An accelerating campaign by Republican governors to send migrants to Democratic strongholds, initially seen by many Democratic officials as a political stunt, now has those officials scrambling as migrants unexpectedly arrive in a widening number of locales. The latest instance of the campaign came Wednesday afternoon when planes carrying 50 migrants seeking asylum, mostly from Venezuela, landed unexpectedly in Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts. Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s office confirmed that the state orchestrated the flights. The moves follow similar efforts by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Arizona Gov. Congrats, TX and AZ. Looks like you just may have DC's attention finally. They knew the border was a disaster but would do nothing about it.

Republican governors are beginning to fight effectively. Maybe Republicans in Washington will get a clue, but, if history is any guide, they won't. Ditch Mitch.

Democrats took the bait. This is beautiful. Why didn't the GOP start doing this years ago? Democrats' best move was to shut up and quietly pay the piper, but it's not in their nature. Now they are digging and can't put down the shovel.

The Border Patrol has indicated Texas has 5,000 illegals a day, everyday. Texas needs more planes and buses to get them to Chicago, NY, DC, and Martha's Vineyard. Why haven't any been sent to Delaware Joe's house?

Every locale that is not a "sanctuary" needs to send all their illegals to "sanctuary" communities and states until the idiots actually finish the wall, beef up border patrol and begin exporting these people back to their home countries. ---Keep it up and expand it.

In her 70 years on the throne, Queen Elizabeth II met 13 US presidents. But there was one that she took a special shine to. In his book "Kensington Palace: An Intimate Memoir from Queen Mary to Meghan Markle," author Tom Quinn wrote, "after meeting Barack Obama who she completely fell in love with – she has frequently asked her courtiers if they could arrange for him to come to Britain now he is no longer president." Over their eight years spent in the White House, Barack and Michelle Obama visited Buckingham Palace three times. The pair got off to a

It wasn’t supposed to be this way. This year likely will be the first that electric-vehicle battery costs will go up, rather than continuing the steady decline that they’ve been on for more than a decade. And EV buyers are seeing the result: several auto makers, from newcomers such as Rivian Automotive Inc. to established players such as Tesla Inc. have raised their EV prices. The move has affected all models, from mass-market electric sedans to coveted muscle cars with deep order books and even Ford Motor Co.’s EV version of the F-150 pickup truck, the vehicle that has reigned

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre lost her cool with Fox reporter Jacqui Heinrich during Friday’s press briefing regarding DHS help in responding to the migrant crisis. Heinrich specifically asked about a proposed DHS plan that was turned down by the White House, to mitigate the border crisis by rerouting migrants across the country including the northern border with Canada. (Snip) “I didn’t understand what your answer was. Did he turn down a plan or –” Heinrich pressed. “When this is over, you can look at the transcript and take a look,” Jean-Pierre replied. “So you won’t clarify?” Heinrich asked.

Friction between the Biden White House and senior officials at the Department of Homeland Security over how to handle immigration is mounting, according to internal documents and communications reviewed by NBC News, as the number of undocumented migrants crossing the southern border keeps rising and Republican governors send migrants to more Democratic-run cities. The White House has recently hosted a series of high-level meetings on immigration, where DHS officials have presented options, including flying migrants to the country’s northern border with Canada to alleviate overcrowding on the U.S.-Mexico border, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the discussions. Some DHS

On Tuesday, a 4.4-magnitude quake with a 4.3 aftershock a minute later hit Santa Rosa, California, at 6:30 p.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). It comes just a day after a "small" 2.6 magnitude earthquake was felt in Canoga Park, California, roughly 430 miles southeast of Santa Rosa, even though the USGS said earthquakes usually aren't felt if they're less than a 2 magnitude on the Richter scale. “The documents were declassified!” “Trump had every right keep them!” “They posed no risk to national security!” Conservatives have been defending Trump with these kinds of arguments ever since the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago last month. They’re missing the point, though. Seeking to prove that Trump did nothing wrong in possessing these documents is like trying to establish that the victims of Stalin’s show trials weren’t in fact Trotskyites. Well, of course they weren’t. But Stalin didn’t care if his enemies – perceived or real – were Trotskyites or “counter-revolutionaries.” What mattered to him was that they were his enemies.
