Vice President Kamala Harris was caught with another course of word salad, this time during an interview with CBS News.
Following the historic Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, CBS News correspondent Robert Costa asked Harris on Friday whether Democrats both in the White House and in Congress "failed" to codify the federal protection of abortions in the nearly 50 years since the precedent was established.
"I think that, to be very honest with you, I do believe that we should have rightly believed, but we certainly believe that certain issues are just settled. Certain issues are just settled," Harris responded.

Former President Donald Trump offered his prayers to former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and his family after he was shot while giving a speech in Japan.
Trump's statement was posted on his Truth Social platform on Friday. The relationship between the two world leaders emerged as one of the strongest bilateral friendships that Trump made during his presidency.
"Absolutely devastating news that former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan, a truly great man and leader, has been shot, and is in very serious condition. He was a true friend of mine and, much more importantly, America.

The number of flight cancellations over the last six months has already surpassed last year’s totals, positioning 2022 to become one of the worst years on record.
Thousands of flights were canceled in the days leading up to the Fourth of July holiday weekend, with airlines reporting 121,918 cancellations between Jan. 1 and the end of June — compared to 121,552 for all of 2021, according to data from FlightAware. A large portion of those was canceled over the last month, with more flights being canceled in June 2022 than any June in previous years.

It’s a fairly common phenomenon, though we normally see it with adolescents and teenagers. They bite the hand that feeds them, then come back with their tails between their legs pleading for help.
The 14-year-old lashes out at Dad for making him cut the lawn, then asks him for $200 for a new pair of Adidas shoes that same afternoon. The newly licensed driver says, “Yeah, yeah, yeah” on her way out the door with the car keys as Mom reminds her to drive safely, and then calls home in tears two hours later after she gets into a fender-bender. And the 19-year-old college freshman gets punched at a rally

Police in Akron, Ohio, unleashed a wave of tear gas on protesters who gathered outside of the city's main courthouse on Sunday night.
Several hundred protesters marched in the city in the hours after the Akron Police Department released the bodycam footage showing the shooting death of 25-year-old Jayland Walker.
Walker was killed after being shot at least 60 times by Akron cops following a traffic stop on June 27.

The plight of female basketball star Brittney Griner relating to her arrest on drug charges in Russia earlier this year is even more uncertain than ever. Yesterday in a court near Moscow, the legal prosecution of Ms. Griner finally began, with her trial kicking off in an abbreviated session. Prosecutors had intended to call on four witnesses, but only two showed up to give testimony.
Cameras were not allowed in the courtroom, but footage of Griner entering the proceedings showed her sporting a white and black Jimi Hendrix t-shirt. Media reports after the court had adjourned explained that during her time in the courtroom,

Amber Heard is facing yet another potential legal battle - this time in Australia - just weeks after losing her high-profile defamation trial against her ex-husband Johnny Depp.
The 36-year-old actress is the subject of an 'ongoing' perjury investigation related to court proceedings stemming from her infamous visit to Queensland with Depp in 2015, when she broke Australia's strict quarantine and biosecurity laws by failing to declare the former couple's Yorkshire terriers, Pistol and Boo, when she flew into the country.
Heard was charged with two counts of illegally importing the animals in July 2015,

The prospect of an imminent “Red Wave” coming in November’s midterm elections has been widely reported, as the Democrats have been in self-destruct mode since before President Joe Biden was even sworn into office eighteen months ago.
Among other unforced errors, Biden and the Democrats have destroyed our economy, irrevocably damaged our national security by opening our borders, and have thoroughly deprived millions of Americans of their basic rights in an alleged attempt to protect us in an unwinnable battle against a Chinese virus. One need not look any further than the devastating surge we’re currently seeing in gasoline prices for evidence of the Democrats’ complete implosion,

Fears have been raised about the future of artificial intelligence after a robot was found to have learned 'toxic stereotypes' from the internet.
The machine showed significant gender and racial biases, including gravitating toward men over women and white people over people of colour during tests by scientists.
It also jumped to conclusions about peoples' jobs after a glance at their face.
'The robot has learned toxic stereotypes through these flawed neural network models,' said author Andrew Hundt, a postdoctoral fellow at Georgia Tech who co-conducted the work as a PhD student working in Johns Hopkins' Computational Interaction and Robotics Laboratory in Baltimore, Maryland.

There are various ways in which political parties raise campaign funds. One of the primary sources currently is via online efforts. But every party still conducts the old-fashioned fundraisers, with one-on-one, face-to-face contact. They have highfalutin dinners where everyone gets dressed up in their fanciest duds and listens to politicians talk about how great they are and how much they need their money. The organizers charge thousands of dollars per person for admission to an event that only costs a couple of hundred, the political party pockets the difference, and voila – positive cash flow into the politicians coffers.

The federal gun safety proposal announced last week by a bipartisan group of senators in response to the attack on Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, is "a step in the right direction," according to several authorities -- but the measures, had they already been in place, might not have prevented the Uvalde shooting, mental health and violence experts told ABC News.
The proposal does not raise the age limit to purchase semiautomatic assault-style weapons -- but for buyers under 21 years of age, it "requires an investigative period to review juvenile and mental health records

The fact that we must discuss this topic on Fathers’ Day is unfortunate, but indicative of life in modern America. Democrats, particularly those who are Pro-Abortion, are constantly required to perform an incoherent tap dance in their attempt to legitimize their argument in defiance of both science and faith. It’s an impossible feat to accomplish, but they try it anyway, and some are better at it than others. Vice-President Kamala Harris may be the worst of all at performing the ritual, as we saw once again on Friday.
To disregard the scientific facts illustrating
