Ruth Sent Us, the group which posted home address for the six conservative Supreme Court Justices and invited people to protest at their homes on a weekly basis has been permanently banned by Twitter. Ruth Sent Us first posted the home addresses more than two months ago. As I pointed out at the time, they were using a specific gimmick to create plausible deniability. The addresses listed on their map gave the street name and city. But if you followed a link to their TikTok channel, they had previously posted videos shot at all six of the justices’ homes. In some of the clips, they would walk by a mailbox

Republicans are actively courting Hispanic voters in key competitive House districts, hoping to peel away voters from Democrats repeating their historical pattern of investing little and late in reaching out to Latinos.
The GOP’s approach is a danger to Democrats, as Hispanic voters are likely to play a key role in at least a dozen districts in the November midterm elections.
“It couldn’t be a starker contrast between Republicans and Democrats as we engage and do outreach to minority voters, and specifically the Hispanic community,” said Danielle Alvarez, communications director for the GOP.

Joe Manchin on Thursday rejected Senate Democrats’ proposed energy and climate investments, as well as their goals of increasing taxes on the wealthy and large corporations, according to a Democrat briefed on the discussions.
Instead the West Virginia senator said “unequivocally” during a meeting with Majority Leader Chuck Schumer that he will only support reducing drug prices and a two-year extension of Affordable Care Act subsidies as components of a party-line bill designed to evade a filibuster, the person said.
Manchin’s rejection at the meeting blew up weeks of discussions over a larger legislative package. It leaves a slim health-care focused bill as the only option

In a Wednesday tweet, the Associated Press Stylebook reiterated guidance advising journalists to refrain from using the terms “assault weapon” and “assault rifle,” which they call “highly politicized.”
“The preferred term for a rifle that fires one bullet each time the trigger is pulled, and automatically reloads for a subsequent shot, is a semi-automatic rifle. An automatic rifle continuously fires rounds if the trigger is depressed and until its ammunition is exhausted,” reads a July 2022 style tip, recommending their usage over more general references to “assault” weaponry.
According to the Stylebook, which is adhered to by newsrooms across the country,

A conservative legal organization filed a federal civil-rights complaint against Dick’s Sporting Goods on Thursday for sponsoring staff abortions while failing to provide equivalent paid maternity care to employees.
America First Legal (AFL) asked the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to open a civil-rights investigation into the company, alleging multiple violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination based on parental status.
After the decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade, Dick’s announced a special employment benefit of “up to $4,000” in travel reimbursement for an employee, spouse, or dependent

Elon Musk engaged in a war of words with MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle on Wednesday after the left-leaning anchor criticized his decision to post a critical Hunter Biden meme. Ruhle slammed Musk in response to the post, which featured a man with several cameras strapped to his head and the caption “Hunter Biden every time he buys crack and hookers.”
“Imagine the positive impact you could have on the world if you used the extraordinary amount of influence and power you have to spread decency, kindness and positivity?” tweeted the host of the cable network’s show “The 11th Hour” in response to Musk’s meme.
To which Musk fired back:

CNN data analyst Harry Enten said Wednesday on “Anderson Cooper 360” that the presidency of Joe Biden is being eaten alive by record inflation.
Enten said, “Back in July of 2021, a year ago, no one was saying inflation was a concern outside of Larry Summers. Then it started picking up in December of 2021. Now, it is a clear number one issue, and we see this clear correlation as more people are concerned about inflation, Joe Biden’s disapproval rating climbs ever higher.” Cooper said, “Larry Summers did get it right.” Enten said, “He did.”
He added, “Yeah, so we can look at both Joe Biden’s disapproval rating on inflation

Just remember, as bad as today’s consumer-price index read on inflation is, it could have been worse. One man has stood in the way of Joe Biden’s ambitions to flood the economy with trillions in off-budget government spending even after Biden’s $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan touched off the worst inflationary wave in 40-plus years. The $5 trillion Build Back Better plan would have acted like a nuclear explosion for inflation.
We all know who kept us from the brink of disaster. Here’s a reminder from last month: For almost a year now, Chuck Schumer has tried to cut a deal with Joe Manchin to get something passed under reconciliation.

Police arrested a man, who is believed to be an illegal immigrant, on Tuesday after he allegedly raped and impregnated a ten-year-old girl who reportedly traveled from Ohio to Indiana for an abortion, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
The outlet reported that 27-year-old Gershon Fuentes confessed to raping the ten-year-old child on at least two occasions.
The child became the subject of national media attention after the Indianapolis Star reported earlier this month that an Indianapolis-based obstetrician-gynecologist named Caitlin Bernard was asked by a child-abuse doctor in Ohio to help the young girl get an abortion

President Joe Biden admitted Tuesday he gets confused every time he hears the presidential anthem “Hail to the Chief.”
“Every time I hear ‘Hail to the Chief,’ I wonder, where the hell is he?” Biden said as he began speaking to members of Congress at the annual White House Congressional Picnic. Biden continued by clarifying he was not joking.
“You think I’m joking, I’m not,” he continued with a chuckle. “[I] turn around and say, ‘Where is the President?'” Biden continued his remarks, sounding a nostalgic note by recounting how he used to sit in the Senate dining room with his colleagues.

Pro-abortion fanatic Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has called to shut down crisis pregnancy centers “all around the country” for their work in helping women seek alternatives to abortion.
Speaking with reporters, a visibly upset Warren falsely accused crisis pregnancy centers of fooling women out of getting an abortion: In Massachusetts, right now, those ‘crisis pregnancy centers’ that are there to fool people who are looking for pregnancy termination help outnumber true abortion clinics by 3-t0-1. We need to shut them down here in Massachusetts and we need to shut them down all around the country.
