Starting with the organic rise of the Tea Party in 2008, a slate of enthusiastic patriots announced their candidacy for public office. The goal was to stop President Barack Obama’s leftward tilt while also changing the elitist GOP agenda, which too often seemed “uni-party.”
Fast forward to Donald Trump’s historic 2016 White House win. “America First” MAGA candidates threw their hats into various campaign rings—city councils, state legislatures, and Congress. Yet, no matter how hard many Tea Party and MAGA candidates worked, most could not compete with GOP coffers that easily paid for radio spots, television ads, colorful billboards, and glossy flyers that promoted the same Establishment candidates

On Wednesday, the former owner of the infamous Studio 54 nightclub in Manhattan died by assisted suicide in Switzerland.
Mark Fleischman bought and reopened the now defunct club in 1981 after the previous owners were jailed on tax evasion charges. The club was a haven of sex, drugs, and chaos, where stars like Andy Warhol, Liza Minnelli, and Diana Ross once partied.(Tweet) The 82-year-old Fleischman fell ill with an undiagnosed condition that destroyed his quality of life in 2016.

Jeffrey Rosen had a secret on January 6, 2021.
The then-acting attorney general—Rosen was appointed on December 24, 2020 to replace departing Attorney General William Barr—had assembled a team of elite and highly skilled government agents at Quantico, a nexus point between the FBI and U.S. military, the weekend before Congress met to certify the results of the 2020 presidential election. At the same time he was rejecting President Donald Trump’s last-minute appeals to investigate election fraud, Rosen was managing a hush-hush operation in advance of planned rallies and protests in Washington on January 6.
“Rosen made a unilateral decision to take the preparatory steps to deploy Justice Department

Secret Service agents deleted text messages exchanged around the time of the Capitol riot, according to a government watchdog that sought the communications as part of their investigation into the Jan. 6 insurrection.
The Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General said messages sent between Jan. 5 and 6 were deleted “as part of a device-replacement program,” according to a letter to lawmakers, dated Wednesday, obtained by the Associated Press.
The messages were erased after OIG requested electronic communications between the agents during its probe into the Capitol siege.

A new report from the Committee to Unleash Prosperity claims that most of President Biden's top officials have no business experience at all.
Economists Stephen Moore and Jon Decker analyzed the work records and resumes of 68 officials, including Biden himself and his Cabinet members, advisers and regulatory officials.
Moore has been a frequent commentator on tax issues and advised Trump on his tax plan, along with former GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain. Along with Larry Kudlow, he helped pen the Trump 2017 tax cuts.

The U.S. Congress continues to hold hearings on the Capitol riots that flared up on January 6, 2021. But it continues to turn a blind eye to the extreme negligence of Democratic officials, whose poor security decisions laid the groundwork for the Capitol building siege.
On Thursday, House Democrats adopted an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act that would give the Washington D.C. mayor the authority to call up the D.C. National Guard.
“The House adopted an amendment to the annual defense spending bill on Wednesday that would give the mayor of Washington, D.C. authority over the capital city’s national guard,” the Hill reported.

As we previously reported, Republican Latinas who are either running for office or who are already there have been under attack in recent weeks by terrified leftists and their media allies, both of who are proclaiming these women are out of the mainstream of Hispanic thinking or something simply because they don’t all think the same way socialist Democrat Latinas like Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) do.
For example, just last week, the New York Times hit out at newly elected Rep. Mayra Flores (R-Texas) as well as Republican House nominees Monica De La Cruz and Cassy Garcia (both also from Texas), calling them members of the “far-right,”

Former President Donald Trump says he has made a decision about running for President in 2024; the announcement of the decision will be at a later date.
Trump told New York magazine that the “big decision” is whether to announce before or after November’s midterm elections.
“Well, in my own mind, I’ve already made that decision, so nothing factors in anymore. In my own mind, I’ve already made that decision … Do I go before or after? That will be my big decision.”
Trump added that most of the people vying for a 2024 run have no chance in the primary, according to the polls.

Recently, CNN’s New Day has been on a streak of providing fairly objective reporting. Alas, it was a streak that Don Lemon decided to end this Thursday morning, ambling over from his nightly slots for what seemed to be a monthly Festivus tradition of his: complaining that the media isn’t doing enough to attack Republicans. Essentially openly opposing new CNN boss Chris Licht’s reported desire to bring CNN back to journalism and away from Lemon’s brand of partisanship.
The reason Lemon graced the TV screens at such an early hour was apparently due to an interview on Wednesday evening, where former Proud Boys spokesperson Jason van Tatenhove expressed

It was a news story that burst onto the national headlines shortly after the Supreme Court issued its decision that Roe v. Wade was unconstitutional and abortion is an issue to be handled by the states.
The details were disturbing: A 10-year-old girl in Indiana was allegedly raped and impregnated, and thus, was referred to Ohio for an abortion to terminate the pregnancy.
The mother now says that “everything is a lie” about the headline-grabbing story. She was interviewed behind a door by Telemundo following the father’s confession for the crime. MRC Latino shared the footage.

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) raised more than $3 million in the second quarter, bringing her total haul for the 2022 cycle to $15 million-plus.
Stefanik took over as House Republican Conference chairwoman in the spring of last year, replacing Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), now vice chairwoman of the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot. But even before Stefanik was elevated, the now-third-ranking House Republican was making a name for herself among grassroots Republicans across the country, raising decent money for herself and her colleagues in the process.

'Many' US Secret Service text messages written between January 5 and January 6 last year have been deleted, the Homeland Security Inspector General said in a stunning letter on Thursday.
The messages were allegedly erased after the inspector general's office asked the law enforcement office for electronic communications as part of its probe into the US Capitol attack.
The letter, first obtained by CNN, is addressed to the top members of the House and Senate Homeland Security Committees.
The House panel told DailyMail.com it would be opening an investigation into the matter.
