White-hot inflation has forced the average American household to cough up an extra $460 per month, as surging prices for food and fuel put family budgets across the nation under strain. Moody’s Analytics senior economist Ryan Sweet calculated the figure based on data released Friday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics that showed the Consumer Price Index had jumped 8.6% in the 12-month period ending May 31–the largest increase since December 1981.(Snip)Americans in the market for a car or truck were out of luck in May, as the BLS found that the price of a new car had increased by 12.6% over 12 months ago.

President Joe Biden said Exxon made 'more money than God last year' as he attacked oil companies for not 'drilling' or paying taxes while gas prices are breaking records in a speech Thursday where he continued to blame 'Putin's price hike' on 41-year high inflation.(Snip)'Today's inflation report confirms what Americans already know—Putin's price hike is hitting America hard,' he said and conceded that prices need to come down further. The president blamed price gouging and Putin's 'tax on gas and food' for the spike and insisted it was still his administration's top priority to tackle inflation. He also attacked Republican Senator Rick Scott for his economic plan

Mexican drug cartels are taking advantage of the chaotic influx of migrants at the US southern border to smuggle thousands of pounds of deadly fentanyl into the country, experts say. “Border patrol agents are too busy dealing with the influx of migrants, and are not really focused on looking for fentanyl,” Robert Almonte, a Texas-based security consultant and former deputy chief of the El Paso Police Department, told The Post. “Border agents are not getting the support they need from the federal government to stop the flow of fentanyl, which is killing thousands of Americans.”(Snip)Fentanyl is largely being produced by the Sinaloa Cartel,

America's largest newspaper chain Gannett has instructed its newsrooms to scale back opinion pieces which are 'repelling readers' who do not want to be told what to do. The newspaper chain owns the USA Today network which takes in hundreds of local newspapers in almost every state across the country. At a recent editors committee meeting in April, editors said in a presentation: 'Readers don’t want us to tell them what to think. 'They don’t believe we have the expertise to tell anyone what to think on most issues. 'They perceive us as having a biased agenda,' according to The Washington Post.(Snip)'Today’s contemporary audiences frequently are unable to distinguish

Broadway is living up to its old nickname of the Great White Way in more ways than one. Despite an historic diverse class of Tony nominees this season, Black entertainers and advocates say Broadway is still far too white when it comes to who’s making the key decisions—and who’s sitting in the audience.(Snip)“There were plenty of Black and brown bodies on stages, but not in position to actually write checks, not in positions to say this is what’s going to be produced and not in positions to put their creative work to use featuring other Black and brown bodies,” Black Theatre Coalition co-founder T. David Hogg posted a viral tweet Thursday morning claiming that Sen. Marco Rubio, Florida Republican, was afraid to meet him and would be “triggered” by the college student’s presence. That was untrue.
According to exchanges on social media compiled at the Daily Wire and elsewhere, Mr. Hogg not only had been set to meet with Mr. Rubio on Thursday afternoon, but even had press coverage scheduled. “You must be confused as we had a 2p meeting scheduled with you. However, since you are lying and clearly using this all for self-promotion, that meeting is now cancelled,” Michael Needham, Mr. Rubio’s chief of staff, told Mr. Hogg on Twitter.

President Joe Biden has scrapped Donald Trump's red, white and dark blue color scheme for the new Air Force One planes, citing the additional costs it would require. 'The Trump paint scheme is not being considered because it could drive additional engineering, time and cost,' an administration official told Politico. That means the Biden administration is keeping the light blue and white scheme that goes back to the Kennedy era. The new Boeing 747-8s, which are being modified into flying White Houses, aren’t expected to fly until 2026. The Air Force revealed earlier this week there's a design flaw in Trump's color plan

Wall Street veered sharply into the red on Friday following a new inflation reading that was worse that economists had expected, fanning worries about more aggressive steps by the Federal Reserve to tame rising prices. At 10am, the Dow was down 751 points, or 2.33 percent. The S&P 500 lost 2.56 percent and the Nasdaq composite was down 2.99 percent. The Labor Department's report on Friday showed that the consumer price index jumped 8.6 percent in May from a year ago, the fastest increase since December 1981 and much hotter than expected, a sign that inflation has not yet peaked. The new figures suggested that the Federal Reserve could continue

He likes pushing White professional women down staircases and stabbing them is all. The state is dragging its feet in giving him the treatment he so richly deserves and his taxpayer-funded defense attorneys say he should be set free to attack more women, and so the wise female judge who looks like a man is threatening to hand him a pile of cash. And as always, the taxpayers are on the hook for every bit of it. Meanwhile, in China this guy would be administered a high-speed injection of lead, and his family billed for the cost.
