The major stock market indexes tumbled on Tuesday after a key measure of inflation came in worse than expected.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged 900 points, for a 2.8 percent decline. The S&P 500 dropped 3.2 percent, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 4.1 percent.
The drop, which undid a week worth of gains, came after the Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 8.3 percent in August compared to the same time last year and increased 0.1 percent from the previous month.
The rise was worse than the 8.1 percent increase that economists had expected, according to Dow Jones estimates.

Yellen is hiding in bed, biting her pillow and Powell is trembling under his desk. No worries, let's just keep printing those fake dollars. 8.3% is another lie.

Who expected "better"? Remember, for every issue/crisis there is a "light at the end of the tunnel" seen by some. It's usually an illusion or a lie. This inflation won't end next quarter or next year, unless the Washington pols are willing to go into a very steep recession and avoid the pressure to "do something". Some around here wanted 10% interest rates on bonds. They're getting their wish...they may soon wish they hadn't.

Given what obviously lies ahead in the coming years (not months - years), I submit that it's probably still not too late to bail from the market and move into cash for a while.

Biden needs to be called into the carpet. This is ridiculous. 70% of the people say the country is going in the wrong direction. This administration tells lies everyday. The people have a right to know what’s going on inside the White House. Who’s making the decisions, etc. Be it before a panel of members in congress, or whatever. He needs to answers questions face to face!

My Belgian Waffles(toaster) went from $2.99 to $4.29 within the last 12 months. Someday I'll buy those again. If it's on "sale", the TV dinners have gone from 2/$5 to $2/7. It doesn't matter because a person I know will have their refrigerator delivered in 4 weeks. Maybe even an email update.

The inflation is on purpose, the plan to break our spirit and to break us financially.

I've seen the BS commercials how the D'Rats passed the Inflation reduction Act. The Republicans need to run a commercial that if the D'Rats didn't cause the inflation in the first place there would be no need for the act.
Don't let the D'Rats make the midterms about DJT. Just keep banging away at the worsening economy.

Remember......
Every single demoncrap you know.... family, friend, coworker, church member, nieghbor... own this. They wanted this. If you hear even one of them uttering the meekest complaint, you should loudly and firmly remind them of that fact. Because it IS a fact.
Never ever forget that in the inner most part of their being... no matter who they are to you...
They hate you.
They hate America.
They are soulless.
They are godless.
And given even half a chance they will crush you out of existence.
They own this.
All of it.
I have ended relationships. Not because it is a political issue, because it is a moral issue.

Amazon's stock is getting hammered - down more than 5% today. Investor's must expect a big pullback in consumer spending going into Q4.

These "investors" must be AI programs which do not eat nor buy staples. Anyone who has spent any money in the last few months KNOWS that inflation is out of control (just like the government spending) - don't need a report. I see many convenience food items up 100% in the past 6 months. Of course, I see food-stampers who have huge carts full-to-overflowing, so perhaps these are the people who were surprised by this inflation report and are selling their portfolios.

In less than two years Biden, Obama, Soros and the illiterate democratic voters have destroyed a once great country. In less than two years these commies have cheated and stolen everything in site. Their trillions in spending have gone right into their pockets and the pockets of their wealthy supporters. You know what's gone to the people, nothing, nadda, zippo. And the ignorant union members play along with this con job while their pension and savings disappear. Joseph Stalin would be proud of these guys because everything they have said and done has been a total hoax. Get it yet. Wake up.

Here’s the problem folks. Honest elections. The Dems know that honest elections nationwide will wipe them out for years to come. Their only hope is massive election fraud and that’s their only salvation. The Democrat Party is now a criminal enterprise and will do anything to hold onto power...anything.

People are getting nervous finally, one would think...
Stock Market 101: buy low, sell high.
When there is a sell off, prices for the same stock you sold high will be lower the next day, and you can go back and buy them the next day at a lower price point, thereby increasing the amount of shares you have.
It happens many times. Why pay high prices when you can get more at a lower price? What should be MORE concerning is how many are losing (on paper until you sell) retirement wealth you were expecting?
2008 repeats itself. Market manipulation is often a factor in politics as well... ESPECIALLY how things are reported or NOT reported in the media.
Prices have gone WAY BEYOND a small increase, but yet the price of gas is "coming down" just before the mid-terms to gaslight us thinking all the other high prices are the "new normal"--
