When will they ever learn? Apparently not any time soon.
Once again, progressive Democrats have lured weak-kneed Senate Republicans – apparently eager for ‘approval’ from people and organizations who will, in truth, never give it to them – to cross over to the dark side in a gun control bill.
These ten sell-outs – nearly half of whom having already announced they’re not running for re-election in 2022 – have signed on with Senate Democrats, to pull together what the Democrats love to misleadingly label as “commonsense gun laws,” as reported in the Washington Post.
These senators have been urged on by New York senator and Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and

Who around here after Uvalde offered all sorts of suggestions as to new laws or programs (like 100,000 new school cops) to prevent a future attack? It may not have been gun control specific, but it all falls into the "We have to do something" mindset. And that is where these ten senators went. It's called practical politics. Had the Republicans "done nothing" it would have been (and will be) a cudgel used into November. Notice, most of these had no risk, either not running in '22 or retiring. It's the other guys stopping the government from "doing something." And the UNIPARTY collects from both sides of the issue, frustrated that the other side is either grabbing guns or supporting mass murder.

Hunter claims that Traitor Joe has 5 guns in his house. Wonder what Joe has done with them. Is he willing to give them up if this stupid bill passes? Hmmmmmmm?

This is why I couldn't find any actual language for this "bill"....because there is NO BILL, just some BS words called a "framework"....which means literally NOTHING.
When we see the actual words in their bill we'll have some idea how much these corruptocrat Dems-pretending-to-be-Republicans are selling us down the river.
I'm hoping that they can't get this passed in the Senate, but that may be a vain hope. We WILL remember for those Senators who won't be up for election this time out, we'll get your slimy butts when you do come up for a vote next. We have long memories, especially on gun rights issues.

This is no longer "politics." The Orwellian Globalists are behind all the destructive mayhem befalling Marxist America since 2020, including Soros who funded the Uvalde killer. Prove otherwise, Georgie.

Well, Those who are going to have to run for re-election at some point, will have to face those Voters that they spit on! Even Miss Lindsey will be in peril! You get on the wrong side of the gun owners, and the NRA, and you are going to find out you were on the WRONG side when you voted for this Bill. We will remember, trust me!!

If the term "common sense" ever had meaning, it no longer does. No matter who says it, the implication is that if you disagree, you're an idiot. When I hear it I immediately disagree as a matter of principle.

The red flag part is the worse. Going by the angle of mentally stable to gun ownership the left with crooked judges will determine your state of mind. Doing this will take out all former military by saying PTSD is a denier for you to own a firearm. Then there are vindictive ex-wives, girlfriends or anyone who dislikes you can say you own guns and they fear you then gun confiscation follows then you have legal fees to fight this if you can win at all. This framework is dangerous talk that republicans should never embrace. Never sit with the enemy at the campfire these loser republicans are suckers, too stupid to say no or fear being told they support murder of children.
Uvalde was the biggest law enforcement mistake ever made. First order is take down all gun free zone signs around schools or other establishments that post them. That's like a happy hunting sign to a murderer.

There is a simple reality here. It is IMPOSSIBLE to have a good bipartisan bill, of any kind, crafted with the current crop of Leftist dems. This has been true for a couple decades and has only gotten worse as the dems have found out what they can get away with.
In addition, a disappointing portion of Republicans fall for this type of bait and switch over and over. They lack the confidence in Conservative ideas and many are looking only to their reelection and think pandering is the path forward for them. Often they get bounced out in the next election.
There is no excuse for Mr. Turtle. He did amazing work with the judiciary appointments but he is out to lunch on so many other issues.

I just read sn article on Axios that said conservative Repub Senators are revolting against Cronyn and turtle. This could really turn out good if we retake the Senate. Fire the turtle and make Cronyn powerless. Temp loss great gain. Cronin and the turtle, sounds like a port movie.
