Remember Cary Grant? Spencer Tracy? Fred Astaire? Clark Gable? Gene Tierney? Grace Kelly? Olivia de Havilland? Audrey Hepburn? Hollywood and its Academy Awards ceremonies were once was amazingly elegant. Now, with the Oscars showing us Will Smith walking up on stage to punch announcer Chris Rock for making fun of his wife's bald head, they've become kind of wretched. The Oscars this year showed just how far the movie idols and their Hollywood juggernaut have fallen. It wasn't just a matter of toddler manners on display, although that certainly was prominent this year. There actually was a lot of ugliness.

The women got the word to show cleavage in hopes that would help sagging ratings. They even found a way to make the memorial section laughable. It was basically the Drama Club awards banquet. Nobody cares anymore.

I’ve seen people in taverns on the wrong side of town that were better behaved, and better dressed, than this mob. I haven’t been to a movie theater in about a year. I’ll probably never set foot in one again.

No doubt, by all accounts, the Oscars are on the way out as a viable awards show, that is now being transformed by racial, ethnic, and gender quotas with future movies not meeting those quota requirements not being considered for Oscar awards.

I'll show you how old I am I would walk through the room in the late fifties while by parents watched the Oscars. In the morning I had to hear Liz Taylor won the Oscar. I have never set still to watch the Oscars. I am not a star gazer, nor do I care about them. I did meet James Arness at a Houston rodeo in 1958 and pet his horse. People today everywhere are insulting ugly dressers not just in Hollywood. The Oscars are just an inside club to gawk at one another and insult the people that support them, their politics wiped them out like Robert DeNiro at stand-up night. FTO.

I didn't watch the Oscars last night and haven't in decades, but I did scroll through the pictures of the outfits and I like Jennifer Garner's red gown. But I must say, I am no beauty and I am over 50 but some of the older attendees - have not aged well at all and with all their money you'd think they could buy some really good makeup or cosmetic surgery.

Some things don't make sense. That brings us to some testimony from the FBI's assistant director for cybersecurity who told Congress's Rep. Matt Gaetz that he had no idea where Hunter Biden's laptop, entrusted to FBI custody, actually is: According to the Post Millennial: "Who has it?" Gaetz asked. "I don’t know who has it," said [FBI Assistant Director for the Cyber Division Bryan] Vorndran. "What now you're telling me right here is that as the Assistant Director of FBI Cyber, you don't know where this is, after it was turned over to you three years ago?" Gaetz said. "Yes, sir. That's an accurate statement," Vorndran responded.

Does Joe Biden know what he's talking about? A few stale weeks after being being rebuffed by Congress and many Democrat economists over his $3.5 trillion "build back better" spendathon, he's tweeting up a storm about being a deficit cutter, while vowing even more big government spending. (Snip for tweets) This does not compute. And for good measure, he blamed Trump, gaslighting voters into thinking he's really Mr. Fiscal Discipline: (Snip for tweet) Hearing this spendathon artist blame President Trump for "fiscal management" is something just a little beyond the pot calling the kettle black. Yes, Trump spent a lot. But he also cut government.

We've heard a lot about how elites conspired (and bragged) about manipulating the 2020 election in their favor, claiming they had 'saved democracy.' We've learned about how Zuckerbucks ensured that private resources were spent under color of authority to 'get out the vote' but only for some districts, while elected officials who had that job were sidelined. We've learned that Twitter and much of the rest of the social media juggernaut conspired (Snip) But the great cheating machine didn't stopped at those outrages. When lawmakers attempted to correct some of the issues that contributed to the fraud through legislating better laws, they came for the kids.

Joe Biden went to Europe to make speeches during Europe's most serious crisis since World War II, but was mostly focused on his own re-election. That meant some pre-emptive shots at President Trump, who "lost" the election to him, based on various manipulations and cheatings, while Biden's polling approval has gone downhill ever since. But Joe was upbeat: According to CNBC: President Joe Biden said Thursday that he would consider himself “very fortunate” if former President Donald Trump runs against him for a second time in the 2024 election for the White House.

Democrats don't seem to ever learn Economics 101, do they? That's obvious enough in their various bone-headed schemes to beat soaring gas prices at the pump by throwing new money at the problem. Fox11 has the story: One proposal comes from Reps. Mike Thompson of California, John Larson of Connecticut, and Lauren Underwood of Illinois. The congressional lawmakers propose the Gas Rebate Act of 2022 where Americans would get an energy rebate of $100 per month (and $100 for each dependent) for the rest of 2022 in any month where the national average gas prices exceed $4.00 per gallon.
