The Noose Tightens on Putin

Original Article

Back in the days when George H.W. Bush resided in the White House, he told me rather cryptically that I would be getting an invitation to the White House. A few days later I had luncheon with his director of the CIA, Robert (Bob) Gates, one of the brightest lights that I have ever known in government. Bob wasted no time getting down to business. He told me of his concern that the Russians, who were friendly with us in those days, were not going to have enough time to implement their economic reforms. He also spoke of the Russians’ ardor to be recognized as part of the West.

Comments:

Interesting info on Russians not happy with the war on Ukraine leaving the country and moving to Georgia.

Noose tightening is different than "walls closing in" I suppose. Either way, I'll believe it when I see it.

Putie Poot will be dead from his cancer in a year or will have been poisoned to death. As for the war he started, we'll see, but thinking Dvornikov will either commit suicide or disappear all together and his military will desert. As for the people of Ukraine, decades will be needed to restore the country...assuming that corruption has loosened its grip on the now impoverished nation.

A pox on both houses. Neither is in the right, neither particularly “pure” no matter how defined. Our only interest in Ukraine is to sell used military equipment to pay for replenishing our own with the proceeds - basically money laundering. A secondary interest is to antagonize Russia, for old times sake.

GHW Bush should have really pushed to bring Russia into the West. Their leadership in the mid, late-80s was far more willing to get down to business than Putin, perhaps because the Russian people wanted big Walmart Super Centers, too. We could have focused more on China militarily and economically.

Re #9, I worked for ten years trying to make longer term business connections to Russia and other former Soviet states via cooperative projects between US companies and former Soviet scientists and engineers, primarily those who had worked on WMDs in the past. Putin basically tossed us out and stopped all cooperation with US companies in about 2012 after twenty years of cooperation.

I wonder why we wanted Ukraine in NATO anyway. Aren’t there enough members not paying their bills? I’m not sure what the Russian public thinks of western weapons systems on their border or the necessity of the war. Maybe if bidet’s policies keep enriching the cartels they will be able to take over Mexico or at least portions of it and can make a deal with China to put Chinese weapons systems on our border. Then peelousey can fly to mexico so her “son” can get into some partnerships there, like in Ukraine and taiwan.

The noose is tightening on Soros installed puppet Zelensky. Russia is grinding down his forces with artillery and state of the art air defenses. Ukraine cannot put a fixed wing plane in the air or successfully launch enough missiles to beat Russian air defenses. They have not launched any successful counter attacks against Russian forces. The only thing that stops Ukraine from suing for peace is continued and corrupt support from NATO, primarily the US.

There is no reason to believe anything that is being publicized about the Russia-Ukraine war, regardless of the source. I dearly love Mr. Tyrell, but suspect his opinions are colored by his prior years under the GWB regime, which was infested with "cold warriors" living in the past and neo-con roaches seeking to advance their Trotskyite visions of a global hegemony--with them at the top! Yes, there is no doubt that the prior Russian leadership wanted to have perestroika and a closer relationship with the West, since that enabled them to increase their own wealth at the expense of the common people, just like Western politicians had been doing for decades, but it soon became apparent to the Russian Old Guard, including Putin, that the West intended to erase Russia as a distinct entity and replace it with their idea of a grandiloquent global system, just as they had and have been doing to America and the nation-states of Europe. Look around! See what the Bushes, Clintons, Obama and their ilk have done to our country! They ALL wanted to "fundamentally change" it, but Obama was the only one stupid enough to say that out loud and give away the game. They want to sexualize--and thereby neuter--your children, enstupidate and propagandize them in their "public education" (rather "indoctrination") gulags, anesthetize them with drugs (imported from China and brought across what is now laughably called our "southern border" by Mexican cartels), encourage racial strife and criminal activity, and completely gut our economy and corrupt our currency so as to impoverish us and blatantly deprive us of our constitutional rights of free assembly and association, enforcing bans on attending church services while allowing unimpeded shopping at big box stores and demonstrations/riots by BLM during the so-called pandemic. This is all being done INTENTIONALLY by the corrupt regime installed courtesy of a democrat party and its administrative state actors who are lacking any scintilla of interest in preserving our constitutionally-established republic, but solely focused on preserving and increasing their own power and wealth. Putin looked around and said, "Nyet!" to the same thing being allowed to happen in his own country. Many Russians agree with him, despite the best efforts of the globalist media to convince us otherwise, otherwise why would he still be in power? You may fantasize about his overthrow or the defeat of his military by the "brave" and "patriotic" Ukrainians (many of whom certainly exist) but at the end of the process, Ukraine will have been destroyed, its people impoverished or compelled to become exiles and only its political leaders will have benefited from this slaughter. The Ukrainian power structure would have been overthrown as Putin believed, but for massive infusions of money and military equipment from the political leadership of America and the other Western countries who saw the possibility of their own overthrow if Putin were allowed to succeed. But ask an ordinary citizen of those Western states if they support the financial destruction of their countries in order to continue to prop up the Ukrainian elites--they will give you a resounding "No!" America has no interest in the power struggle in Europe; it is only the Western Elite power structure that wants to prolong the struggle. Why? The answer is self-evident.

Putin probably sleeps with his finger on the red nuke button for insurance. Targets are dialed in with the Ukraine being one of them. Before cancer takes the Russian bear, Putin will act out in the name of the old Soviet Union back in the U.S.S.R. I don't believe the noose is tightens around anything.

Hollywood Star Drew Barrymore Accused

Hollywood star Drew Barrymore has been accused of “racism” for posting a video of herself dancing in the rain on social media. The short video shows Barrymore filming herself laughing, dancing, and encouraging others to enjoy the pouring rain. However, leftists pounced on the video and argued that it’s “racist” because she’s “frolicking in the rain.” The accusation comes from a “woke” activist with the handle @amushroomblackly who posted a video response, that quickly went viral, and accused Barrymore of cultural insensitivity. “Whenever you can, go out into the rain,” Barrymore says in her video.

Years late and billions over budget, NASA’s new moon rocket makes its debut next week in a high-stakes test flight before astronauts get on top. The 322-foot (98-meter) rocket will attempt to send an empty crew capsule into a far-flung lunar orbit, 50 years after NASA's famed Apollo moonshots. If all goes well, astronauts could strap in as soon as 2024 for a lap around the moon, with NASA aiming to land two people on the lunar surface by the end of 2025. Liftoff is set for Monday morning from NASA's Kennedy Space Center. The six-week test flight is risky and could be cut short if something fails, NASA officials warn.

The virus evolves into a less lethal form (that doesn’t kill off the hosts, in other words) that spreads even more easily. That seems to be the case with the Omicron Variant of Covid, as Shauneen Miranda of NPR reports: Researchers at Cedars-Sinai, a nonprofit health organization based in Los Angeles, examined the infectious status of individuals during the omicron surge in the U.S.

The solution is always bigger government and more control of our lives. This support came despite known or predicted collateral harms, including loss of livelihoods, elevated mortality from neglect of other diseases and ailments, “deaths of despair” from greater loneliness, and police abuses. The answer, they said, is the moralization of restrictions in pursuit of a Covid eradication strategy. People did not take kindly even to mere questioning of the restrictions. It seems like just yesterday that politicians would try to sway voters to come to their point of view and cast a vote for them. Things have changed. In the past week, Charlie Crist told conservative voters he wants nothing to do with them because they're evil; Kathy Hochul told Republicans to leave her state; and, in the culmination of this abuse, Joe Biden effectively affixed the label "fascist" to Trump's 74,216,154 voters (all of whom are actual human beings). Is it any coincidence that, in the same week, activists twice swatted Marjorie Taylor Greene?
