This has been going on for generations. So what's new? When I lived in Memphis, one of the oppressed minority member of the oppressed minority majority city council was arrested for accepting bribes. Caught on tape and broadcast before his arrest. When he was arrested, he made the defiant comment that they may have taken his freedom but 'At least they didn't take away MY DIGNITY!" I still laugh at the privilege he was afforded then. Now of course for a little old bribe he wouldn't even be bothered.

Some of the migrants who Mayor Eric Adams says are overloading the city’s homeless shelters have no ties to the Big Apple—but were still directed here by President Biden’s administration, The Post has learned. Outside a city Department of Homeless Services intake center in The Bronx, Veronica Prada, 28, said Wednesday that she, her husband and their four kids left their native Venezuela on April 26 and crossed the US-Mexico border into San Antonio, Texas, on July 11. They were greeted by Border Patrol agents who took them and other migrants to a processing facility where immigration officials gave the family information on how to apply for asylum

Senate lawmakers want the military to end a program created after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol to eliminate White nationalists and other extremists from its ranks. The language calling for an end to the effort is contained in a report accompanying the Senate’s annual defense policy bill, and it cites a Pentagon analysis showing that the military has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars and devoted millions of hours searching for extremism in its service branches, even though it is exceedingly uncommon. “The committee believes that spending additional time and resources to combat exceptionally rare instances of extremism in the military is an inappropriate use

Data showed that despite the surge in infections at the time, fatalities caused by Covid remained minimal among American children less than 15 years old—with the disease not becoming the leading cause of death. I am a rabbi in a legal system that excluded women for thousands of years, much like the legal system that the Supreme Court relied on in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. But unlike the American legal system, the Jewish tradition, in certain respects, including abortion, found a way to craft laws grounded in equal dignity for women.

"The time lapse between the moment that Jonathan Sapirman exited the restroom and began shooting, and when he was shot by the civilian was only fifteen seconds, not two minutes," Greenwood Police Chief James Ison said Tuesday in a statement. "The surveillance video shows Sapirman exit the restroom at 5:56:48pm. He was neutralized by Dicken at 5:57:03 pm." The statement corrects a previous police timeline in which authorities said the incident lasted two minutes.
