Is there anyone out there who's not disgusted, utterly disgusted, with the chic Vogue fashion-glamour shots of Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife from the rubble and war rooms of Ukraine? (Snip for tweet) Vogue's hagiographic cover story is about what you'd expect from an organ that once placed a gushing glamour-profile of the Syrian dictator's wife on its cover.
It begins with this gushery:
There is no script for first ladies in wartime, and so Olena Zelenska is writing her own. The wife of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a longtime comedy writer,

When it comes to the most insufferable Democrat in Congress, Rep. Eric Swalwell, there's always the stench of something.
This time, it's raw campaign finance corruption, given Swalwell's amazing life of luxury lived out to the max on campaign funding. It sounds like the same kind of grift that put his California Republican congressional colleague, Duncan Hunter, jr., in a prison cell.
According to Fox News:
Eric Swalwell's campaign shows no signs of slowing its luxury spending, racking up more international costs at the likes of a five-star Paris hotel, federal filings show.

here is no script for first ladies in wartime, and so Olena Zelenska is writing her own. The wife of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a longtime comedy writer, always preferred to stay behind the scenes, while her husband, a comedian turned politician whose presidency may yet determine the fate of the free world, glowed in the limelight. But ever since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, Zelenska has suddenly found herself center stage in a tragedy. When I met her on a recent rainy afternoon in Kyiv, where cafés were busy even amid frequent air-raid sirens, her luminous face and green-brown eyes seemed to capture the range of emotions

A few days ago, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, speaking to the global elites at some summit in Aspen, surreally declared that the U.S. border "is secure."
It was garbage, much as everything else he says, given that more than 3 million illegal aliens with zero vetting have crossed into the U.S. on Joe Biden's watch. just as Rep. Andy Biggs pointed out in his excellent op-ed for Townhall here.
Millions of illegal border crossers, with a record 270,000 apprehended in just the last month, is nothing to brag about, and yet that was exactly what Mayorkas was doing, according to former ICE acting director Tom Homan.

Meghan Markle was still living with her chef then-boyfriend Corey Vitiello when she went on her first date with Prince Harry, a new book claims.
According to “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors,” out now in the UK, Meghan — then an actress on the USA Network drama “Suits” — in 2016 put into action a plan to befriend a group of well-connected Brits.
Among them were Harry’s childhood friend Violet von Westenholz, who was working as a publicist for Ralph Lauren.

So by the laws of the left, it's not only O.K. to hound and harass a Supreme Court justice in his home, the whole neighborhood can get harassed out of house and home, too.
That's the reality, now that filthy-mouthed and potentially violent protestors are getting away with such deeds against Justice Brett Kavanaugh and now his neighbors.
According to Fox News:
Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s neighbors are fed up with the actions of protesters near their homes as some engaging in pro-choice activism have chosen to personally target residents, rather than heed noise complaints.

Yesterday, most mainstream media outlets reported that a number of Democrat representatives — including "Squad“ members, were arrested outside the Supreme Court following protests against the Court's recent decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., a.k.a. AOC, was among those arrested for blocking traffic. Reps. Barbara Lee of California, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Cori Bush of Missouri, Jan Schakowsky of Illinois, Nydia Velazquez of New York, Madeleine Dean of Pennsylvania, and Andy Levin of Michigan were among the other legislators arrested.
The Capitol Police said they had arrested 35 people, including 17 members of Congress, for "crowding, obstructing or incommoding."

Anyone who watched the unlikely Biden campaign unfold as it did knows that Jill Biden, not-a-medical doctor, is largely responsible for the disaster that is her husband's presidency. She, more than anyone else, knew that Joe was suffering from advancing dementia, yet she signed on to the far left's plan to exile Trump no matter what the cost.
Whatever made her and the cabal that rigged the election six ways to Sunday think they could pull it off proves they are all power mad idiots. They apparently thought they could put old Joe out there as a front and implement their treasured Marxist green policies,

Joe Biden who campaigned to shut down the fossil fuel industry, and carried through on that promise through his stroke-of-a-pen shutdown of the Keystone XL pipeline and issuance of some 30 regulations to hamper domestic fuel production, has stuck to his policy like a jackass to glue. He's made America energy-dependent again, in a major shift from its previous status as a fully self-sufficient energy exporter. He says it's all about going green.
Well, it looks like the public is not buying his 'going green' schtick.
Here's a new poll from I&I/TIPP just out, showing that Americans want their fossil fuel economy back on the double.

The pay is low. The prestige is falling. The housing is often dilapidated and roach-infested. You move around a lot and your children constantly have to say 'goodbye' to their friends. The wars are lost and the border stands unguarded from invaders. The indoctrination is pure wokesterism, advising you that you're the bad guy and the flag you serve under is worth taking a knee. You take a vaccine known to harm young people, or else. You shower with unreconstructed transgender individuals. You watch as your highly bemedaled top commander doesn't bother with basic military fitness regulations required of you.

In 1870, Harper’s Bazaar published a picture of Cornelia, Mother of the Gracchi, hugging her children as she said to a sneering, jewelry-bedecked Roman matron, “These are my jewels.” (See below.) The picture fascinated me as a child, especially when I learned that the boys grew up to become famous politicians and philanthropists in pre-Christian Rome. (Because this was Rome, neither ended well, but that’s another story.) Reading about the late Ivana Trump’s life, I was reminded of Cornelia’s words and thought that they apply as well to Ivana.
I was not an Ivana Trump fan when she was Donald Trump’s wife

After a slew of bad publicity about the kind of office Vice President Kamala Harris runs, you'd think she'd be on her best behavior.
Nope. Not in the least.
Another staffer, her chief speechwriter, has jumped ship, getting the hell out after less than four months on the job.
According to a short report in Politico:
Vice President Kamala Harris’ director of speechwriting, Meghan Groob, is leaving the office less than four months into the job, two people familiar with the matter told POLITICO.
Groob was hired in April after Harris’ first chief speechwriter, Kate Childs Graham, left at the end of February.
Comments:
Vomit-inducing spin. Reminds me of the dreck they published on Syria's first lady.
