This could be the first step toward Attorney General Merrick Garland’s impeachment.
Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia introduced articles of impeachment targeting Garland in the House of Representatives on Friday. (snip) Greene’s impeachment resolution accuses Garland of “endangering, compromising, and undermining the justice system of the United States” by aiding in the “persecution” of former President Donald Trump.

Rep. Greene, good. This will help set the table to remove the garlic man, et al, next year.

I hope that she files these articles if/when the Republicans take over the House. I know that if McCarthy does become speaker his first instinct will be to chant the usual Republican incantation of bipartisanship, starting afresh, ending the anger, etc. He mustn't be allowed to get away with that. The past six years have shown that the Democrat Party wants to completely destroy any opposition. It has escalated to such a point that members of that evil party every day say, with straight faces but with no evidence, that the Republicans seek to end democracy and plunge the country into a dictatorship.
If it loses the House, the Democrat Party must be punished otherwise the escalation will continue when it inevitably regains control. McCarthy must treat the Democrats as Nancy Pelosi has treated Republicans. We know that Mitch McConnell will do nothing in the Senate so its up to McCarthy and those who, like Margery Taylor Green, understand the peril we all are in with this terrible Democrat Party.
If they have any sense all Republican candidates should run on de-funding the billions of dollars shoveled to the IRS. Take the funding away with the next reconciliation and if Biden won't sign then shut down the government.

Thanks, Taylor Greene, someone over there in the Republican party showing some spine. The pathetic piece that McCarthy offered was just that, pathetic. Memo to the rest of the spineless Republicans, don't count on victory just yet. The dems won't just shrivel up and go away. Taylor Green is right, Merrick Garlic needs to go, sooner than later. His lack of jurisprudence is totally covered in corruption and devoid of any logic. I hear NYC is looking for doormen, that might be something for him.

Good move. Sadly, it won't go anywhere under Nutty, Nasty Nancy, but let's get the ball rolling for after November.

The rest of the Republicans need to grow a spine, emulate MTG, Boebert, Mace and Blackburn, DO something besides run your mouth with talking points, then when it comes to doing something you tuck tail and hide behind the ultimate rhino Mitch McConnell. He needs to be the first voted out of office, his expiration date is way past due!

Agree with #2. The only thing Dems understand is force. Give them a taste of their own medicine and perhaps, after much political bloodshed, a truce can be achieved stopping the politics of personal destruction.
