Atlanta—The National Urban League released its annual report on the State of Black America on Tuesday, and its findings are grim. This year’s Equality Index shows Black people still get only 73.9% of the American pie white people enjoy. While Black people have made economic and health gains, they’ve slipped further behind white people in education, social justice and civic engagement since this index was launched in 2005. A compendium of average outcomes by race in many aspects of life, it shows just how hard it is for people of color to overcome systemic racism, the civil rights organization says.(Snip)The index shows not only that the median household

They have subjugated themselves to the dim party and are being abused and misused by that party. This time it is voluntary servitude and they can walk away anytime they want. No need for a civil war.

The largest "systemic racism" in this country today is by black people and is aimed at everyone else -- especially white people.
For example, it's why when a black kid tries to work hard and do good in school, other black kids shame him by saying he is "acting white".
It's why almost every case of violent racist attacks on Asian people are done by blacks. Same for attacks on Jewish people.
It's why so many blacks have a permanent "victim mentality" even though they have never actually had a non-black person do anything bad to them. Which leads to things like massively high numbers of children being born to unwed mothers into a life of poverty (and often having multiple siblings from different fathers).

If you really want to empower people so that they succeed, you don’t keep telling them that they are helpless victims of circumstance. You don’t keep telling them that any failure is someone else’s fault.

If the state of black America is grim, it's because so many blacks have voted demoslut for so many years. There are generations of blacks who believed the lies the demosluts have shoveled for decades and have lost the sense of responsibility it takes to become a productive citizen. Their only solution in their minds is to blame whitey for their situation instead of taking responsibility to make their lives better. When 70% of blacks are born to unwed mothers, it only makes one's life that much tougher.

The most economically successful demographic in America are Indian-Americans. Asian-Americans are not far behind, but considerably ahead of White Americans. So, by the Urban League's logic, White Americans are the victims of systematic racism by Indians and Asians.

Correction: " The State of America is pretty grim.", and if we continue to have Marxists promote the narrative of divide, divide, divide - black against white; rich against poor; atheists against Christians; and on and on - it will continue to be grim. Tell me one Marxist country where the working class ever felt happy and secure. Stop with the racism. Blacks have had as many opportunities as others.

Well the Democrats claim they have since the 1960’s been throwing billions of dollars at trying to pull the Black America into the modern world, how much of that money has been skimmed off through corruption is anyone’s guess. Now we have the National Urban League claiming that the state of Black America is grim. Maybe the state of Black America will remain grim until Black America takes the bull by the horns, and does what “whitey” does, get educated, and get a good job, save their money, and purchase their own home. All the legal factors for them to do that have been in place since the 1960’s for the Black population. However it has also been the Democrats as they flood the Black population with political BS have also been putting very big impediments in the Black populations way, most recently, by flooding the USA with millions of illegal aliens who will both take millions of US jobs that could have gone to members of the Black population and also will serve to seriously diminish the wages paid to employees in those jobs, that could have been held by members of the U.S. Black population.

Instead of peddling lies, Morial and his organization should focus on why so many black children are raised without their father in their life and the impact that has on their education and life choices.

The systemic racism comes from the Democratic Party and from within the black community with so much peer pressure holding each other back.

There are many books written on personal success. None of them say the way to success is to have the government support you. Instead they advocate education, a good work ethic, personal responsibility, and a solid family life; things that the dems tell Blacks is "racist" and that they don't need to pay attention to. The dems will rescue them. BUT, they never do because it is not possible.
Blacks have CHOSEN to buy into this thinking and its dead end outcomes. They focus their effort into inner city violence that ends in their death or imprisonment. No one can fix this for them. Blacks must make other choices.

It’s as simple as this - Black Fathers Matter.
Until Black Fathers come back into the family the problems are not going away . And White families are not immune to this problem either.

Racism is so much in demand people are faking incidents to prove racism. Could the problem be cultural issues? Or I wonder if you took out the outliers of 10 inner urban cities, Black Americans would look more like white America? I hope so, or all that money fixing racism and poverty was misspent. Seems the Poverty Pimps are always a trillion dollars away from creating Utopia.

Hard to look around, and realize things were doing much better for Black America, as they say, when just about a year and a half ago, things were looking pretty good after 4 years of President Trump's policies. Then, you look around and see people from India, Nigeria, China, South Korea, Philippines, Japan, and Vietnam succeed in just 1 generation. Seems hard to think that could be the case if there was systemic racism.
Maybe, just maybe, it's the Democrat party's own policies that are the obstacles. Just read what Fredrick Douglass had to say.
Something else to consider:
"Think for yourself, or other will think for you without thinking of you" Henry David Thoreau

Of course the Urban League will find the state of Black America grimm. That is their job. The Urban League exists to find and magnify Black suppression and make sure that everyone knows about it. If the outlook were not grimm, they would find something to make it look grimm. I wonder what the outlook was during the Trump years.

It is their own fault. They are given every opportunity and now, many more opportunities than white people are. You can take a horse to water but you can't make him drink. You can send a child to school but you can't make them behave or study or be a good citizen. And if they don't learn those things at home, some of today's teachers are not good ones to be teaching them.

I had a student tell me that there is no need for him to study to get a job because his mother gets a check at her house and his father gets a check at his house, so he too will always get a check from the government. How do you fight that when it is true?

As a Black man this just makes me angry. For years we as a people have been voting for a party that has done nothing positive for us. We'd rather celebrate fools like Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, Maxine Waters, Katanji Brown Jackson and George Floyd but denigrate Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Tim Scott, Mark Robinson and David Dorn. We'd rather have a known racists like Ibram X Kendi speak at colleges but have patriots like Allen West thrown off campuses. I could go on with examples but it strikes me as funny how the Black left can do all of that and complain about how the state of Blacks in America is grim. To them I say what a bunch of dimwitted hypocrites.

Only about 10% of the population in Black “communities” are causing the vast majority of the criminal offenses in those “communities”. If the other 90% of the population of those “communities” assisted and cooperated with “community” law enforcement and policing, their lives would be much better.

They can murder all of the White people and seize their assets, and still nothing will change. South Africa and Zimbabwe prove this. Bigger picture, unless something is done about the Marxists who are pushing this garbage behind the scenes, the USA is finished.
