San Francisco residents on Tuesday will vote to either keep or recall District Attorney Chesa Boudin, whose progressive policies have shocked even his early supporters, recall campaign spokesperson Richie Greenberg told Fox News Digital. Boudin's advocates praise the district attorney for keeping true to his promises of eliminating cash bail, not prosecuting quality-of-life crimes and putting fewer people behind bars after his father – a former member of the extremist Weather Underground group – spent about 40 years in prison for second-degree murder and first-degree robbery charges before being granted parole last year.

Polls can be tricky to interpret. This is because there are loads of numbers, deftly worded questions often designed to mislead, and conflicting results – not to mention the political leanings of the pollster. Still, if you are an honest broker, truth can often be found in a well-conducted survey. Unsurprisingly, this is where Democrats expose themselves to a fair amount of criticism.

The courtroom battle between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard fascinated America like few that came before it. (Snip) Captain Jack Sparrow’s big win is proof that America’s courts remain a venue where Americans can defend their reputations and win justice for themselves, without playing by the ever-changing rules of a sinister and malicious media. And Depp’s win also demonstrates the viability of defamation law, specifically, as a way to vindicate one’s reputation against media smears. Defamation laws don’t just exist for deep-pocketed celebrities. They provide a path for all American patriots to win important victories, and at this very moment patriotic legislatures can help more plaintiffs achieve them.

More than 7 in 10 New Yorkers fear they will become a victim of violent crime, a distressing new poll has found—as famously progressive cities nationwide face a public safety reckoning under soft-on-crime Democrat lawmakers and prosecutors. About 76% of residents are “very concerned,” or somewhat concerned, they’ll be targeted amid the Big Apple’s ongoing crime wave, according to the Spectrum News NY1/Siena College poll released Tuesday. When asked “How concerned are you that a shooting in which a gunman targets people based on their race, religion or ethnicity will happen in your neighborhood,” almost half (43%) confessed that they are concerned.

There was a major problem with the 2020 Census, and most people probably haven’t heard about it, even though it has enormous implications. At the end of May, the Census Bureau admitted that it miscounted 14 states in the 2020 Census. Why didn’t the media make a big stink about this story? Maybe it was overshadowed by the recent mass shootings, that’s certainly a possibility, but I have another theory. Here are the states that the Census acknowledged it overcounted: Hawaii, Delaware, Rhode Island, Minnesota, New York, and Massachusetts. Here are the states that the Census acknowledged it undercounted: Texas, Illinois, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Arkansas.

Many conservatives are panicked by his talk of an "assault weapons" ban, whatever that means, and outlawing all 9mm ammunition. Yet, without any compromise on badly needed school safety provisions, it is hard to see even modest federal gun restrictions going forward. In fact, the Republican proposal is starting to look like no more than what McConnell, and even Trump, was offering the Dems in 2019.
