As U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney fights for her congressional career in Wyoming on Tuesday, Texas donors including George W. Bush and Karl Rove are trying to come to her aid. The two-term congresswoman and one of former President Donald Trump’s biggest critics within the GOP has raised nearly $1 million from Texas donors—far more than she’s raised from Wyoming residents or from any other state except California, where she has raised $1.4 million.(Snip)The list of donors also includes oil and gas industry executives such as S. Javaid Anwar, president of Midland Energy, and Ray Hunt, executive chairman of Hunt Consolidated in Dallas.

Albuquerque, N.M.—The fatal film-set shooting of a cinematographer by actor Alec Baldwin last year was an accident, according to a determination made by New Mexico’s Office of the Medical Investigator following the completion of an autopsy and a review of law enforcement reports. The medical investigator’s report was made public Monday by the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office along with numerous reports from the FBI on the revolver and ammunition that were collected following the shooting. Prosecutors have not yet decided if any charges will be filed in the case, saying they would review the latest reports and were awaiting cell phone data from Baldwin’s attorneys.

A new contract between public schools and the teachers' union in the city of Minneapolis is causing outrage because it may see white teachers laid off at the expense of teachers of color. The stipulation is part of a new agreement starting in spring 2023 between the Minneapolis Federation of Teachers and Minneapolis Public Schools ending a two-week long teachers' strike.(Snip)The contract states: 'The District shall deprioritize the more senior teacher, who is not a member of an underrepresented population, in order to recall a teacher who is a member of a population underrepresented among licensed teachers'.(Snip)The agreement could prove important very soon,

A luxury Manhattan hotel once touted as the “Lullabuy of Broadway” will soon be providing beddy-bye to hundreds of asylum-seeking migrants, The Post has learned. Mayor Eric Adams plans to convert the Row NYC—formerly known as the Milford Plaza and located in pricey, tourist-packed Times Square—into an intake center and shelter for as many as 600 migrant families amid the city’s spiraling homelessness crisis, three sources familiar with the matter said.(Snip)The DHS’s move to try to snag a location more quickly was exclusively revealed by The Post. “The population served by the selected vendor will be families with children, adult couples and individual adults,”

If you see something, stomp something. New Yorkers can do their part in the battle against the spotted lantern flies that threaten the state’s plant life, which is getting a multimillion-dollar boost to help poison, trap and track the pesky insects, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said Sunday.(Snip)He promised a $22 million federal allocation for the state to squash out the menace, with most of the funding to go to New York City.(Snip)Schumer said the infestation poses a serious economic threat to the state’s fruit and vegetable industry and to Long Island’s $6.5 billion wine business. “All of that is at severe risk,” he said.

A shocking new report has claimed that UN peacekeepers from 12 different countries have fathered and then abandoned thousands of children in poverty-stricken Democratic Republic of Congo since 1999. The report also claims that soldiers and police operating under a UN mandate in the war torn country have abused children, raped young women and traded food for 'survival sex.' One victim was just ten years old when her aunt trafficked her to UN peacekeepers who plied her with beer, raped her and got her pregnant, the report states. The majority of the absent fathers were from Tanzania and South Africa, while others were from Morocco, Uruguay, Nepal and Bangladesh.

San Francisco—What takes four years to make and costs more than $20,000? A trash can in San Francisco. That costly, boxy bin is among six trash cans hitting San Francisco’s streets this summer in the city’s long saga in search of the perfect can. Overflowing trash cans are a common sight in the Northern California city, along with piles of used clothes, shoes, furniture and other items strewn about on sometimes-impassable sidewalks.(Snip)Officials say the current bins have too big a hole that allows for easy rummaging. The bins also have hinges that need constant repair and locks that are easy to breach. Some people also topple them

Former President Donald Trump's niece, Mary Trump, has suggested his son-in-law Jared Kushner could be the mole in the Trump camp who tipped off the FBI about confidential documents that were being held at Mar-a-Lago. Monday's raid was approved by Attorney General Merrick Garland, but it's believed a confidential source first gave information to federal authorities. Speaking with SiriusXM host Dean Obeidallah, Mary Trump was asked if she had any idea who the suspect might be.(Snip)'It sounds like somebody in Jared's position. I'm not saying it's Jared, but. It could be,' Trump said with a smile. The $2 billion Mary Trump was referring to

Swedish academics have denounced a proposal by a government minister to limit the number of non-Scandinavian residents in neighbourhoods as “state racism.” Ten academics largely comprised of professors from various Swedish universities slammed the proposal made by Minister for Integration Anders Ygeman, who said he would support a policy to limit the number of non-Scandinavian or “non-Nordic” residents in areas so they did not become a majority. “The proposal is difficult to take seriously, but at the same time frightening. It brings to mind the apartheid system and state racism that would cement and legitimise ethnic divisions instead of fighting them,” the experts said

The CWB Chicago article said prosecutors dropped several Class X felony charges in the deal made with the man, whose name is Tarek Masri.(Snip)Authorities arrested Masri in 2018, thanks to DNA findings in the assault, which reportedly took place a few years before, according to the outlet:
Early on June 13, 2015, the then-23-year-old victim went out with friends to celebrate her passing the Certified Public Accountant exam, prosecutors said during Masri’s initial bail hearing.

Hunter Biden met with his father multiple times while working for a Romanian real estate tycoon accused of corruption—an effort that netted Joe Biden’s second son and associates “millions” of dollars, a source close to the arrangement told The Post. The timing of the meetings between the then-vice president and his son have raised questions about the “full truth” of the involvement with Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings, critics said.(Snip)Hunter Biden began working for Gabriel Popoviciu in the spring of 2015, insiders say. The Romanian wanted Hunter Biden’s help fighting a conviction stemming from his purchase of a 550-acre parcel of government-owned land
Comments:
FBI was given laptops brimming with corruption at the highest levels, and refuses to investigate. Meanwhile, they wiretap Donald Trump, fabricate evident against him, and raid his home. Where is there a Republican vowing not only to investigate, but to dismantle entirely our secret police agencies, which quite clearly operate contrary to the USA?
