It’s religious dogma to the left: our immigration system is broken and the only fix is more cowbell. Ok, maybe not more cowbell, but a complete overhaul of the system – “comprehensive immigration reform” – which is code, or “dog whistle,” to put it in terms Democrats will understand, for amnesty. Sure, it would also involve a lot of other things progressives leftists admit we need to “fix” about the system, but without amnesty, they aren’t interested in any of it. Which goes to show you that, in fact, the immigration system is not broken, Democrats are.
Our immigration system worked just fine (not perfectly, mind you, but fine)

Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that the hearings of the House Select Committee investigating the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 would show “new information.”
Anchor Margaret Brennan asked, “The chairman for the committee investigating the January 6th attack on the US Capitol announced a series of public hearings will be held in June with the very first one scheduled for the 9th. Congressman Adam Kinzinger of Illinois is a member of that committee, and he joins us this morning. Good morning to you. Congressman, do you expect this to be more of building a public narrative,

High prices in President Joe Biden’s America are forcing Americans to change their eating habits, a Rasmussen Reports survey released Thursday found.
The vast majority of Americans, 87 percent, acknowledged that they are paying more for groceries now than they were one year ago. That includes 93 percent of Republicans, 85 percent of Democrats, and 84 percent of independents.
The overall outlook is not positive either, as 64 percent predict they will be paying even more for groceries one year from now, with just 9 percent predicting it will be lower. Once again, there is a consensus across the board, as 77 percent of Republicans, 55 percent of Democrats,

Former Democrat congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard has been a fierce critic of her party’s slide into full-blown authoritarianism and on Sunday morning, she offered up a provocative take on the Biden regime’s terrifying new propaganda and censorship entity, suggesting that a familiar character is behind it.
Last week, Americans were given a reality check on just how rogue that the current administration has gone under President Joe Biden when news broke that rabidly partisan Nina Jankowicz would be heading up the Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board, a chilling step in establishment efforts to control the narrative in order to retain their iron-fisted grip on political power.

California Rep. Eric Swalwell has long been accused of being a “dumb a–,” but his latest ditzy move has critics thinking that even this insult is a gross underestimation of the lawmaker’s true “stupidity.”
Citing a New York Times opinion column, Swalwell claimed in a tweet posted last week that “all” Americans, particularly rural Americans, are faring better economically under President Joe Biden versus under former President Donald Trump.
“Compared to the Trump years, we are all doing much better under @POTUS Biden. But that’s especially true in Rural America. Share this story to make sure we all understand the difference and impact,” he wrote.

A Columbia, Tennessee family claims they were stalked via an Apple AirTag while walking through Disney World theme park.
An Apple AirTag is a coin-shaped device designed to help users keep track of their belongings’ location. For instance, one might put an AirTag in their backpack, so that in case they misplace their backpack, they can look up its location on their phone.
But something entirely different happened to the family of Jennifer Gaston.
As the family was reportedly headed back to their vehicle after a day of walking through the theme park, Gaston’s 17-year-old daughter, Madison, received a notification on her phone — presumably an iPhone —

Earlier this week, the State Government Leadership Foundation (SGLF) launched its six-figure "Tale of Two Americas" ad campaign to highlight the stunning contrast between how states run by Republican leaders and those run by Democrats fare when it comes to issues such as economic opportunity, academic achievement, and safety in their communities. [Video]
The 54-second ad contains buzzwords such as "freedom and fear." The ad distinguishes how "Our country is a tale of two Americas. One full of freedom. The other full of fear. We have opportunity or hardship. Education or indoctrination. Rule of law or lawlessness. Strength or weakness."

The “working woman” culture has been toxic to motherhood.
I can already feel the rage emanating from some mothers. Hear me out.
My mother is a Baby Boomer. She came from a culture in which mothers staying home with children was the norm (which it is in most parts of the world, by the way) and mothers going to work while their children went to babysitters seemed very out of place. Her generation fought that notion. They wanted the right to be seen as equal partners in financially providing for their families. They wanted the right to go make a career and conquer their chosen professions

Naomi Judd, who with her daughter Wynonna formed the tremendously successful country duo The Judds, died Saturday April 30th from what a press release by Wynonna and her sister, actress Ashley Judd, labeled as “mental illness.” Naomi Judd was 76, the Associated Press reports.
The Judds first came to public attention in 1983 with the release of their debut EP Wynonna & Naomi. Its debut single made it into the Country Top 20, but the follow-up “Mama He’s Crazy” became a smash hit, the duo’s first Number One single. [Video]

Democrat senators on Friday will weigh whether or not Elon Musk should testify about how he intends to reform Twitter.
The senators’ deliberation comes after the Biden administration on Wednesday created a “Disinformation Governance Board” just two days after Musk’s inked the deal with Twitter. It appears Democrats are gearing up for a two-pronged attack on any changes Musk makes to the platform.
“We’re thinking about it,” Commerce Committee Chair Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA) told Bloomberg News about a potential hearing. No hearing has yet been scheduled, but Democrats may find a hearing politically expedient.
Since Musk’s successful bid to take Twitter private, congressional Democrats have become interested

Britain’s new Elections Act, which has just received Royal Assent, has finally made voter ID compulsory at polling stations — but questions remain about mail-in voting fraud.
The new legislation was widely opposed by left-wing political parties, including the Labour opposition, and activists, with allegations that the poor, ethnic minorities, and “trans and non-binary people” would be disenfranchised being widespread.
However, the government produced research showing that, in fact, “98 per cent of electors already own a photographic document that is on the broad list of acceptable types of identification” allowed under the Act, and the remaining two per cent will be entitled to Voter Cards

Establishment Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) on Thursday admitted she may lose her primary bid to Donald Trump-endorsed candidate Kelly Tshibaka.
“I may not be re-elected,” Murkowski told the New York Times about the possible end of her 20-year Senate career.
“It may be that Alaskans say, ‘Nope, we want to go with an absolute, down-the-line, always, always, 100-percent, never-question, rubber-stamp Republican,’ she said about Tshibaka who is leading in the polls.
“And if they say that that’s the way that Alaska has gone — kind of the same direction that so many other parts of the country have gone — I have to accept that,” Murkowski added.
