Dr. Anthony Fauci confirmed on Tuesday that he is suffering from 'Covid rebound' symptoms after being treated with Paxlovid. Paxlovid, a drug that was anointed as America's silver bullet against COVID-19 by some health officials and even President Joe Biden, may not have any effectiveness for people that are already vaccinated, according its manufacturer Pfizer's own data. Fauci, 81, broke the news while speaking remotely at the Foreign Policy Global Health Forum. Earlier this month, Fauci tested positive for the virus with mild symptoms including fatigue. As his symptoms got slightly worse, Fauci began a five day course of Paxlovid.(Snip)

“Gender-affirming care” for youth, a far-left euphemism for child mutilation, is “lifesaving” and a medical necessity, according to President Joe Biden’s Assistant Secretary of Health Rachel Levine, who is transgender. Levine faced backlash online for these comments.
Speaking at a DNC pride month event on Friday, Rachel Levine—formerly Richard Levine—pushed for gender transitions for young people. “Gender affirming care is lifesaving, medically necessary, age-appropriate, and a critical tool for health care providers,” Levine said.(Snip)A new report from the Heritage Foundation revealed that making puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones easier for minors to access has increased youth suicide rates, a finding that directly challenges

Dozens of international flights loaded with baby formula have already come into the United States, but formula stock rates are not improving. Experts say it will take at least another couple months for this to change, as both supply levels and consumers’ perspectives level out. Through Operation Fly Formula, the White House has committed to import enough formula to make the equivalent of about 40 million 8-ounce bottles. More than a quarter of that supply–enough to make 13 million bottles–has already been delivered as of June 19, according to a statement from the US Department of Human Services. Still, stock rates for formula continue to hit new lows

Sen. Ted Cruz's war on Sesame Street resumed Tuesday after the Texas Republican saw that the fictional muppet Elmo had been vaccinated against COVID-19. 'Thanks, @sesamestreet for saying parents are allowed to have questions! You then have @elmo aggressively advocate for vaccinating children UNDER 5,' Cruz tweeted. 'But you cite ZERO scientific evidence for this.' Elmo, who's been a Sesame Street character for decades, is only age 3. The Sesame Street Twitter account posted a video earlier Tuesday that encouraged parents to talk to their pediatricians if they had concerns about vaccinating young children, as those shots became available earlier this month.

Police in Columbus, Ohio, have a new vehicle in their law enforcement lineup—a shiny white SUV painted in Pride Month glory in glossy rainbow stripes and adorned with the movement’s signature phrase, “Love Is Love.” And all the criminals go: Yay. This is worse than “defund the police.” At least defunding means cops exit, stage left, with their dignity intact. But this—this police cruiser blasting out pro-Pride messages with unicorn and fairy-like, cupcake-frosting fancy—this is emasculating the police.(Snip)“Hi, I’m Officer Lutz with the Columbus Division of Police,” Officer Lutz says in a promotional video of his department’s LGBTQIA+ efforts, as The Blaze reported.

Two alleged drug traffickers have been released from a California jail just days after they were busted with 150,000 fentanyl pills, the disgruntled local sheriff said. Jose Zendejas, 25, and Benito Madrigal, 19, were arrested during a traffic stop in Tulare County last Friday when authorities allegedly discovered the 150,000 pills—worth an estimated $750,000—stashed inside their vehicle. The pair was immediately booked into the Tulare County Pre-Trial Facility on charges of possession, transportation and sales of illegal drugs.
But Zendejas and Madrigal were released from custody on their own recognizance just days later after a judge granted them a court order.

At its early developmental stages, the Los Angeles beach town of Malibu has always been reserved for the rich and famous. But in the last few years alone, even millionaires have now been shut out—and the community has become a staple for the ultra-rich only. Larry Ellison, the tech titan who has invested significantly in the town since nearly three decades ago, started the Malibu trend of sending area property value through the roof. Combined with a raging coronavirus pandemic, the uncrowded beaches and the relaxed surf-town vibe have sent Malibu home prices soaring—luring in the wealthiest of wealthiest.

A shooting in a Buckhead parking lot killed one man and sent two others—including music executive Chaka Zulu—to a hospital with injuries late Sunday night. Atlanta police investigated the triple shooting in the 2200 block of Peachtree Road into the early Monday morning hours. Several restaurants and shops share the parking lot, which is situated behind a row of businesses and off the busy street. Police Lt. Germain Dearlove told Channel 2 Action News the shooting was the “result of a dispute in the parking lot,” but he did not say if the three victims had visited any of the businesses before the gunfire rang out

CNN’s Daniel Dale knocked down on Monday false claims made by a Democratic super PAC about Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO). American Muckrakers PAC has accused the congresswoman of being a former escort, having a profile on a so-called sugar daddy website, having two abortions and being introduced to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) by an alleged escort client. Appearing on New Day, Dale said the super PAC’s co-founder David Wheeler “acknowledged to me that all five of these were indeed inaccurate, but that his group still stands by what he calls the main points of the allegations, all of which Boebert vehemently denies.”

Sailors on board a fleet of Navy warships sailing off the Southern California coast in July 2019 witnessed several of the ships being swarmed by a host of unidentified flying objects. The incident went on for hours, and then happened again and again throughout the month, with craft hovering and zipping around near the fleet with flashing multicolored lights. Navy chiefs have tried to explain away the incident, with the Deputy Director for Naval Intelligence saying he was 'reasonably confident' the objects were drones.(Snip)Last week the Navy also released briefing slides suggesting the craft were 'Quadcopter style UAS [unmanned aerial systems]' and likely came from a nearby Hong Kong
Comments:
Any variant of "shots rang out" or "gunfire erupted" is journalist politesse, indicating that several black people congregated, and the usual chemical reaction occurred. Here's one more reason why wealthy Buckhead wanted to separate itself from the failure that is Atlanta. And yet the bid was thwarted by Georgia Republican House Speaker David Ralston and Republican Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, cut no doubt from the same cloth as Governor Kelp.
