On June 28, Illinois held its gubernatorial primary election, which featured several Republican candidates, including Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin, State Senator Darren Bailey, and political outsider Jesse Sullivan.
Irvin, a popular local official who happens to be black, had been the favorite among the GOP candidates. But a funny thing happened in the months leading up to the vote. When the ballots were tallied, Irvin ended up in third place, well behind Bailey and the upstart Sullivan.

Joey Chestnut acknowledged Tuesday he doesn’t “feel too great” a day after hoovering up 63 hot dogs while cruising to victory in the annual Nathan’s Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest — but downplayed the post-binge bloat, saying it’s similar to the routine soreness other athletes experience. “I probably smell like meat,” the 38-year-old quipped to the hosts of NBC’s “Today.” “I don’t feel too great, but it’s like anything, a marathon runner doesn’t feel too great after a marathon,” added the perennial champion of chomp. “It will take me a day and a half to recover.”

An American undersea explorer discovered the world's deepest shipwreck ever identified, four miles below the surface of the Pacific Ocean, CNN reports. On Wednesday, Victor Vescovo, the founder of exploration company Caladan Oceanic, used a deep-diving submersible to locate and identify the USS Destroyer Escort Samuel B. Roberts (DE-413), known as the "Sammy B," at a depth of 6,895 meters (22,621 feet) in the Philippine Sea.
Sammy B sank in the Battle Off Samar on October 25, 1944, when it was outnumbered and outgunned by Japanese battleships.

Despite President Biden saying he opposes the “defund the police” movement, at least four of its proponents have met with top administration officials at the White House since he took office, according to a new report. Fox News, citing a review of visitor logs, reported Monday that Rashad Robinson, the president of left-wing group Color of Change, visited the executive mansion in the summer of 2021. The outlet added that Robinson appeared to have met with Cedric Richmond, who at the time was Biden’s director of public engagement.

Last Tuesday, RedState reported on two desperate filings put forth by Hillary for America and Fusion GPS. They attempted to assert attorney-client privilege over materials that John Durham’s prosecution of Michael Sussmann is seeking to get its hands on.
That left the obvious question open, though. How could Sussmann both simultaneously assert that he was acting on his own accord and not being paid by the Hillary campaign while at the same time having Hillary for America and Fusion GPS assert attorney-client privilege over their communications?

Seattle’s crime surge spreads statewide thanks to Democrats’ progressive policies.
Thanks to a Democratic legislature that codified the radical defund police proposals into laws, plus light-on-crime judges, the crime surge hitting Seattle is spreading across the state. And there is no sign that the crime explosion will slow; in fact, it’s getting worse. Seattle has averaged more than one homicide a week so far this year. Gun violence has nearly doubled, with 95% more shots fired and a 171% increase in gunshot victims compared to last year. Drug dealing is rampant, homeless shoplifters are destroying local businesses, and random, brutal assaults are all too common.

President Biden received hundreds of thousands of “excess” votes in Democratic-controlled areas in the 2020 election, according to an academic study on voter fraud that suggests the push to relax voting standards created new opportunities for electoral mischief. John R. Lott Jr., the man behind the research, teased out those numbers by comparing Democratic-dominant areas to Republican-dominant places over the past two presidential elections, particularly in places where claims of election fraud were reported in 2020.

Three Milwaukee, Wisconsin, officials face accusations of illegally taking "Zuck Bucks" to facilitate voting by purchasing absentee ballot drop boxes, among other things, according to a lawsuit filed by the Thomas More Society. The complaint, filed last week against Milwaukee Acting Mayor Cavalier Johnson, former Mayor Tom Barrett, and City Clerk Jim Owczarski, claims the officials violated Wisconsin's election bribery law by taking private donations from the non-profit Center for Tech and Civic Life, which is funded by billionaire Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan.

An Oklahoma Democrat who came under intense criticism for allegedly verbally attacking several pre-teen girls while at the home of a friend who was hosting a sleepover for the middle schoolers has ended her campaign. Abby Broyles, a candidate for Oklahoma’s 5th Congressional District, went to a friend’s house on Feb. 11 and became increasingly aggressive as she continued to drink through the night, according to NonDoc.com, which first reported the story.

The Hamptons is full of left wing elitists from the Broadway & TV industry of NYC. They have supported every left wing loony that help destroy NY State. Now their chickens have come home to roost in the form of stupid, delusional people that really believe that we are all going to die because of global warming. I wonder if these protests are enough for NY to go at least purple this November. If LI turns red NY may get a R governor this November.
