week, there were stakes in place, outlining where the bulbs will go. From ground level, it’s hard to tell, but seen from the L, it becomes apparent the tulips are being planted with a bigger picture in mind. “We’re planting the tulips in the shape of houses that should exist,” said Amanda Williams, the artist behind the project.

The president spoke with reporters briefly after getting tacos with local Democrats in Los Angeles. When asked to react to prices reaching nearly seven dollars a gallon in California, Biden replied, “Well, that’s always been the case here.” Biden argued that gas prices were still down nationwide from the previous highs in the summer, even though they have gone back up as much as 30 cents a gallon in some areas. “You know, it’s not, what, nationwide, they came down about $1.35,” he said. “And they’re still down

A new CNN analysis fretted that American voters might care more about the cost of their food than they do about the Jan. 6 hearings. Noting Thursday’s Consumer Price Index data which showed inflation reaching 8.2% in September, as well as a cost-of-living index at its highest level since 1982, CNN's Stephen Collinson noted polling has repeatedly reinforced that the economy is the top concern to voters heading into the midterm elections. The data included information about frozen potato products, as well as pork products, which have increased 10% and 5.5%, respectively. "While it would be too simplistic to say

Never let a crisis go to waste, Rahm Emanuel once advised. Add to that this new axiom: Never let your emergency powers expire. As incompetent as Joe Biden might otherwise be, he’s proven adept at following both. Again: The Biden administration extended the Covid-19 pandemic’s status as a public health emergency for another 90 days, preserving measures such as expanded Medicaid and higher payments to hospitals. The decision follows comments President Biden made in September describing the pandemic as over. Some Republican lawmakers said afterward that the administration should wind down its pandemic response and the emergency designation.

That share is more than one-sixth greater than the 27.3% that Queens residents contribute to the city’s total population, according to 2020 census data. “It’s a powder keg in Queens at this point,”
