The Arizona Mirror fired a reporter Tuesday for posting offensive tweets in 2011-12 after recently accusing Republican Arizona Senate candidate Blake Masters of praising a Nazi leader.
The former senior reporter, Dillon Rosenblatt, was fired for posting “offensive tweets containing hateful slurs from 2011 and 2012,” the Arizona Mirror said in a statement. The outlet became aware of the tweets earlier Tuesday and authenticated them, leading to an immediate termination. But in case after case, the DOJ is declining to prosecute its own. The one notable exception is Bureau of Prisons (BOP) personnel, who still have reason to fear repercussions if they break the law.
But if you are in the FBI or DEA, you can be virtually assured you will not be prosecuted, based on the long list of cases DOJ has declined to prosecute.
A Washington law firm has filed a federal lawsuit against the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for interfering with the use of ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19.
The lawsuit was filed by Boyden Gray & Associates on behalf of three doctors who were disciplined for prescribing human-grade ivermectin to patients.
The firm’s founder, attorney Boyden Gray, is a former legal adviser to the Reagan and Bush administrations.
Gray told The Epoch Times that the FDA had violated well-established law that allows doctors to prescribe an FDA-approved drug as an off-label treatment.
Ivermectin was no different, he said. It was approved by the FDA in 1966.

Pessimism about the U.S. economy is at its highest level in 50 years amid decades-high inflation rates and rising interest rates.
Roughly 83% of respondents said the state of the economy was poor or not so good, according to a new poll from the Wall Street Journal and NORC at the University of Chicago. Let's start with the first occasion:
Back in 2018, the WaPo published an article by actress Amber Heard where she claimed to be a victim of sexual violence and domestic abuse. The implication was that her then-husband actor Johnny Depp was the perpetrator.
Any responsible news organization would have confirmed with Depp about the allegations prior to publication. The WaPo did no such thing, they published Heard’s version.

TAMPA, Fla. — Authorities say a man was bitten by an alligator outside a motel in Sarasota County Tuesday morning, suffering injuries to his leg.
The incident occurred outside the Warm Mineral Springs Motel, 12597 South Tamiami Trail in North Port, around 12:35 a.m.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office said the man was walking outside the motel and saw a dark figure moving along the bushes on a path. According to Seattle Police, the incident happened Thursday around 2:30 p.m. The school day was almost out when a man hopped the fence onto the Sand Point Elementary School campus.

A Canadian teen has been arrested for threatening to open fire at a West Palm Beach LGBTQ event over the weekend, officials said Monday.

A Texas woman shot and killed her suspected stalker after he kicked in her front door, police say.
The shooting unfolded last Monday evening in Harris County at the Gateway at Ellington apartment complex. Houston Police responded to the apartments and found a male with a gunshot wound to the chest.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the unidentified woman shot the suspected stalker after he kicked in her front door. The woman told police she had recently moved to get away from the man, SBG San Antonio reported.
Police said they found damage to the woman’s door frame.
A group of fishermen got up close and personal with a massive great white shark when it swam inches away from their boat off the coast of the Jersey Shore Saturday.
