New York Attorney General Letitia James on Wednesday filed suit against former President Donald Trump, his kids Eric, Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr., and the Trump Organization — alleging “staggering” fraud in the family real estate business, court records show.
James’ office has been investigating the Trump Organization for over three years to determine whether the company’s assets were exaggerated for loan, insurance and tax purposes.
The 222-page suit, which also names ex-Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg, says the defendants “engaged in numerous acts of fraud and misrepresentation in the preparation of Mr.

America will retaliate with 'a devastating strike' against Russia's military if Vladimir Putin uses nuclear weapons in Ukraine, the United States Army's former European commander has warned.
Retired Lieutenant General Ben Hodges today said any response by America 'may not be nuclear' but warned that if Putin were to use nukes in Ukraine that the US could look to 'destroy the Black Sea Fleet or destroy Russian bases in Crimea'.
His comments come after the Russian premier sent shockwaves around the world, as he announced the 'partial mobilization' of his reserve military forces to continue his murderous invasion of Ukraine.

Hundreds of thousands of people have left California since the Covid pandemic began in what many are calling “The California Exodus.”
In 2021, California lost a congressional seat for the first time due to the decreasing population.
However, according to California’s Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom:
It’s not because of high taxes.
It’s not because of unconstitutional Covid mask and vaccine mandates.
It’s not because of record homelessness.

In August, West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin reached a deal with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer under which the coal state lawmaker would cast the deciding vote in favor of Democrats' $745 billion Inflation Reduction Act in exchange for a promise from Democratic leaders to include language streamlining the oil and gas permitting process in the next continuing resolution. Now that House progressives are blocking the inclusion of permitting reform in the CR, Manchin is lashing out at GOP leaders for "revenge politics," blaming them for failing to deliver Republican votes to uphold the promise Schumer made to obtain Manchin's vote for a budget-busting tax and spending bill

The House on Wednesday passed a bill to reform the Electoral Count Act in ways Liz Cheney and other proponents say would clarify that the vice president's role in counting electoral votes is purely ceremonial, and is meant to head off future efforts to try to overturn election results.
It cleared the chamber on a mostly party-line vote, 229-203, with nine Republicans joining all Democrats to vote for it, even as Republican leaders 'whipped' against the bill.
'This bill will prevent Congress from illegally choosing the president itself,' said Cheney (R-Wyo.), who coauthored the bill with Democratic Rep. Zoe Lofgren (Calif.),

Somewhere over the Rainbow, there’s a place where bluebirds sing, troubles melt like lemon drops, and I don’t have to write another gol durned story about idiots trying to hijack a cultural icon to make a silly point about LGBTQ people being “just like us.” We’re informed by Variety that Warner Brothers has decided to remake a film that will never be equaled or duplicated and, just to annoy me and others on the right, it will feature some kind of LGBTQ “representation.”
In this case, it’s the beloved children’s book, The Wizard of Oz, that was made into one of the most delightful films in history.

Michelle Obama plans for the world to see – and hear – more of her and her “earned wisdom” than ever before. To that end the former first lady announced Wednesday a six-city tour this fall promoting her new book, The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times, beginning mid-November in Washington, DC, and ending a month later in Los Angeles.
“I’m looking forward to making some new connections — and of course, seeing some familiar faces from the last tour,” she said in a joint statement released through her publisher, Crown, and tour promoter Live Nation.

In 1990, Ken Burns was the great talent behind The Civil War, an epic nine-episode PBS documentary that he made for PBS. It was comprehensive, gorgeous, heartbreaking, and riveting. His later work wasn’t as good but it was still damned good. But Burns, like so many leftists, is now so riddled with hatred for Republicans that he cheapens his every utterance and destroys his own legacy. The latest example is how he’s used his upcoming documentary, The US and the Holocaust, to bash modern Republicans and cover for WWII-era Democrats.

Bombshell allegations by FBI Special Agent Steve Friend contained in a whistleblower complaint filed late Wednesday with the Department of Justice inspector general reveal a politicized Washington, DC, FBI field office cooking the books to exaggerate the threat of domestic terrorism, and using an “overzealous” January 6 investigation to harass conservative Americans and violate their constitutional rights.
Friend, 37, a respected 12-year veteran of the FBI and a SWAT-team member, was suspended Monday, stripped of his gun and badge, and escorted out of the FBI field office in Daytona Beach, Fla., after complaining to his supervisors about the violations.

New York—Former FBI Director James B. Comey is on a career path both new and familiar—crime fiction. Comey has a deal to write two novels for The Mysterious Press, an imprint of Penzler Publishers. The first is called “Central Park West,” and it features an assistant U.S. Attorney looking into ties between the Mafia and the murder of a local politician. The book is scheduled for next spring. “I’m excited to take readers inside fascinating worlds I’ve come to know from my time in government and the private sector,” Comey, who served an assistant U.S. Attorney from 1996-2001, said in a statement. “These stories are fiction,

A North Dakota man charged with killing a teenager using his vehicle has reportedly admitted to intentionally hitting him after a political dispute, claiming the boy was part of a Republican "extremist group."
Shannon Brandt, 41, killed 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson early Sunday in McHenry with an SUV in an alley, KVRR-TV reported. He is charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a deadly accident.
Brandt reportedly called 911 to report the crash, authorities said. Authorities said he was allegedly drunk at the time. Court documents said he told a 911 dispatcher the teen was part of a Republican "extremist group"

Vice President Kamala Harris delivered another word salad on Tuesday as she incoherently explained where “community banks” are located.
“We invested an additional $12 billion into community banks because we know community banks are in the community, and understand the needs and desires of that community as well as the talent and capacity of community,” Harris said.
The vice president’s nonsensical remarks were made at Claflin University in South Carolina at an event with Education Secretary Miguel Cardona during a roundtable discussion with student leaders.
Harris was then mocked on social media as footage of her gaffe went viral.
