God bless Lorna Gibson and the entire family, as well as their legal team. This was not only an injustice, it was a malicious act against the Gibson family by Oberlin College's CRT-loving administration. They continue their intentional persecution of the family to this day. Mrs. Gibson has previously reported every fall the college drives by with their freshman orientation bus pointing out the "racist bakery" and encourages their students to boycott the business. The war against traditional America continues apace; one whitey at a time.

They all certainly had our prayers. Oberlin disgracefully and greedily dragged out the time trying to overturn the judgement, doing what they could --it seems-- to increase the stress and aggravation on the Gibson family.

unfortunately the Gibson's are only a little bit out of the woods because, now, they will become the cause celebre (minus the accents) for the Spanish Inquisition posing as IRS "Investigation" agents, their real legal war starts now = it is the duty of this federal government to undermine every single legitimate foundation upon which our country was founded and upon which we prospered and stayed united for these few years since 1776

I found Legal Insurrection because of this story and began reading it then. Just like I found Lucianne because of the Monica Lewinsky story. I am grateful for these sites and so glad that I found them!

Last week, Oberlin College announced it would pay Gibson’s Bakery the sum of $36.59 million in damages and attorney’s fees. With litigation now concluded, members of the community are reflecting on the circumstances of the original incident and the culmination of five years of litigation. Legal Insurrection led the way on coverage of the Gibson’s Bakery v. Oberlin College case, from the initial November 2016 protests, through the lawsuit proceedings and trial (the only national outlet with a reporter in the courtroom every single trial day), through the first appeal, then through the Ohio Supreme Court refusing to hear the case.[Snip]Now that the case is over, we are honored to present a live online event on Thursday evening, September 15, starting at 7:30 p.m. Eastern, featuring Lorna Gibson (wife of the late David Gibson) and the Gibson’s Bakery lead trial attorneys, Lee Plakas, Esq. and Owen Rarric, Esq.

Meghan Markle publicly stepped out with Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton on Saturday to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II. The four were photographed viewing a massive sea of floral tributes laid outside Windsor Castle in honor of the late monarch. We’re told it was William who extended the invite to his estranged brother and wife.[Snip]Earlier in the day, other royal family members gathered

After years of legal wrangling, Oberlin College has announced that, following the Ohio Supreme Court’s decision not to hear its appeal, it is beginning the process of paying in full the judgment against it for libeling Gibson’s Bakery and promoting a boycott. William A. Jacobson of Legal Insurrection, which has covered the case more closely than any other media outlet, announced the happy news: [Snip] Oberlin’s endowment reportedly is in the neighborhood of a billion dollars, so this sum--the original judgment plus interest, while painful, is not about to bankrupt it.

OBERLIN - The crowd milling around outside Gibson’s Bakery at midday Wednesday wasn’t there to protest. It was there to spend, spend, spend in hopes of keeping the 137-year-old business alive. “We didn’t want people to think we were demonstrating or rallying or anything like that,” said Mike Bokulich, a Navy veteran and founding member of the Lunch Bunch. In the past two years, the group has traveled to more than 90 restaurants around Lorain County and just outside its borders.[Snip]“We want to help Allyn and his mother. They’re slaving up there in the bakery…sweating like mad, trying to keep the business afloat,” Bokulich said.

A federal judge in Florida has granted Donald Trump's request to have a special master review the documents seized during the raid on Mar-a-Lago – granting a key demand of the former president and tapping the breaks on the government's investigation. Judge Aileen Cannon approved Trump's motion to appoint a special master 'to review the seized property for personal items and documents and potentially privileged material subject to claims of attorney client and/or executive privilege.' [Snip] That grants Trump and his legal team a side benefit of stalling the fast-moving proceedings that have unfolded since the August 8 FBI search of Mar-a-Lago.

Oberlin College was shocked when it found out the Catholic-run health agency it chose to outsource for student health services is…Catholic. It’s always Oberlin College. Why is it always Oberlin College!? The Catholic Church urges natural family planning (which, after the experience, is relatively easy!) instead of artificial birth control. That includes birth control pills and tubal ligation (tying the fallopian tubes to stop ovulation).(Snip)...I find it impossible for people not to know the Church’s teaching on abortion, artificial birth control, sex, pregnancy, and gender.(Snip)NPR and Oberlin College ruin their argument by including the “workaround” portion in the article.

I found it telling over the past week since I wrote in this space last Sunday about Oberlin College bringing on a Catholic agency to run its Student Health Services(Snip) that Oberlin College’s only public response, to this paper, was to issue a statement claiming its actions had been “inaccurately characterized” in recent media reports.(Snip)The Chronicle requested a copy of any contract with Bon Secours that would outline whether the provider, which has long practiced under Catholic healthcare directives, had promised to provide contraception and gender-affirming care. “The documents were declassified!” “Trump had every right keep them!” “They posed no risk to national security!” Conservatives have been defending Trump with these kinds of arguments ever since the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago last month. They’re missing the point, though. Seeking to prove that Trump did nothing wrong in possessing these documents is like trying to establish that the victims of Stalin’s show trials weren’t in fact Trotskyites. Well, of course they weren’t. But Stalin didn’t care if his enemies – perceived or real – were Trotskyites or “counter-revolutionaries.” What mattered to him was that they were his enemies.
