There is a "deep state" of government bureaucrats who regularly disrupt the commander in chief's plans, former President Donald Trump said in a recent interview.
In talking with popular conservative commentator Dan Bongino, Trump opened up about how officials within his own administration created roadblocks for his agenda and put blame on recommendations he received from "RINOS," or Republicans in Name Only, a pejorative often used to criticize fellow members of the GOP.
"Look, there is a deep state," Trump said. "There is a group of people that are not doing a very good job for the country."
Yes there is sir, which brings me to ask why on earth did you appoint so much of it in your administration? If it was due to that no good rat who is married to Ivanka, you really need to stop listening to him. He is a part of the swamp you and decent Americans loathe.

I wish he could name names, but I realize he can’t.
I would like to know if his “trust list” mirrors mine.

Thank you, Pres. Trump! Keep shining the light on the devious deep state rats! They try to hide but need to be exposed! ...The dems' press sure tries to shields them.

His closest assistants can only be drawn from a very tiny population of security checked people. Very few of the people surrounding DJT were "his" people. Most of them, far and away, were the riders of the bureaucratic merry go round who spend their entire career shuffling from one department to another as assistants and directors and whatever other label they work under.
99.87 of all DC operators HATE Donald Trump with a passion. He upsets their applecart and derails the gravytrain. Do you think Fauci would be getting royalties from Pharma if DJT knew about it?
It is a complete miracle that Donald Trump even completed his presidency, AND he accomplished so incredibly much with such a rebellious, mutinous crew.
So, these people are going to do everything and anything they must to ensure DJT never sees the Oval Office again. When I say "anything", I mean they will go as far as killing him and/or his family if they have to.
This is the country we now live in, kind of like Bidet's favorite place, Ukraine. The elites will not give up, and since there is no justice except for middle class people, they will never answer for their crimes. I mean, that's what the DOJ does, protect the elites, right?

I don’t trust a single soul in Washington so nothing or no one would surprise me. The whole place is like a huge woke leftist playground with self-important, overly educated, arrogant, spoiled brat hustlers making bureaucratic decisions or passing legislation and hauling in fortunes while bleeding the honest citizenry dry. They aren’t so much appointed or elected as sicced on us.

President Trump became aware of the Deep State apparatus about the same time we did. He had no idea there were people within the GOP working against the country. We all assumed they were democrats because that's what they do all of the time. Now we are educated and will eventually fix the problem. FBI, CIA, and NSA corruption became known after Hillary started the process with MI6 help and Trump's first impeachment circus began. Stop blaming Trump for trusting people that he had no reason not to trust at the time.

Win or lose in 2024 Trump will be remembered and revered for his Supreme Court picks that changed the course of history. I think people assumed Trump, with his inexperience at running a government would need the help of RINO's to help him and make things run more smoothly. He won't make the same mistake again and his new slogan should be...No More Mr. Nice Guy. There will be no more Rex Tillerson picks or John Kelly types. Trump has made history again with his incredible success in picking people that agree with his philosophy. That philosophy does not include the Kushners or too many people to mention here.

We need DJT more than ever. The Dems just passed another 3/4 if a trillion spending bill full of garbage. This is just pouring gas on the already raging inflation. On top of that this bill raises taxes on the middle class so they keep up this wasteful spending.

Why in the world would anyone think that if we can just get Trump to run again that he'll somehow wave a magic wand THIS TIME to cancel the Deep State in one fell swoop? Poof. Just like that.
Not even a minuscule chance that'll happen. Despite his good intentions, he couldn't effectively drain the Swamp the first time around and he won't be able to do it this time. Nothing's really changed in the last few years except the Left has honed and perfected their anti-Trump rhetoric. The media continues to target his vulnerability---his ego---by egging him on to run again.
No matter what Trump uncovers or exposes, the Left will accuse HIM of some kind of blatant or convoluted fraud. They'll demand more investigations, more committees. We'll be mired in a Muck Stream 24/7. I think Trump could do much more for the country if he settled into the role of kingmaker or started a serious media empire to compete with CNN or FoxNews.

FTA: "Trump opened up about how officials within his own administration created roadblocks for his agenda and put blame on recommendations he received from 'RINOS'..."
Let's set the Wayback Machine to 2016 just after the election. The President-Elect was forming his cabinet. The stories were legion about how he handled his own personnel matters down to even minor offices. What RINO recommended Gentleman Jeff for Justice? What RINO recommended T-Rex, Mad Dog, or Omarosa? Which RINO recommended Bolton or Gorka? Which RINO recommended promoting Wray? A step further, let's not forget his endorsements of Romney, Mitch and others. Take it down the line, and one concludes that either PDT was enthralled with RINOs, or he made some bad decisions on his own failing to recognize "bad advice" - over four years in office.
Personnel is FPDT's Achilles heel. And personnel is policy.
Sorry, Mr. President, you made the appointments, not some RINO.

Being the new man on the job causes confusion ...President Trump had a very few days to make decisions as to who he would appoint...and trust...I'm reminded of lying Ryan ..who was the republican speaker...that walked president Trump into many traps...and of course the toad McConnell...who could not be trusted because of his family connection to china...the biggest disappointment was bill Barr and veep pence....

Most of the above posters seem to suppose that cabinet-level appointees constitute the bulk of the deep state. I think the most subtle and insidious members of the deep state are found in the sub-cabinet level, those who for years have occupied their positions in both democrat and republican administrations, sometimes cycling out of government to work for D.C. law firms or lobbying shops, then returning a few years later, but always in close contact with their deep state co-conspirators and self-dealers. I don't see Jeff Sessions as a deep-stater. He was a weakling who received his marching orders from the deep state DOJ captains and lieutenants who have run the DOJ for years--men like Rod Rosenstein. Yes, some cabinet-level Trump appointees were deep-staters, especially in the State Department, DOJ, FBI, NSC, CIA, and National Intelligence. Virtually every member of Trump's National Security Council was a deep-stater, and most of them are still on the council (there are dozens of NSC members). Richard Armitage was a particularly guileful deep-stater during the George W. Bush administration, as was HR McMaster during the Trump administration. I couldn't say whether Anthony Bolton was as much a deep-stater as he was a pro-war anti-deep-stater.
To his credit, Admiral Mike Rogers was a patriot who came to Trump early on and warned him that he was being surveilled by the deep state. Comey and Wray are both deep-staters, but their underlings like Andrew McCabe, Lisa Page, and Peter Strzok were even more dangerous, because they operated sub rosa. There are thousands more like them.
Trump didn't know Washington, and had few close contacts within Washington whom he could trust to advise him on appointments. To my mind, Trump's greatest achievements came from following Rush Limbaugh's canny political insights. But Rush is gone now, and no one is quite up to his level. That's one of several reasons I wonder whether Ron DeSantis might be more effective than a Donald Trump second term in the 2024 election.
Washington, D.C. is a deadly Machiavellian carnival.

If DJT gets back into the White House, he should FIRE as many bureaucrats as he can and fill those positions with graduates of Hillsdale College.

A friend of mine came to me with a story that we both thought was interesting at the time. He was employed by a local government and on conversational terms with the head of his department. A new mayor was elected on the basis of a grand vision for his administration. Listening to his speech, the department head snickered and said it would never happen. When my friend asked why not, the department head said, "The people who run this city don't like him. He will be gone in four years. But we will still be here."
That my friends IS the deep administrative state. It is thousands of government employees who show up for work every day with the power to get something done or not. It is a piece of paper sitting in someone's in-basket for weeks, months, or years. It is an "accidental" trip to the circular file or shredder, "lost" requests, "yes Mr. President" to his face and "h... No" behind his back.
Personally, I think the next president should go through the entire budget, department by department, page by page, to see for himself how every dime is being spent, consult with honest legislators of both parties (if there be any left) to see what is working and what is not, then clean house. There will be much screeching and caterwauling. But who in their right mind can object to the legitimate reduction of fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement?
