The FBI is dissolving before our eyes into a rogue security service akin to those in Eastern Europe during the Cold War.
Take the FBI's deliberately asymmetrical application of the law. This week the bureau surprise-raided the home of former President Donald Trump -- an historical first.
A massive phalanx of FBI agents swooped into the Trump residence while he was not home, to confiscate his personal property, safe, and records. All of this was over an archival dispute of presidential papers common to many former presidents. Agents swarmed the entire house, including the wardrobe closet of the former first lady.
Note we are less than 90 days out from a midterm election

As usual, VDH hit the nail precisely on the head!
Although true, the article is painful to read. While the leadership, from J. Edgar Hoover on, has often been biased and deceptive, the agents in the field have before been justly respected by the public.
The thing that is hard to understand now is that the field agents are not putting their oaths of office ahead of their "instructions" from above. Or at least it looks that way.

"...The FBI should be dispersing its investigatory responsibilities to other government investigative agencies that have not yet lost the public's trust."
So Victor, which ones would that be, exactly?

It is not just the FBI that has lost credibility and the trust of most Americans. The people in power and behind the scenes have realized the age-old truth; People can be easily controlled by instilling fear and terror. Our moral fibre and code was once the defense against this but America and most Americans have very little of this remaining. Our crappy education system, cultural influencers, elected officials, and even religious institutions have subverted and undermined this. So yes, good bye FBI you have permanently stained your honor and are now a politicized weapon aimed at the masses

Let us not forget the FBI controls background checks for security clearances. They can virtually decide who does or doesn't get the job in the military industrial complex.

Remember the movie Die Hard. The bad guys were counting on the bumbling and stupidity of the FBI in order to get to the 600 million in bonds from a time locked safe. Sure enough Agents Johnson and Johnson (no relation) helped them without even knowing it. Both were obnoxious, arrogant and overbearing with little regard for the public. Basically a pathetic joke. That's what the real life FBI has been reduced to under our idiot president, arrogant attorney general and duplicitous FBI director.

Well, for full disclosure it could be renamed as the "Dimkkkrap Palace Guard aka Nouveaux KKK" with a logo consisting of an image of bidet and huncher and a more distant Trump with the caption "Guards! Seize him!"

Is anyone else wondering if Germans and journalists had this opinion about the Gestapo in the early days?

Many times I think VDH is the only clear headed thinker in the room. Why aren’t there more adults like him. Maybe they’re hiding.

My trust in the FBI is almost as high as my trust in Faux-chi's CDC!

All one has to look at the J6 prisoners to understand how authoritarian/totalitarian our justice agencies have become.
There is NO justice ! Some of the members are seditious scum.

I have been saying that the FBI is now the KGB for quite some time, and recommending that the FBI be erased and NOT replaced.
Now the much esteemed VDH has also realized that this is the only workable path forward.

Nobody talks about the fact the FBI has a policy to stay out for the papers for 90 days prior to every national election. They ran this op to get it in just before their deadline, and the day before his NY depo. You couldn't get any more political.

All except for that "P" part. They don't deserve it.
#6, one of those agents, Robert Davi, is one of us. Good man.

According to various polls, only 27 percent of the American public have confidence in the Federal government. Two-thirds reportedly believe Presidential elections are rigged, which ones depend on your party affiliation. And, so?
Distrust is the foundation of our government, the reason we have a Constitution that creates three branches of government to compete with one another, keeping the others "honest" exercising their powers. And within that distrust construct was also a distrust of The People, which is why there is a Senate (state interests) and House of Representatives (popular sentiments), and why the House has short terms. The idea was that citizens could keep a check on government at the ballot box. And that seems to be a missing link.
We re-elect about 90 percent of incumbents running. You see, it's not my guy who's the problem. That's the intended "term limits", and we are failing in our duty.
The FBI and other Deep State agencies aren't going anywhere but up - Americans love "security", not defunding law enforcement. Back the blue/badge? The intent now is to fear the blue/badge. (Whatever happened to those "I got nothing to hide" proponents of the Patriot Act?)
