The Supreme Court of the United States voted to overturn Roe v. Wade Friday.
Celebrities reacted to the decision via social media with Alyssa Milano saying it will have "deadly consequences" and Elizabeth Banks calling it "devastating news."
"Today’s Supreme Court ruling overturning #RoeVsWade will have deadly consequences, with the harm falling hardest on people of color who already face disproportionate discrimination in our country and grapple with a severe maternal mortality crisis," Milano wrote.
"Banning abortion will disproportionately impact people of color, LGBTQ+ communities, people struggling to make ends meet, young people, and those living in rural areas."

Impact people of color? It's as if no one has any self restraint. The celebs may be unhappy, but the unborn are thrilled.

All I see is the expression, "my body, my choice" and it is sad. Realistically, it isn't their body - it is the body of another created human being that is suffering loss of life.

Gang violence disproportionally affects people of color but not a word from the msotlywhite whinny liberal women of Hollyweird. I guess black women will be dropping dead all over the place just like before 1973 Oh wait, they didn't drop dead. And there were more back families then as well. One wonders

All the abortion lovers should move to the west coast. Cal, Ore, and Wash want them there and they will be held in esteem. You can have several abortions a year, and they will be paid for.

Someone tell Alyssa that this decision does not ban abortions. It just gives the right back to the states to determine whether or not abortions will be allowed in each state. California will probably never ban abortions; nor will New York and others. So whoever started those fires and other disruptions in the city of Los Angeles last night did not understand what the decision said.

There they go again: Lying to the American women in order to get their votes. Thousands of people have died after taking the Covid shots yet our government mandated that we take them or get fired. Where are our rights to our bodies protestors?

Recent poles demonstrate that about 60% of the country thinks the striking down of Roe vs Wade means the end of abortion in this country, so am not surprised that these celebrities not only have not read the Court's ruling but do not understand it. Abortion is still legal in any number of states, and in fact companies such as Disney and Netflix plan to pay travel expenses for their employees who want abortions---something that saves maternity leave and insurance costs etc. in a more cynical view. The ONLY problem I have right now is Justice Thomas saying the Court should reexamine same sex marriage, etc..........unlike Roe "allowing" same sex marriage et al have a CONSTITUTIONAL basis which Roe had not, as even Justice Ginsberg , and she was pro abortion.. What on EARTH was Thomas thinking, saying something not only without Constitutional legs but at a time like this when the Country is a potential tinderbox.

Psssst, here’s a solution to your terror. Stop sleeping around and if you cannot do that, use birth control! Take some responsibility for your actions and stop destroying an innocent life when you mess up. This is not the end of the world. It’s time adults stated adulting and realize that actions have consequences. Be responsible. You make your choice when you decide to have sex. After that, the law of actions/consequences kick in. Let’s be real. Abortion is far too many times being used as birth control. That is an abomination. Sex is a willful act. Stop acting like it is something beyond your control. Stop your whining and threats too. Adults are sick and tired of dealing with your tantrums. Grow up.

Absolute illiterate morons. Human imbeciles no matter how well educated, well, actually the last 60 years has turned out millions of imbeciles who are being called highly educated but are basically illiterates.
"The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read or write, but those who cannot unlearn the many lies that they have been conditioned to believe, and not seek out the hidden knowledge that they have been conditioned to reject.”

Mx. Milano is the stupidest of all the stupids! How does a ruling that clarifies the utter lack of a "right to abortion" in the US Constitution affect homosexuals and trannies? Please, someone toss a net over this lunatic and drag her off to the looney bin where she can happily rant and rave in a locked room, dressed in the appropriate long-sleeved white restraining garment she so desperately requires.

agree totally with OP's comment. Some states will decide to not allow it at all, other states will allow it under some circumstances, and other states will let you murder the baby at any time. Go to the state of your choice! Thats Pro-choice. Aint it?

It's a very simple solution for the pampered Hollywood elites...visit a pharmacy before indulging...all means of "control" is available...and black mothers were the target by Margaret sanger's attempt... with the help of planned parenthood...to "control" the birth rate in the black community...85% of all abortion clinics are located in the black community...ask yourself ...WHY?

They're terrified because it may become harder to purchase aborted baby parts to drain dry of their youth giving glands etc.
I have a solution. Everyone in hollyweird that can needs to get pregnant. They need to encourage all abortion able females to get pregnant as well. They need to start pregnancy mills in the golden State. Get pregnant, get an abortion, go to the mill spread em and get pregnant again, over and over and over again. Sell or gift those baby body parts to those in need of a more youthful visage. It could become quite a cottage Industry!
Abortion is legal in California. Abort with abandon I say! You will never change their minds so let them have it. God will sort it out.
If not, the hollyweirdoz are going to start to look worse than they already do.

I have been on the sidelines about Roe verses Wade and didn't really understand the meaning of the law.
Since the Supreme Court have made their decision and the Liberals and Democrats and far left are against the ruling. it was not a human rights decision but a political and the Supreme Court ruling was the correct decision, cheers to the court for a change.

Sadly, even 4 or 5 commenters here seem to think that Dobbs outlawed abortion. I’d suggest they read maybe just the first few pages of Justice Alioto’s opinion — it’s quite measured and eloquent. And mega dittos to #9: I like Justice Thomas a lot, and the doctrine of substantive due process is thorny to say the least, but I wish he had just restrained himself for the moment. Justice Alito talked about how Roe was divisive; instead of ridding us of divisiveness, Justice Thomas, unfortunately and unnecessarily, sowed some additional seeds in his concurrence.

Okay, somebody tell me how the SCOTUS decision could possibly disproportionately discriminate against the LGBTQ community?
Seems a lot of gay couples (Buttgig comes to mind) may want to have more children to adopt. Are lesbians wrongly impregnating each other? I don't think so.
How does this work?
Seems the LGBTQ community is the least affected by SCOTUS transferring decisions on abortion to the individual states so their voters can decide..

These freakin hypocrites make it sound like the supreme court just banned contraceptives and condoms. When you look at the number of abortions performed each year you realize it's totally out of control. Does anybody have any responsibility or accountability for their actions. I mean these people can't even buy a 50 cent condom. The only people hurt by this ruling are the planned parenthood chop shops.

We have to understand that these Hollywood virgin ho's have had so many abortions that the friendly neighborhood abortionist will have to move to another 'hood. The cost of restoring their virginity after each abortion must be running into money, especially when they have not made a movie since Jimmy Catah was president. All of these inconveniences for these great acting talents (Not) is just too much to be borne. If only this trash had managed some reading skills in grammar school they might find out that they can still continue killing babies (a name for a small just born human) and feel that they have really accomplished something: an abortion, a killing of a human!!
