Biden administration officials are set to announce Tuesday a new strategy to split monkeypox vaccine doses in hopes of vaccinating up to five times as many people against the virus, according to officials with direct knowledge of the plan. The strategy, first described publicly by Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Robert Califf last week, would allow the Biden administration to stretch its limited supply of monkeypox vaccines by changing how those shots are administered. Rather than inject doses of Jynneos subcutaneously, a traditional way of delivering vaccines into the fatty tissue under the skin, the doses would instead be injected under the top layer of the skin.

It’s not quite September yet, but with many of the primaries now over, mid-term election season is on the cusp of heating up. In Ohio, J.D. Vance is the favorite to take the GOP-held senate seat there. Meanwhile, things are dicier in places like Arizona and Pennsylvania, with Blake Masters and Mehmet Oz locked in tough battles to replace Democrat incumbents. Help is on the way, though. Gov. Ron DeSantis is setting out on the campaign trail to flex his political muscles, looking to hold multiple rallies over the next few weeks. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is hitting the campaign trail this month to headline Turning Point Action’s “Unite and Win”

Using government to persecute political opponents happens in “Marxist dictatorships,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said on Monday following news of the FBI raiding former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago.
“Using government power to persecute political opponents is something we have seen many times from 3rd world Marxist dictatorships But never before in America,” Rubio said Monday evening following the news. He later connected the raid to the Senate’s passage of the radical $700 billion Inflation Reduction Act, which among other things, allots $80 billion to hire 87,000 new IRS enforcement agents “to target Americans with as many as one million additional audits per year on taxpayers earning less than $200,000

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) sounded off on the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) reported execution of a search warrant of former President Donald Trump’s residence at Mar-a-Lago in Florida.
“The raid of MAL is another escalation in the weaponization of federal agencies against the Regime’s political opponents, while people like Hunter Biden get treated with kid gloves,” DeSantis tweeted. “Now the Regime is getting another 87k IRS agents to wield against its adversaries? Banana Republic.” On Monday, Trump announced that FBI was conducting a search of his private home at Mar-a-Lago and that the raid was “unannounced.”

“An attack on one is an attack on all.” That keystone of the NATO charter in Article V has served as a deterrent for a major European war for nearly 80 years. Could a similar pact serve as a deterrent for boycott attacks on conservative states?
Jonathan Turley looks at the political landscape, and especially the vapid boycotts imposed by equally vapid governors and legislatures on red states, and says it might work. This wouldn’t aim at private boycotts, but rather the state-to-state boycott actions championed by Democrat pols like Gavin Newsom and Stacey Abrams, about which Karen wrote earlier:
Such campaigns have succeeded, particularly with private companies.

The way Democrats and the mainstream media talk incessantly about former President Donald Trump, one would think that it’s Trump and not Joe Biden who currently occupies the Oval Office. Indeed, even Biden himself can’t stop obsessing over Trump, bizarrely invoking him in recent comments he made about his recent bout with COVID. He also made sure that Democrats marked the anniversary of the Jan. 6, 2020 Capitol riot complete with a speech in which Trump was the focus and where Biden proclaimed Trump was responsible for the breach of the U.S. Capitol, something he reiterated during a virtual White House event in July.

Donald Trump Jr., the eldest child of former President Donald Trump, reacted to the FBI raid at the former president’s Florida home, Mar-A-Lago, saying that the Democrats are “openly targeting their political enemies.”
“[President Joe] Biden’s out of control DOJ is ripping this country apart with how they’re openly targeting their political enemies,” Trump stated on social media. He added that a raid on political opponents “is what you see happen in 3rd World Banana Republics!!!” The former president, who was the first to confirm the raid, released a lengthy statement, part of which stated, “These are dark times for our Nation,” as his home “is currently under siege,

GOP Leadership in the House has responded forcefully to the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago, with GOP leader Kevin McCarthy directly calling out Attorney General Merrick Garland, and the Republicans on the Judiciary Committee tearing into the FBI for the raid. McCarthy’s statement was straight to the point. McCarthy’s tweet came hours after former President Donald Trump emailed supporters announcing the FBI was raiding his home in Mar-a-Lago. Trump was not at the resort at the time of the raid. It also comes after Garland in recent weeks indicated he was serious about moving forward on investigating the former president

President Joe Biden is reportedly worried about “the optics” of Democrat mayors suddenly opposing illegal immigration as Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) buses border crossers and illegal aliens to their cities.
For months, Abbott and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) have bused thousands to New York City, New York, and Washington, DC — drawing opposition from New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) and Washington, DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser (D).While Bowser — who requested the D.C. National Guard but was turned down by the Pentagon — has described the busing of border crossers and illegal aliens as a “crisis,” Adams has called the buses arriving in his city “horrific.”

It was certainly shocking news to hear on Monday that the FBI was raiding Mar-a-Lago. There was more news about what might be behind it, relating to classified material that Trump might have but if that’s the case, it makes it even more ridiculous as there would be other ways to proceed. It seemed like a fishing expedition to see what they could grab. But perhaps nowhere could it be more shocking or more upsetting than to the Trump family who have been pursued, for so long by the Democrats, with every political effort they have thrown at them. Poll findings suggest “U.S. cities could be facing an uptick in hunger and homelessness in the next coming months…” because of rampant inflation overseen by the Biden administration, Axios reported on Monday.
The outlet spoke with Robert Blendon, the co-director of an NPR, The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health survey which found that Americans are struggling to afford housing and “timely medical care for serious illnesses.” “It’s very striking,” Blendon told Axios. “We’re in an inflationary period here and it’s unusually broadly hitting minority communities even worse than everyone else.”

CNN anchor Chris Wallace said Monday on “At This Hour” that Democrats do not want President Joe Biden to run in 2024 because of his age.
Reading from Maureen Dowd’s New York Times article, Bolduan said. “The timing of your exit can determine your place in the history books. This is something Joe Biden should keep in mind as he is riding the crest of success.” Wallace said, “Remember, in the CNN poll of polls, I think it’s 75%of Democrats say they would like to see another Democratic nominee for president in 2024. You know, and we’ve seen this in businesses, that, you know, thank you very much for your service.
