Trump proven unfit for power again

Original Article

Posted By: Solid_Oak, 6/29/2022 10:53:07 AM

Former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson’s Tuesday testimony ought to ring the death knell for former President Donald Trump’s political career. Trump is unfit to be anywhere near power ever again. Hutchinson’s resume alone should establish her credibility. The 25-year-old had already worked at the highest levels of conservative Republican politics, including in the offices of Sen. Ted Cruz (TX) and House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (LA), before becoming a top aide for former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows.

Comments:

The Washington Examiner is a conservative publication. I'm surprised that they would take such a strong stand based on Jan 6 Committee testimony that had no cross examination.

Guess their news cycle is behind the times as two SS agents are willing to testify under oath Cassidy is a liar. Or they hope not everyone has heard about that.

Cassidy's 'testimony' was rose fertilizer. The President was supposed to be able to lunge thru a bullet-proof security barrier? And, BTW, what's the choice? Biden or Trump? Trump, of course, wins. Hell, I voted for Bush when the alternatives were Gore (the sex crazed poodle) or (ketchup) Kerry.

This is all part of an ongoing (and not very successful) attempt to ‘memory hole’ the overwhelming and irrefutable evidence that the 2020 election was stolen and Donald Trump and all engaged Americans were (and are still) really wizzed off about it as they should be. . . . and shame on the Examiner for being part of the attempted cover up.

It doesn’t take a lot of thought to think her testimony is unbelievably false. Unless you live in New York, you know The President gets into the Beast, and there is a partition between him and the agents in front. (No first hand knowledge: but I assume the partition is bullet-proof and protocol demands that it be closed —most especially in a potentially volatile situation.) And the idea that PDJT would hurtle across and grab the wheel (if that were even an option) is laughable in its entirety. The WE has moved to the Do Not Read list.

They jumped out of a crashing airplane with no parachute. Make up an outrageous story, swear under oath it's truth, and know that 33% of the imbeciles listening to it will believe it. You can lie on a witness stand but you can't lie to God. Lying is a sin so just know the wages of sin is death. I'll find the Washington Examiner Editorial Staff credible when they start writing editorials on the unfit for power status of Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris, Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell, and every Democrat up there for their incompetence, dereliction of duty such as with border security, corruption with insider trading and deals with the communist Chinese, blatant and incessant dishonesty, promotion of violent riots and the like. The Examiner Never Trumpers are so desperate to attack Trump they will jump on ANYTHING, no matter how absurd. They are left with handfuls of manure. They stink. The J6 farce keeps getting worse. They are getting NO traction with the public. They have NO evidence, only whining "testimony". Every time they claim that they have important news, they do a face plant. Trump unfit for power? What about the great pretender Joe Biden? He doesn't even know where he is and is supposedly the current President. At least Trump took a cognitive test when the media talked about his state of mind, which Biden refuses to do. I am just salivating at the thought of the public opinion poll that asks "Do you believe President Biden should take a cognitive test?" Yeah, right.. That's one you will never see for sure. So the Washington Examiner has chosen to jump into the raging dumpster fire that is the J6 clown show. Cassidy Hutchinson is turning out to be nothing but a fool fledged liar. I've ridden in limos and "The Beast" is of course a special kind so unless PDJT can shrink to the size of Ant Man and have the speed of Spider Man there's no way in Ted Kennedy's eternal home that he could've done what she said he did. This whole thing has become an even bigger farce that the Mueller Investigation where he didn't even know what was in his own report. The democrats are so desperate to prevent PDJT from sitting in the Oval Office again that they will try anything. I plan on doing my part starting in a few short months to make sure they regret it.

The Washington Examiner staff should be no where near a newspaper ever again, having violated every rule of their business. Instead of investigating, or verifying their story, they took as gospel the hearsay testimony of a witness that had been let go by Trump. That alone should raise some questions, but not for the Washington Examiner, who even has the credulity to believe Trump would take the wheel of the limousine, or shove a SS agent, for not taking him to the Capitol. Trump was President. If he wanted to go to the Capitol, he merely had to tell his driver to take him there.

An unsigned editorial represents the whole paper, and this silly bit of scribbling is an indelible stain on the lot of them. A glance at their précis [ www.washingtonexaminer.com/staff ] shows blemishes on the resumes of a number of them, but most have solid conservative cred. Managing Editor Chris Irvine, just for example: Chris Irvine is managing editor of the Washington Examiner. He began his career across the pond at the Daily Telegraph in London in 2007, working on both the home news and foreign desks. He subsequently moved to the Daily Mail Online, before shipping across the Atlantic with them, and most recently served as the senior news editor at Fox News's digital arm. He graduated from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland with a degree in international relations. On the other hand, Senior Editor David Mark sticks out: David Mark is a senior editor at the Washington Examiner. Previously, he served as a senior editor at Politico for six years and at CNN Digital Politics, among other roles. He is an author of two books, one on negative campaigning and one on political language co-authored with Chuck McCutcheon. David appears regularly as a political analyst on television. . . Who knows. It's a lazy, unprofessional piece, and should be signed. And should have been scrapped: That falls on Editor-in-Chief Hugo Gurdon.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Thursday announced a program to help U.S. veterans to become teachers in the Sunshine State, explaining that it is fitting to have those “who took an oath and put his or her life on the line to preserve, protect, and defend our flag and the freedom it represents” to teach the next generation. “We begin the new school year. Florida’s leading the way by bringing some of the best, the brightest, and the bravest among us into our classrooms through a new program that helps military veterans become teachers,” DeSantis announced.

Trump announcing 2024 bid before midterms

Donald Trump’s flirtation with announcing a 2024 White House bid before the midterm elections is sending signals of self-doubt and political vulnerability, with Republican operatives saying the former president is motivating challenges to his supremacy over the party. Trump would begin any presidential primary with overwhelming advantages in popularity, name identification, and resources. But pulling the trigger on a third White House campaign prior to Election Day this November, as Trump concedes is possible, might boomerang. Rather than box out potential 2024 opponents and clear the field, such a move by the former president could reek of fear, inviting more competition for the Republican nomination.

ATLANTA - Republican Herschel Walker’s $6.2 million in fundraising looked impressive when unveiled Wednesday, until Democrat Raphael Warnock rolled out his $17.2 million total a half-hour later. The dueling Senate campaign numbers underlined two truths. Georgia is again going to be one of the most expensive races to run for office in 2022, and Democrats are building a strong fundraising advantage. Like Warnock, Democrat Stacey Abrams heavily outraised incumbent Republican Brian Kemp in the race for governor, collecting almost $50 million compared to the $31 million Kemp has brought in over a longer period. Abrams and Warnock plan to run closely linked campaigns, echoing many of the same themes.

U.S. President Joe Biden has proposed blocking all new drilling in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans as the world cries out for more energy from more sources far from Russia, the Middle East, and the OPEC oil cartel. A plan released Friday shows the White House proposed no more than 10 potential lease sales in the Gulf of Mexico, an option for one potential lease sale in the northern portion of the Cook Inlet of Alaska, and no lease sales for the Atlantic or Pacific planning areas over the 2023-2028 period.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has closed the gap significantly between himself and Donald Trump in a hypothetical matchup in 2024, bringing him within single digits of the former president. Among registered Republican voters, about 45% said they would vote for Trump compared to 36% who leaned toward DeSantis, according to the most recent YouGov/Yahoo News poll, a 9-point difference and the closest any challenger has ever gotten to the former president in a GOP primary poll. The most recent numbers tighten previous polls that showed DeSantis trailing by 16 points in February and 23 points the month before that.

Trump vs. DeSantis, by the numbers 24 replies

Based on a casual reading of the polls, Donald Trump looks to have smooth sailing to the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 and the chance to erase the stink of losing to Joe Biden that he so covets. But if that’s the case, why does Trump seem so panicky these days? Simple: Trump is in trouble, and — when you dig into the numbers — his grip on the GOP nomination is getting more tenuous. It is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) who has all the momentum.

President Donald Trump recently issued his fourth official statement about me since our controversial interview two months ago. At the risk of further incurring his wrath, if anyone is drawing flies right now, it’s Donald Trump. If you were scripting a perfect Republican presidential candidate, the list of preferred requirements would read something like DeSantis’s resume.

FBI agents who raided Donald Trump's Florida resort on Monday were hunting for classified documents relating to nuclear weapons, sources said on Thursday evening. Details emerged soon after Attorney General Merrick Garland appeared before cameras to defend the search and reveal that he had approved the operation at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. Fall-out from the unprecedented search of a former president's residence has dominated the political world ever since Monday and the Justice Department is under increasing pressure to explain its decision. Garland said he could not reveal further details of what prompted the hunt, but sources told the Washington Post it was to do with nuclear weapons.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) said Thursday she is “ashamed” that Republicans are questioning the FBI’s credibility after it raided former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago. “I have been ashamed to hear members of my party attacking the integrity of the FBI agents involved with the recent Mar-a-Lago search,” she claimed. “These are sickening comments that put the lives of patriotic public servants at risk.” Cheney’s remarks follow multiple investigations into Trump, including the Russia hoax and two impeachment trials. Before that, the FBI looked the other way in 2016 regarding Hillary Clinton’s 33,000 acid-washed emails.

Former White House acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said Thursday on CNN’s “New Day” that someone very close to former President Donald Trump must have been the FBI informant. Keilar asked, “This is someone with knowledge inside who told the feds that there was additional material at Mar-a-Lago, directed them where it should be, clearly was concerned enough to tell them this information they should have besides the 15 boxes of material they got in the winter. Does that change your mind? Is that now sufficient when you have someone actually aligned with him drawing the attention of the feds to these documents?”

If Donald Trump was going to run again, we assumed that the media would once again be the former president's largest pool of support, unwittingly, of course, with the nonstop negative coverage that would have only pushed more voters into his corner. Matt Taibbi noted that they're the "kingmakers of suck," arrogant, and more concerned with expounding on their moral superiority than covering the elections properly. Post-Russian collusion hoax, no one believes them, as evidenced by the appalling trust numbers the American public has given this industry over the past five or so years. That all ended last night.

President Joe Biden has been holding a series of secret meetings with historians, policy experts and even former President Bill Clinton, a new report revealed Thursday, as he navigates a variety of problems facing the nation. Biden met with a group of scholars last week on August 4, the same day a fierce lightning storm raged across Washington D.C., where they told him it a perilous moment in modern day political history, the Washington Post reported. The historians compared Biden's moment in history to the 1860 election when Abraham Lincoln warned that a 'house divided against itself cannot stand'

The push to transition the national road fleet to electric vehicles (EVs) is on and while increasingly popular with buyers, experts in the transportation space are examining potential problems with mass EV adoption. One such issue involves EVs and evacuations during natural disasters. A report from Transportation Research published in ScienceDirect headlined “Can we evacuate from hurricanes with electric vehicles?” found that Florida—which often bears the force of hurricanes—may not have enough power to cope during an evacuation. “If the majority of the evacuating vehicles were EVs, Florida would face a serious challenge in power supply,” the report said.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) on Thursday released her closing ad of the GOP primary, again attacking former President Donald Trump, who won Wyoming with nearly 70 percent of the vote in 2020. Only mentioning her Wyoming opponents once and not by name, Cheney recited for two minutes and 21 seconds a diatribe focusing mostly on Trump instead of the needs of Wyoming voters. Nothing in her ad mentions priorities of Wyoming citizens such as deregulating the administrative state, fighting for federal land management reform, or securing the southern border.

When the FBI raided Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago, it didn’t just senselessly root through the former President’s files, crack open his safe, and snatch up boxes of documents to confiscate for whatever anti-Trump investigation they have going on. Though all that seems to have happened during the banana republic-like raid, the FBI did something else, something even more horrific: it rooted through Melania Trump’s clothes, rifling through her outfits and underwear in what can be interpreted as nothing other than a gross attempt at humiliating the former president and his family.

President Biden and his family, including disgraced first son Hunter, are spending their summer vacation at a $20 million beachfront mansion in South Carolina, The Post has learned—and they’re not paying a dime. The president recently asked prominent Democratic donor Maria Allwin—the widow of hedge fund founder James Allwin—if he could stay at her nine-bedroom Kiawah Island estate, a source close to the family told The Post. “They stayed here before and they’re not paying,” the source said. “They’ve never paid. They’re just friends.”(Snip)Maria Allwin has contributed to an array of mostly Democratic political campaigns, but her most recent donations are to Rep. Liz Cheney

It seems the DOJ has decided to leak an explanation of their decision to use a search warrant in this case. Newsweek just published an exclusive report based on anonymous DOJ sources which claims the FBI had a confidential source at Mar-a-Lago, one who informed them that Trump was hiding documents and even specified where they could be found. The raid on Mar-a-Lago was based largely on information from an FBI confidential human source, one who was able to identify what classified documents former President Trump was still hiding and even the location of those documents, two senior government officials told Newsweek. Before we go any further, remember

The irony has been remarkable from the moment the Brittney Griner Saga began in February. Griner, the multimillionaire professional women’s basketball player who became phenomenally wealthy in America, showed complete disdain for her homeland when she was living here. She refused to even enter sporting arenas until after our National Anthem was played. Griner, who is both black and lesbian, objected to the imaginary systemic racism that Democrats and their media fed her. She was vocal in her defiance and suggested that we shouldn’t even be playing the National Anthem before sporting events.
