The left’s reaction to the Supreme Court’s historic decision last week overturning Roe v. Wade has been uniformly appalling but not at all surprising: violence, calls for more violence, calls to pack the court, ignore its decisions, dissolve it. In other words, about what you’d expect from people who want to destroy every institution they don’t control.
On the right, the reaction has been rather more mixed, mainly because of the cowardice and intellectual dishonesty of the Never Trump faction, whose leading lights can’t bring themselves to give credit to former President Donald Trump for accomplishing what the Republican establishment could not.

Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, a prominent conservative activist who is also married to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, is demanding that the House Select Committee on Jan. 6 elaborate on its basis for soliciting testimony over privately petitioning her own government.
Hours after the Jan. 6 Committee wrapped up its sixth hearing on Tuesday, Ginni’s attorney, Mark Paoletta, sent a letter to the panel’s leadership requesting specifics on why the probe with an open animosity for the Thomas family seeks to publicly drag his client before lawmakers.
“Mrs. Thomas is eager to clear her name and is willing to appear before the Committee to do so,” Paoletta wrote

Years ago, while I was seriously dating a wonderful woman I had met at the church we both attended, I was having lunch with a friend who knew us both.
He asked me, “How’s it going?”
Attempting to be honest and transparent, I responded, “She’s great, but she does have some flaws.”
That was when my friend came back at me with the unexpected.
“Then you must dump her immediately. You owe it to yourself to move on and keep looking until you find that special someone who is perfect like yourself.”

“These deaths are on Biden. They are a result of his deadly open border policies.”
That’s what Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted Monday upon learning of a truck full of dead illegal immigrants being smuggled through San Antonio.
Was he right?
There’s certainly plenty of blame to go around. The smugglers bear the most direct responsibility for the tragedy. They fleece the migrants (derided as “chickens”), shoot competitors, rape little girls — truly the scum of the earth.
The corrupt and dysfunctional leadership of the countries these people are fleeing also bear responsibility,

The death of former Senate Sergeant-At-Arms one day before a ‘surprise’ January 6 commitee hearing drew immense interest from initial reports.
The news was first reported on Monday by Politico’s K. Tully-McManus, and was confirmed by Fox News’ Chad Pergram. Both reports on Tuesday lacked details.
“Fox confirms that Michael Stenger, the Senate Sergeant at Arms who was in charge of Senate security the day of the Capitol riot, has died,” Fox News’ Chad Pergram reported. (Tweet) The report has been confirmed also by Politico Congressional reporter K. Tully-McManus:

Voters in several states head to the polls on Tuesday in the final major primary election night before a few big elections upcoming in August, with Republicans hoping to keep momentum growing ahead of November and Democrats clamoring to hang on to the slivers of power they still have.
Several big states like New York, Illinois, and Colorado will select GOP and Democrat nominees in primaries on Tuesday, while other states like Utah and Oklahoma will do the same. Mississippi will hold a runoff election for the GOP primary for the district of Rep. Michael Guest (R-MS),

President Joe Biden has repeatedly denied he knew about his son Hunter’s numerous shady business dealings but a voicemail to his son — discovered by The Daily Mail — puts a lie to his 2019 claim: “I’ve never spoken to my son [Hunter] about his overseas business dealings!”
The voicemail is a veritable smoking gun but ABC, CBS and NBC have yet to report on the latest bombshell development.
On Monday, The Daily Mail revealed the voicemail in their June 27 article: EXCLUSIVE: ‘I think you’re clear’: VOICEMAIL from Joe Biden to Hunter about NY Times report on his Chinese business dealings proves he DID speak

Secret Services is reportedly prepared to push back against claims that President Trump tried to grab the steering wheel of his presidential vehicle and lunged at Secret Service when agents refused to take him to the Capitol.
Such allegations were made by Cassidy Hutchinson, a former assistant to Mark Meadows, who said she had heard the tale second hand.
Bobby Engel, the lead agent on Trump's detail, and the presidential driver at the time are prepared to testify under oath to the committee that Hutchinson's testimony is incorrect, according to multiple news outlets.
The Secret Service promised in a public statement after the hearing to respond to the allegations.

More than 100 NYPD detectives have retired in June — and another 75 plan to put their papers in next month — as many become frustrated by revolving door justice and rules that hamstring them in the Big Apple, officials and detectives told The Post.
“That’s going to have a major impact on investigating crimes,” Detectives Endowment Association President Paul DiGiacomo said. “The detective squads are down now as we speak and are investigating more cases. It’s going to have an impact on public safety.”
So far this year 250 detectives have retired, leaving the total number at about 5,600, which is nearly 2000 less than two decades ago.

Western civilization faces its deepest crisis since the resurrection of Jesus Christ according to former U.S. Attorney General William Barr told a Christian conference in Chicago, Illinois, last weekend.
“That’s because our whole civilization is based on the Judeo-Christian tradition, and that tradition is under sustained attack by increasingly militant secular forces,” Barr said. Among such forces, Barr said, were the many so-called “progressives.”
Barr, who recently served as the country’s top attorney in the Trump Administration, attended the 2022 Issues, Etc. “Making the Case” Conference at Concordia University Chicago as a keynote speaker with six other doctors and reverends.

Former President Donald Trump’s lead Secret Service agent is reportedly ready to testify that testimony given by a former White House staffer on Wednesday to the January 6 House select committee is false.
Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, claimed that Trump on the day of the January 6 rally tried to get Secret Service to take him to the U.S. Capitol building, and that he became enraged when they would not do it because the area was not secure.
Hutchinson claimed that Trump tried to grab the steering wheel of the armored presidential limousine and that Bobby Engel, who was the lead security detail,

CNN’s Jake Tapper pressed Democratic Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin on Tuesday about corroborating new allegations made by former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson against former President Donald Trump.
Hutchinson, a former aide to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, testified that Trump allegedly said he did not care that “Stop the Steal” rally protesters had weapons, including AR-15s and knives. Raskin, a member of the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, said the testimony is essential to their investigation given that the former president allegedly did not care about the potential harm that could be done.
