The already exorbitant prices American consumers are spending on groceries is expected to increase even more as company executives continue to pass on the high costs of fuel, labor and ingredients onto shoppers.Executives at companies like Kraft Heinz, Tyson Foods and even eateries like McDonalds have announced they will continue to raise prices, as they face these higher costs, according to the Wall Street Journal. Kraft, for example, notified retailers on Monday that it would raise prices in August on items ranging from Miracle Whip and Classico pasta sauce to Maxwell House coffee products and some deli meats.

My and my wife's favorite take out dish Sushi Sashimi Combo used to cost $22.95. Now costs $32.95. What percent is that? Can Mr. Biden do the math for me?

Time to pull out my mom's "100 Ways to Cook Hamburger" from the 70's and make some adaptations. I've got my air fryer and Instant Pot pressure cooker. We already buy beef, pork, chicken, eggs and cheese from a local farm here and another in Wisconsin. Hopefully, the local farms will have vegetables and tomatoes. I learned to can tomatoes from my mother-in-law and I think my daughters and I will give it a go again.
We were married during Carter so I've had a taste of what inflation means but my kids, and all people under 40 won't know what hit them. A lifetime of prosperity and doing and buying what they want when they want to is going to end and it's going to be bad. I only hope that they realize what caused it all and shut down the "Green New Deal" "Great Reset" morons for good.

This is driven by Green New Deal policies. many of which are intentionally not apparent. These people have no intention of it slowing down. It will not be surprising that as of this fall the average price of one gallon of regular grade gasoline will cost $6.00.

Of Course that is what companies do. They pass on expenses to customers.
Try telling that to the liberal dummies who want to tax corporations.
If you tax corporations you are taxing their customers.

Well, of course. All the huge cost increases for diesel fuel, natural gas, propane and gasoline cause big increases in transportation costs, storage costs, and farmer planting and harvesting costs. Energy is 'baked into' literally everything, often literally, many times figuratively.
The Dems have pushed over the first domino and we aren't even one row down .....lots and lots more dominos going to fall.

We survived on Ramen Noodles and 'canned meat products' during the Carter years. I guess we can do it again for old times' sake.

Of little concern to most here, but I've been watching the skyrocketing cost of hay. Orchard grass (trucked here to SoCal from northern Oregon) has climbed from ~$23/bale to over $38. The driver said he was paying up to $8/gal for diesel on his way down. Aizona teff: ~$15/bale a year ago to $28+ these days and the trend is only going to continue. At this rate, the cost of beef will rise even more but worse - a lot of folks are going to be abandoning their horses, opening the door for the killers from Mexico to move in. Sickening.

I don't purchase any of those three and many more in the grocery store where we shop. There are aisles I never walk down in the store. Vegetables, bread, fresh meat, mostly pork (no beef), eggs, butter and booze. My only vice is potato chips they are now $5. a bag so I canned that one in any brand name. We now live like Fred and Wilma Flintstone no extravagant spending with us. FJB the mush brain fraudulent vegetable.
