Trans Totalitarianism: Time For Moral Panic

The phrase "moral panic" refers to a fear-driven mass overreaction to a phenomenon that is either false or minor. (Snip) The other day, I saw on Twitter someone saying that they are a good liberal and all that, but they are really worried about what they're seeing regarding the emerging culture of the medical and teaching professions encouraging children to transition to the opposite sex. "But," said this person, "I don't want to surrender to a moral panic." I submit to you that a moral panic is precisely the correct response to this egregious phenomenon. That is, what is happening is so hideous, and so widespread,

This is a hugely significant article. It's long, but it held me from the first word to the last. And the memes too.

Yes, but we don't need to panic. We jut need to be sensible and to be heard. Telling an anxious young person that their genitalia are inappropriate is about the biggest dose of dreadful news you can ever deliver. So don't do it. Prescribing hormones to alter sexual development is not approved by the FDA, and have not been subjected to randomized trails, so should not be paid for by insurance. Mutilating surgery is an assault and should result in the loss of a medical license.

These sick b-tards are DELUSIONAL. The USA has turned over its "moral compass" to a bunch of delusional psychopaths. Look no further than Sodom and Gomorrah for how that all works out for you.

As usual Iowa Dad is wrong. Moral panic is the only thing that is appropriate here, soft resistance and quiet disagreement will not save your child or your neighbor's child. These freaks in the teaching profession and in the medical profession have to go. They are Satanic commies. My niece tells me she is going to homeschool her daughter I told her that it was really not necessary. That was a couple of weeks ago. I'm on her side now. Not only more panic moral collapse. Doctors in particular have become stupid, they are admitting the less capable students and the ones more easily manipulated with facile socialism. Screw that. All of my son's smart and motivated classmates who want to go to med school have changed their minds. They would be relinqiishing all of their autonomy and have to sign away their reason. They have opted out.

FTA: "...one of the characteristics of the totalitarian regimes they escaped was the State inserting itself between children and their parents." We keep wanting to believe that the Nelsons and Cleavers are still mainstream American society. We left those times behind decades ago. Today it is highly likely that a child is either in a single-parent (mother, grandmother) or "blended" (step-parent) home. And with that and the rise of mother-as-career-woman, the adults have long ago turned to the state education system to provide "values" and "guidance" while they pursue prosperity or fulfillment or whatever. And so the state is doing what contemporary parents ask. Your problem now is that those values are not yours. (Let's not mention the educational failures they often are.) The conservative answer would be to privatize education, to get the state out of the business except for certain exceptions, such as special needs. Conservatives should be advocating the transition to private schools, providing subisides and other incentives to assist the change...like liberals and electric cars. Schools can then address the needs and wants of customers, across the spectrum. Parent(s) can choose the school that best fits their values. And we can detach from government indoctrination.

If by 'moral panic' what one means is righteous anger, then by all means that is what is called for. We are in a war, a war against evil depravity, and one doesn't win a war by playing 'nice'.

This is a demonic severing of the bond between parent and child; the denying of the love and passion a parent has for their son or daughter. It goes so far beyond a legal right or duty. This is kidnapping. This is stealing the child. Acolytes of Dr. Mengele live and work today. In the midst of the moral rot that surrounds us, this butchery of young bodies has to be the most depraved of them all. Public schools and children's hospitals have become dangerous places for children. Parents must be very careful where they educate their children and where they receive their health care. No longer can a public institution be taken on face value. The one thing we have going for us; they openly boast their policies with slick PR videos on their web sites. Transgenderism is the most critical spiritual and moral issue of our day. This is a lengthy article but well worth the investment of your time.

Following the FBI’s raid of the residence of former President Donald Trump, there’s been much speculation about the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) motivation. Was it done to prevent Trump from running again in 2024, or was the raid related to documents and evidence surrounding the January 6th Commission? While these factors may have had some bearing on the FBI’s raid, some entirely different, and potentially larger, factors may be at play. It is likely that the FBI’s raid on Trump was driven by intelligence community fears over information that was contained within those documents relating to the RussiaGate hoax.

In a shocking report, the U.S. Census Bureau recently admitted that it overcounted the populations of eight states and undercounted the populations of six states in the 2020 census. All but one of the states overcounted is a blue state, and all but one of the undercounted states is red. Those costly errors will distort congressional representation and the Electoral College. It means that when the Census Bureau reapportioned the House of Representatives, Florida was cheated out of two additional seats it should have gotten; Texas missed out on another seat; Minnesota and Rhode Island each kept a representative they shouldn’t have; and Colorado was awarded a new member of

New York, along with other states, is moving forward with massive wind turbine projects. The push for "9,000 megawatts of offshore wind energy" comes at a high price, not only for families who are left dependent on expensive and unreliable energy, but for the planet. Wind turbines require massive amounts of rare earths for their generators and motors. A single wind turbine eats up tons of rare earth metals. Rare earth mining carried out in China is horrifyingly destructive to people and the environment. One story described radioactive lakes, high cancer rates and villagers whose "teeth began to fall out" and "hair turned white at unusually young ages". "Children were

The Democrats continue to weaponize the administrative state, from the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago to the vast expansion of the Internal Revenue Service. Shortly after Congress voted, with no Republican support, to expand the IRS by 87,000 new employees, Democratic Reps. Adam Schiff and Judy Chu of California introduced a bill to use the IRS as a vehicle to redefine infertility. When it comes to the National Archives, history has a funny way of repeating itself. And legal experts say a decade-old case over audio tapes that Bill Clinton once kept in his sock drawer may have significant impact over the FBI search of Melania Trump's closet and Donald Trump's personal office. The case in question is titled Judicial Watch v. National Archives and Records Administration and it involved an effort by the conservative watchdog to compel the Archives to forcibly seize hours of audio recordings that Clinton made during his presidency with historian Taylor Branch.

The post–George Floyd racial reckoning has hit the field of medicine like an earthquake. Medical education, medical research, and standards of competence have been upended by two related hypotheses: that systemic racism is responsible both for racial disparities in the demographics of the medical profession and for racial disparities in health outcomes. Questioning those hypotheses is professionally suicidal. Vast sums of public and private research funding are being redirected from basic science to political projects aimed at dismantling white supremacy. The result will be declining quality of medical care and a curtailment of scientific progress.
There is No Such Thing as 'Public Health' 7 replies

Out of Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century progressive reforms came the collectivist notion that disease could be eradicated with government-compelled one size fits all treatments without need for reliance on individual doctor-patient relationships. Physicians would become mere functionaries of the public health establishment. That collectivist conception gave rise to what is an oxymoron, “public health.” Truth be told, there is no such thing as “public health;” only individuals are diagnosable, and each has a unique physiological state for which a tailored treatment is almost always the best. The notion of a discernible “public health” drove creation of public health bureaucracies, like FDA, CDC, and HHS, together with state

Encounter Books has just published (posthumously) Angelo Codevilla's last book, America's Rise and Fall Among Nations, which is a fierce and unvarnished criticism of U.S. foreign policy in the 20th and 21st centuries. (Snip) Washington warned against perpetual alliances with any power but understood that temporary alliances for specific circumstances may be necessary. Codevilla contends, for example, that NATO has been obsolete since the fall of the Soviet Union, and that NATO expansion has exacerbated tensions with Russia and, more important, pushed Russia into the arms of China. But one region where Codevilla counseled America's leaders to be more forward-leaning is to form an alliance with Taiwan,

According to an article in the Chronicle of Higher Education, Black student enrollment in American colleges and universities has declined dramatically in the past ten years, 24 percent in fact, from 2.5 million students in 2010 to 1.9 million in 2020. Prior to that ten-year period, argues Chronicle reporter Oyin Adedoyin, “The story of Black college students in the USA was a narrative of success.” Judging only by numbers, Adedoyin is right. Black population on campus grew nine-fold from 1966 to 2010.
