Food shortages and skyrocketing food prices now appear inevitable. The global food price index hit its highest recorded level in March 2022, rising 12.6% in a single month. On average, food prices were one-third higher than in March 2021. In the U.S., food prices rose 9% in 2021, and are predicted to rise another 4.5% to 5% in the next 12 months (snip)Inflation was already ramping up well before Russia went into Ukraine, thanks to the uncontrolled printing of fiat currencies that occurred in response to the COVID pandemic.(snip)Ukraine has ceased exports of wheat, oats, millet, buckwheat and cattle, and Russia has banned exports of fertilizer

Biodynamic farming practices may not work everywhere, even if it becomes more widely adopted. As for the next 6 months, the WWII era Victory Gardens may be a good idea to save some money.

Wow! Biodynamic faring is the answer!!!!
Just don't let any of the food from the farm go to anyone not on the farm to eat. That takes nutrients from the farm and destroys the whole system. Good thing people don't mind not eating. And don't eat dirt either if you don't live there - that steals nutrients too.
These always sound so good, but are so totally foolish.

A number of US farmers have realized that they CANNOT afford to put on the normal amount of fertilizers, with fertilizer prices already triple last year. So, they'll plant, but with less fertilizers, yields per acre will be down. Some wheat acreage has produced 50 - 60 bushels of wheat per acre. Hard to know how much lower yields will be, but if USA yields are down 25% to 40%, which seems possible, AND Ukraine sells no wheat into international markets .....there's going to be a huge price increase for wheat, then flour and all things made with it. In many countries, bread is a large part of total daily calories.
I don't think most Americans will suffer too badly from this, but third world folks are far closer to the edge, food wise. Real starvation seems likely for those third world folks on the margins.
The WEF folks should be pleased, if they really are trying to drive the world population down.

Chinese COVID-19 manufacturing and dispersal, serious long-term East-West shipping disruptions, shortages of Chinese produced medical supplies, shortages of food and now “the worst flooding in Chinese history”? Since China is thousands of years old this is quite a claim. So much happening at once. Could it all be by design? Could it all be the plan of global elites to rid what they like to call “the planet” (Get it? They want to signal that they are too superior to think in terms of the mere Earth or the world but consider the universe “home”) of subhumans defined as people who don’t own shore homes over 15,000 sq, ft. and travel exclusively by chauffeured car or private jet or helicopter and probably prefer children. How else would narcissistic, sexually perverted control freak pedophiles handle their desire to live in a world that they are free to roam without being around we lowlives?

Not to be a Debbie Downer but Texas, Arizona, and California are suffering from major droughts, that will severely impact food supplies and prices. I am with # 1 an old fashion Victory garden is the way to go.

#4 I have farmed for a living for 51 years full time, and growing up before that. It is very dry in the wheat areas of Kansas, dryer than usual, the wheat is starting to go backwards. Some fertilizers are TRIPLE in price from what they were last year, chemicals and fuel are up as well. Local CO-OP today was out of 46-0-0, a nitrogen fertilizer. Last I bought in early March was $890 per ton, up from about 300 last year.
Grain prices are way up, but if we don't raise much of a crop, we won't have much to sell. I have been done planting corn for 10 days and not even a sprout has showed up yet. I have never seen an April in 65 years that we couldn't get the corn up.
Beef prices are at record highs, but the cattlemen aren't getting it. Demand MCOOL be reinstated. One of the largest beef packers as South American owned. Most of the beef sold in the US is US born, fed and processed, but not all. Demand USA beef. I fed slaughter cattle for 43 years and got out in 2013. I don't miss the stress one bit.

Re #7. Here in eastern KS, we are getting pretty decent amounts of rain, lawns are green, as are pastures. I wish it was helping the farmers by falling farther west. Farmers get nailed from all sides, sadly.
I've got friends who have farmed, one used to do 80,000 acres of wheat western KS-eastern Colorado, but sold out to "eastern buyers" about 20 years ago, retired a rich man from selling it all. Half leased land, half owned. He said he had to get one good year and 2 OK years in five to survive, but he was a very large operation, so that helps. The smaller the farmer, the less ability to survive bad years. Lots of bad this year, from Biden wrecking the fuels market to the war shutting off fertilizer out of Russia - which I believe was made from their massive natural gas supplies. I've flown over central Russia at night and seen HUGE flares of gas being burned because it was inconvenient to pipe it to market - they were out in the middle of Siberia.
Good luck to you and your friends out there in western KS. Hope you all get some rain.

Suffice it to say, "there will be shortages and massive price hikes" no matter what the reason is. I find it curious why basically no one in the msm is actually talking about this situation. A few give it a passing story but no one has delt into what is coming down the pike. I thought that once Joe admitted that it was going "to be real" there would be discussions. No, almost none. They make it seem like Cheerios might be hard to find because of the wheat situation and if you do find them they will be expensive. It is not that simple and I fear that it is going to get very ugly by the end of the growing season when they realize there is not enough food to go around. While a garden might be a good idea it certainly does not solve the situation of feeding your family. We are currently eating food that was grown and harvested last season. All indications are that this coming season will be low producing. I guess that as long as pelosi has her expensive freezers stocked with her favorite chocolate ice cream (that includes FJB too) all is good with the food chain. A lot of people will be in a world of hurt when this comes to fruition. This situation needs to be discussed, analyzed and reported on.

If you believe this was not part of the the Great Reset’s plan, you are not paying attention. They are taking advantage of every crisis in order to control the population and what better way than to have food shortages. Every communist regime has starved its people because it is a very effective method to gain control. People will look to government to save them from food shortages. I am not saying this is not a real crisis but the evil cabal that is causing chaos across the globe is taking advantage of it. Anyone can see that our grocery shelves are more bare than I have ever seen them.
Ask yourself, does this administration even have a plan going forward to lessen the impact of the coming shortages? I have heard little in that regard. Looking to the Biden cabal for a solution is absolute folly.
It is very troubling to know just how pathetically inept this administration is. Our esteemed political class is not much better. Who is sounding the alarm? No one. Clearly, the government has failed us and continues to do so. It appears they have little interest in protecting their constituents from the coming storm. They allow hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens per month to cross our border while looking at a global food shortage. This is the height of irresponsibility but that appears to be their superpower along with incompetence. God help us.

#10 I doubt there has ever been a discussion in the white house regarding how to mitigate this problem.
Everything is going according to the globalist plan and people standing in line for rations from their government would suit them just fine. (Of course, you would have to get a vaccine before entering the line.)

Let’s not forget that it all started on day one when TaliBiden canceled America’s oil production. What does it cost to run farm equipment when diesel is $5 per gallon?

The perfect way to celebrate Earth Day! The looming prospect of global starvation. But hey! Fewer SUVs, and best of all....no more mean tweets. And yes, I believe it is 'all part of the plan'. As 4 says above: '...third world folks are far closer to the edge, food wise. Real starvation seems likely for those third world folks on the margins.' Those are people the Global Superhumans deem redundant. And as far as the teeming millions swarming our southern border? They are planned replacements for the truculent native worker bees. I'd say thanks Joe! But he is just the dull ax being used to clear the forest. I blame Balack Osama, and his hatred for: Whitey, Christians and actual Americans.

The Union Pacific Railroad has stopped carrying fertilizer, according to an article I read. They say it's because of rail traffic congestion but it seems fishy to me. Also, last night Tucker was talking about an unusual spate of big fires at food processing plants all over the country. I do think our overlords are doing their best to reduce the population. Bill Gates has talked about it for years. He owns a lot of farmland, and I wonder what he is doing with it -- producing food or taking it out of production.

The Ukraine war will result in worldwide food shortages and price increases. However the Biden regime's policies to destroy US energy independence and cause enormous increases in energy costs will roll through the cost of everything because nothing is produced and delivered without some energy component in its cost. Right now, the worker bees are absorbing the cost here, but eventually wages must start rising and then the inflation cycle will grow even faster.

#8, that's an interesting aside about the flares . . . . I saw the same thing years ago on a flight over probably that same area in western Siberia en route to Surgut/Nizhenevartovsk. It conjured up images of Dante's Inferno with all those flares on the horizon as far as the eye could see.

#7 Actually I'm not in Western Kansas, more south central. The guys farther west are in way worse shape.
BTW, I know of the fellow in Eastern Colorado who farmed 80,000 of wheat, my neighbor who was a trucker hauled wheat from his farm bins a few years ago. What an operation. Bet he is glad he got out when he did.. That would be 125 sections of wheat, or 500 quarters. Whew.

It's kinda a watch your back scenario...I started stocking up months ago... now to find cat food on the shelves is a hide and seek game...I bought plenty of pasta and jars of marinara sauce and tubes of parmesan cheese...my crock pot has been working overtime making home/made chicken noodle soup ...which I freeze ...I live close to farms ...so my chicken and eggs come direct....com'on people think for yourselves...you can do it!!...there is nothing to fear...except fear itself...during the war..WWII in Sweden ...my mother gave us homemade bread slices with butter from our cows..until the gestapo took them and sprinkled sugar...that was our dessert...ah good memories of my sainted Mama!!

Re #15, not defending Gates, but I checked into his "huge holdings" a while back. Yes, as far as a single person owning farm land, he has a LOT. But in the larger scheme of the US farm market he doesn't even reach up to a 'drop in a bucket'. IIRC his entire land holdings amounted to something like 1 or2% of the farm land in the state of Kansas. And Kansas is just one of many farming states. Whatever Gates does with his farmland - it won't significantly affect the farm products market, just too tiny.
Now - screwing with the fertilizer prices and fuel prices - THAT can really wreck the farm economy, no doubt.
Maybe Billy Boy is growing food to be reserved for his buddies when times get hard. He'd have enough land to do that, but not affect the overall market.

Doesn't it seem odd that from January to April of this year there has been sixteen processing plant fires in the U.S. this year.Meat processing plants. Two planes crashed into two seperate plants within the last two weeks.Biden gave a speech here while back telling us to expect higher food prices.were all these fires planned.Seems very odd to me.

There are more people living close to the edge than you think in the USA. See what the old codgers buy in the checkout line - lots of Dinty Moore's and frozen dinners for the old men. Those things will be impacted in price probably more than a lot of fresh unprepared foods. You are going to have people trying to live on cereal by this time next year as the price of meat continues to skyrocket.

Wonderful former farm land in Ohio Indiana now being used for farming data warehouses. That concerns me, why so much data storage is needed. Acres and acres going on for miles.

You know how socialists love rationing, price controls, and equity - think what they could do with food shortages. How about a rationing system where half the meat supply is reserved for those who face systemic oppression...blacks, hispanics, chest feeders, "refugees", trannies, native americans, pipe smokers, and maybe throw in social justice workers since they are devoting all their time and energy getting the rest of us to surrender our wealth and privilege and consequently have no time to actually earn a living. We would also have to ration meat to the handicapped and anybody who has had a recent abortion because they need the iron. The raioned meat would be heavily subsidized and only the oppressed would have access to a ration book. The subsidy on the rationed meat would be paid for with a heavy tax on the non-rationed portion of the meat supply which would sell at market price. Sound good doesn't it? Equity, rationing, and price controls how could you go wrong? I've gotta write Bernie a letter and cc Fauxcahontus.

No it's not the Ukraine. It's the same people who cheated. Same people who brought you Covid. Yes the same people spread the Avian Flu. Funny 23 states all got it within the same time of 4 days. So they planted a new Flu. We already destroyed 24M chickens. Eggs are being destroyed too. At the ports there are hundreds/thousands of ships just waiting to unload or load product. In the last week there have been 20 food processing/distribution factories that have had major fires or explosions. Stock up a little (leave some for others) Good News: The right people are on to it.
