Lord have mercy. This Disinformation and the Erosion of Democracy summit at the University of Chicago’s Institute for Politics has unearthed some gold regarding the liberal media news complex and how they’re a massive problem…to the very theme of the conference. The Atlantic’s Anne Applebaum pretty much exposed why the media is so distrusted when she admitted why she buried the Hunter Biden story. She said she didn’t find it interesting.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors (BOS) on Tuesday approved a motion suspending official travel to Florida and Texas over the southern states' legislation regarding parental rights and transgender minors.
Critics have depicted recent orders from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Florida Gov. Don DeSantis as harmful to LGBTQ inclusiveness and safety.
The LA County BOS responded to the legislation by voting to "suspend all travel to the States of Texas and Florida for the conduct of County business unless the Chief Executive Officer determines that the failure to authorize such travel would seriously harm the County’s interests."

In the war for the hearts, minds and corporate relocations of businesses, Chicago has fired another shot across the bow at three Sun Belt rivals over recent legislation targeting the LGBTQ+ community, such as the Florida education law critics have dubbed “Don’t Say Gay.” World Business Chicago, the city’s public-private economic development arm, bought full-page ads Thursday in the Orlando Sentinel, Dallas Morning News and Phoenix Business Journal to launch a new marketing campaign and promote Chicago as a more inclusive business climate. “In Chicago, We Believe,” takes on a lightning rod issue that has led a growing number of

During his first few days as President, Joe Biden named Robert Malley as his U.S. Special Envoy for Iran. Malley has a long history of antipathy toward Israel, as well as a profoundly deep reserve of patience with Iran and other enemies of the Jewish state. Most notably, he helped negotiate the Iran nuclear deal of 2015 — known officially as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) — and he subsequently opposed the Trump Administration’s “maximum pressure” sanctions against Tehran. From the start of his tenure with the Biden Administration, Malley called for the U.S. to return to the JCPOA as swiftly as possible,

A number of city officials from Tampa, Florida were in attendance at the 23rd Annual Islamic Charity Festival, held in March, to show their support for the festival’s organizer, the Tampa Bay Muslim Alliance (TBMA), and those involved in the event. Representing one of the festival’s sponsors, the Islamic Community of Tampa (ICT), was Hatem Fariz, a convicted member of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). While Fariz’ participation should be seen as a ‘red line’ not to be crossed by those in government looking to connect with Muslims, other festival participants have backgrounds that are nearly as radical, and TBMA, itself, has ties to PIJ beyond Fariz.

Per InstaPundit, the Left is up in arms because conservatives are referring to the forced sexualization of five, six and seven year old children in the public schools as “grooming.” You can always tell when we have hit on an effective theme: the Left declares it out of bounds. John Nolte has more, beginning with a response to David French, who likened the forced sexualization of small children to Donald Trump participating in a Playboy video. Right. Whatever the topic, talk about Trump instead. Links in the original are omitted here:

Former President Donald Trump could still face criminal charges over his business dealings, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg signaled Thursday in a statement that said his investigation is continuing and that he would explain his final decision to the public.
“While the law constrains me from commenting further at this time, I unequivocally pledge that the Office will publicly state the conclusion of our investigation — whether we conclude our work without bringing charges, or move forward with an indictment,” Bragg added.
“In the meantime, we will not be discussing our investigative steps. Nor will we be discussing grand jury matters. In short, as we have previously said, the investigation continues.”

Pope Francis, a leading advocate of Doormat Christianity, is at it again, trying to reverse nearly two millennia of Christian doctrine, by preaching total passivity—even against violent aggression.
On March 18, 2022, Francis declared before an audience that “A war is always—always!—the defeat of humanity, always. We, the educated, who work in education, are defeated by this war, because on another side we are responsible.”
So far, all well and good, if only because such lofty but impotent words are expected.
But then Francis went so far as to say, “There is no such thing as a just war: they do not exist!”
That is a remarkably dangerous claim, of similar naïve thinkers—

President Biden and the White House have repeatedly denied that he and Hunter Biden ever discussed the first son’s controversial overseas business dealings — yet there are at least a dozen times where Joe Biden had to know what his son was doing.
1. Joe “recommends” The latest example emerged Wednesday, when it was revealed that Hunter Biden got his dad to write a recommendation letter to Brown University for the son of a powerful Chinese business associate, Jonathan Li. “Jonathan, Hunter asked me to send you a copy of the recommendation letter that he asked his father to write on behalf of

So far, the lurid news reports of global influence peddling, sex and drugs emanating from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop and its thousands upon thousands of damning emails have been treated solely as the risqué escapades of President Joe Biden’s ne’er-do-well son. However sad this episode might be, we’ve been told it has nothing to do with the president himself. Oh, really?
In fact, based on what we know so far, President Biden could be in a world of legal trouble.
Ordinarily, influence peddling involves a middleman with access to someone powerful. The middleman uses his access to a powerful politician

Isn’t the Democrat Party the party of empathy, love and inclusion? Oh wait, that’s what they say, not exactly what they do.
No putsch here. Oh no, this Svengali is way too cool to actually show his fangs as he destroys his former vice-president, Joe Biden. Forgetting also that Joe Biden was the man who made him. (snip) But, have you ever watched any politician, or ex-president no less, more narcissist than Obama’s televised bloodless coup at the White House? Clearly the overthrow was devised, written, directed, and implemented by the former president.

On Monday, President Biden held an outdoor ceremony on the White House lawn to talk about the trucking industry. In the course of speaking, he repeated his tall tale about having had a "commercial driver's license" (CDL) while he was a young senator and having driven tractor-trailers.
At the 21:43 of his speech, Biden said, "I used to drive a truck; it's a long story[.]" And at the 24:51 mark of the speech, he proceeded to tell us the story.
Basically, he said, while helping out his father, the used car salesman, he used to go up to Philadelphia to pick up tractors or entire rigs

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Elvir is an illegal alien living in the United States and that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency has placed a detainer on him so that, if he is released, they will take over custody.

The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has reportedly filed an application to trademark the centuries-old word “archetypes” as it will be the name for her upcoming podcast on Spotify.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Meghan Markle has made an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office in March for the usage of the word “archetypes”, which the paper noted derives from Ancient Greek for “original forms” and entered the English language around the 1540’s.
The word according to the Encyclopaedia Britannica means: “a primordial image, character, or pattern of circumstances that recurs throughout literature and thought consistently enough to be considered a universal concept or situation.”

Some reporters are calling on President Biden to ignore Supreme Court decisions that they believe are politically motivated. On Wednesday, the Supreme Court temporarily reinstated a Trump-era that limits the power of the states to block energy projects that can potentially pollute rivers, streams and other waterways. In a split 5-4 decision, the justices overturned a lower court judge’s order to throw out the rule until the Biden administration can implement a new rule which is expected in spring 2023.

Crime is running rampant throughout Manhattan’s key commercial neighborhoods—and local business leaders are banding together to demand help from Gov. Kathy Hochul. Crime across Manhattan’s Midtown South district has spiked by more than 50% year to date—wreaking havoc across a crucial corridor for commuters and shoppers alike that includes Penn Station, Grand Central Terminal and the Port Authority Bus Terminal, police data show. Meanwhile, grand larceny is up 45% on the Upper East Side, which encompasses prime shopping strips on Madison, Lexington and Third avenues between East 57th and East 86th streets. Organized rings of shoplifters who are targeting high-end boutiques are a key driver of the spike
