A federal judge in Texas has issued a ruling that prevents federal mandates from imposing pronouns and unisex bathrooms on employers.
In State of Texas v Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Matthew Kacsmaryk, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Texas in Amarillo, declared the March 2, 2021 U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Civil Rights Guidance and June 15, 2021 EEOC guidance unlawful. However, the court stopped short of granting the state’s request for injunctive relief.
“Title VII as interpreted in Bostock does not require such accommodations,” wrote Judge Kacsmaryk in his Oct. 1 decision.

Donald Trump is the kingmaker of the Republican Party, and for that reason alone, he remains the best choice for 2024 despite the firestorm of negative media coverage, censorship, and the looming threat of indictment, which have haunted him since being forced out of office in January 2021. In the time since Trump has been gone, Americans have watched their economy tank, their freedoms attacked, and we are now disconcertingly close to an out-and-out ground war with nuclear Russia. Meanwhile, Democrats plan to do irreparable damage to institutions (like the Supreme Court) that have checked the worst excesses of liberal hegemony. The military industrial complex, having been subdued in the

Florida’s law barring businesses from requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination is likely legal, a federal appeals court has ruled.
The law, passed in 2021, says that a business “may not require patrons or customers to provide any documentation certifying COVID-19 vaccination or postinfection recovery to gain access to, entry upon, or service from the business operations in this state.”
“Florida’s statute is a regulation of economic conduct that only incidentally burdens speech, which does not implicate the First Amendment,” (snip) “And its burdens on interstate commerce do not exceed the benefits of furthering Florida’s substantial interests in protecting its residents from discrimination and invasions of privacy.”

The message that hurricane-ravaged Florida is an inhospitable place for looters was driven home by an outspoken Polk County sheriff, who in a media appearance on Friday urged Floridians to shoot looters breaking into their homes so they look “like grated cheese.”
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd issued the warning during an Oct. 7 appearance on “Fox & Friends,” while commenting on the problem of looters preying on vulnerable households in the wake of Hurricane Ian’s devastation.
“I would highly suggest that if a looter breaks into your home, comes into your home while you’re there to steal stuff, that you take your gun and you shoot him,” Judd said.

A report emerged in September that said Chinese authorities have opened 110 police service centers outside of mainland China—including one in New York City—that repatriate Chinese people using coercion, according to a security policy expert, but which also may be used for sabotage or espionage.
Frank Gaffney, the executive chairman at the Washington-based Center for Security Policy, said that as part of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) global transnational repression those service centers can be tools to conduct espionage and sabotage work.
“The Chinese are not simply forcing people to go back to China and stand trial, but they may be giving them directions to do other things,” such as espionage, recruitment,

In the hours after the Capitol riot nearly two years ago, 147 US lawmakers voted to overturn the 2020 election — effectively buttressing the false case of Donald Trump and his supporters who had resorted to violence.
The outcry from corporate America came quickly, with hundreds of companies vowing to stop donations to lawmakers who would eventually be known by opponents as the "sedition caucus."
While the backsliding began within months, two reports out in recent days show how most of those companies reversed course and resumed those donations. The reports come just weeks before midterm elections that will determine which party controls the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Former President Donald Trump said on Oct. 5 that the August raid conducted by the FBI had backfired by generating “about $5 billion worth of free publicity” for his Mar-a-Lago residence.
The comment was made at the Hispanic Leadership Conference in Miami (snip)
Mar-a-Lago came under the spotlight following the raid, as Trump described, with “helicopters flying over” it. According to Trump, the intensive coverage has helped boost his estate’s promotion free of charge.

Footage of Chinese police holding machine guns at the airport of Xishuangbanna (Banna) prefecture to stop tourists from boarding their planes has gone viral in China and overseas.
Tourists were trapped in the airport after the local authorities of Banna suddenly locked down the city of Jinghong on Oct. 4. They chanted “We want to go home!”
Then police wearing full personal protective gear and holding guns appeared at the airport. It is not clear if their guns were loaded with live ammunition. A tourist can be heard shouting: “Are you going to kill us all?”
