A mother took it upon herself to confront a fellow mom at a Target store as she was filling up her shopping cart up with baby formula.
The entire interaction was captured on video and later posted to TikTok as one woman attempted to hold the other to account.
Although the woman’s face could not be seen, the contents of a cart were clearly visible with more than 30 bottles of baby formula stashed inside.(Snip)'Look at the shelves,' she continues, noting how they are all completely empty. 'You don't think I need it for my baby too?' The other mother responds in broken English:

A Virginia board is considering restoring the names of two schools which were originally named for Confederate generals but changed in 2020 after the murder of George Floyd. The Shenandoah County School Board in 2020 voted to change Stonewall Jackson High School to Mountain View High School and Ashby-Lee Elementary School to Honey Run Elementary School. But in the two years since, community members—especially alumni—have expressed opposition to the name changes, school board member Cynthia Walsh told NBC News. More than 4,000 people have signed a petition to change the names back, Vice Chair Dennis Barlow said at a board meeting, where the issue was discussed at length

National Public Radio is encouraging staffers to squeal on each other if they do not comply with the company’s Draconian mask-wearing policy in the office. According to a strongly-worded memo sent out Thursday, NPR employees are not only required to wear masks in the office, but if they see someone who isn’t complying with the mandate, they are encouraged to correct their coworker or rat them out to higher-ups. “If you notice someone who has forgotten their mask, you might tell them, “Hey, you forgot your mask,” the memo said, adding they can also let a superior know so they can “remind” them

Alleged drug traffickers in South Carolina used taco trucks to transport pounds of meth, cocaine and heroin, state prosecutors said Wednesday. The trucks run by Mexican restaurant Los Primos were used as a regional hub for a major drug-dealing operation connected to Mexican cartels, according to the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office. Thirty-four defendants are facing a combined 124 charges connected to the major investigation that the AG’s office dubbed “Los Banditos.” “It was a Mexican restaurant just like any other,” attorney Creighton Waters, of the AG’s office said, according to the Post and Courier. “It’s just that there was more you could get in your Styrofoam clamshells

Monkeypox contact tracers are probing gay bars and spas as they scramble to contain an outbreak of the rare disease. Health chiefs in the UK are 'actively investigating' venues visited by six homosexual and bisexual men who tested positive in the past week.
They include bars, clubs and saunas, according to an update by the World Health Organization (WHO). Six of Britain's nine confirmed cases are men who have sex with men, which officials say is 'highly suggestive of spread in sexual networks'. A similar pattern is emerging in Europe, where seven gay or bisexual men have tested positive in Spain and nine 'mostly young' males in Portugal.

In what some are calling an epic 'Freudian slip,' former President George W. Bush accidentally called the invasion of Iraq 'wholly unjustified and brutal' while speaking about Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Bush made the embarrassing gaffe in a speech at his presidential center in Dallas, where he spoke about the importance of fair elections and slammed Russia's autocratic system.
'The result is an absence of checks and balances in Russia, and the decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq,' Bush said, before shaking his head and correcting himself. 'I mean, of Ukraine.' As the audience fell into awkward silence, Bush muttered

Vladimir Putin's state TV propagandists have targeted the new White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre in a rant where they suggested she only got the job because she is black and gay.
The Russian state TV hosts laughed as they said Jean-Pierre will be 'replaced' in a month or two by a 'white, heterosexual male'.
They claimed Jean-Pierre, who is the first black, gay and immigrant woman to hold the position of White House press secretary, was not chosen for her 'professional abilities'.(Snip)Popov added: 'I read many books, graduated from a University, I did my PhD thesis on such and such a topic, I speak many

California residents are fleeing to the country of Portugal and in many cases bringing problems that have made life more difficult for natives, according to the Los Angeles Times report. A story titled "Welcome to Portugal, the new expat haven. Californians, please go home," reports that the number of Americans living in Portugal has risen by 45% in the past year with many of those Americans moving from California in order to escape high housing costs, pandemic lockdowns, and "Trumpian politics" in the United States. Brussels—The European Union’s executive arm moved Wednesday to jump-start plans for the 27-nation bloc to abandon Russian energy amid the Kremlin’s war in Ukraine, proposing a nearly 300 billion-euro ($315 billion) package that includes more efficient use of fuels and faster rollout of renewable power. The European Commission’s investment initiative is meant to help the 27 EU countries start weaning themselves off Russian fossil fuels this year. The goal is to deprive Russia, the EU’s main supplier of oil, natural gas and coal, of tens of billions in revenue and strengthen EU climate policies. “We are taking our ambition to yet another level

American families are shelling out what amounts to $5,000 per year to put gas in their cars—a painful increase from $2,800 just a year ago, according to a new report. The new study by Yardeni Research shows the ever-increasing financial burden borne by US households in recent months as the price of fuel has reached record levels.
In March, the annual rate of gasoline spending by US households was at $3,800, according to the study. “No wonder that the Consumer Sentiment Index is so depressed. The wonder is that retail sales have been so surprisingly strong during April and May,” Yardeni said in a note.

We should simply drive around in a Tesla like AOC. Or better yet, a massive SUV where the chauffeur unloads your bicycle a block before your destination, the way Mayor Pete does it. (Most people would choose to add a seat to the bike, but to each his own.)
