Actress Sally Field says that if she sees Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) or Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R), she “cannot be responsible for what I would do.”
“Those men who are doing that, and they’re mostly male governors who are doing it, are so backward, so ignorant and really just power hungry,” the Forest Gump star told Variety, after being asked what she thinks of these pro-life legislation in states like Texas and Florida. “I think it’s criminal. They’re so wanting to roll back the achievements and important progress for women, for blacks, for the LGBTQ community. I can’t say enough horrible things about what I feel about those men,” Sally Field continued

The Muslim call to prayer will soon be heard regularly in parts of Minneapolis. Minneapolis mosques can now publicly broadcast the adhan, or call to prayer, over loudspeakers without acquiring a permit and so long as they abide by the city's amplified noise ordinance. Arabic words like "Allahu akbar," which means "God is great," will be heard ringing out from mosques around the city.
Minneapolis City Council Member Jamal Osman announced this week that mosques will be allowed to play the adhan several times between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily and all year round. The City Council unanimously supported the broadcasts

MSNBC host Al Sharpton said Friday on “Deadline” that the Republicans were going to use “straight-out racially charged whistles” during the midterm elections.
Guest-host Alicia Menendez said, “Let’s just talk about what the Jackson hearings tells us about the upcoming midterm battles, issues, and stereotypes they repeatedly tried to tap into here. Portraying Democrats, portraying Judge Jackson as being soft on crime, bringing up abortion and racist baby books, trying to victimize themselves by invoking previous Supreme Court hearings. Any question what the midterm fight is going to look like after what we watched this week?”
Sharpton said, “It is very clear they are going to use all kinds of dog whistles

US President Joe Biden has visited the European continent in recent days to attend, among other things, a NATO and European Summit. Biden flew to Poland after talking about the war in Ukraine in Brussels to visit US troops stationed in Rzeszów. The president joined the soldiers at the table for a bite to eat, but the pizza he was served was just a little too spicy or Biden took a bigger bite than he can afford. Biden quickly asked for a glass of water to clear his throat.
The soldiers seemed aghast as they watch slow Joe seem to have a problem swallowing pizza. S

President Joe Biden went directly after Vladimir Putin in an emotional speech on Saturday, where he said the Russian president 'cannot remain in power' and warned if Putin's ambitions went unchecked it could lead to decades of war in Europe. 'For god's sake this man cannot remain in power,' he said of Putin, describing the Russian president as having a 'craving for absolute power and control.'The Kremlin reacted furiously at the quote and the White House moved quickly to clear it up, saying Biden was not calling for a regime change in Moscow.

Fresh off her suspension from “The View” for saying “the Holocaust wasn’t racist,” Whoopi Goldberg is making headlines once again.
The 66-year-old actress, known for her roles in the movies “Sister Act” and “Ghost,” is no stranger to making controversial statements. It was just last month that “The View” suspended her from the program for her widely panned comments claiming the Holocaust wasn’t about race.
Now she’s on a tear about the British Royal Family, deploring their role in the country’s imperialist past and calling on them to apologize for what she perceives to be the British Empire’s historical sins.

Literally,” Biden said. “I learned how to sleep.”

President Joe Biden is reportedly planning to propose a new 'minimum tax' targeting billionaires, establishing a 20 percent levy on all American households worth more than $100 million. The White House plans to unveil the 'Billionaire Minimum Income Tax' on Monday as part of Biden's 2023 budget plan, according to the Washington Post. But it would have to pass through Congress to become law, and would likely face stiff opposition from some quarters. The proposal aims to close a purported loophole that benefits the nation's 700-odd billionaires, many of whom have most of their wealth in stock, which is not taxed until it is sold for a profit.

For many conservatives, if you have gotten on the wrong side of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) you must be doing something right. For example, Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) irked McConnell in a big way after releasing his “11-Point Plan to Rescue America: What Americans Must Do to Save this Country.”
Never heard of it? That would not be surprising, since many mainstream media outlets ignored it. But I can assure you that Scott’s ideas are spreading among conservatives like wildfire. Within a week, five of my conservative friends had emailed it to me, and I’m sure that’s happening with others as well.

The Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children raked in $3.9 million in 2020, but spent only a fraction of that on its purported mission to help kids, The Post has learned. The Delaware-based charity, which was started in honor of President Biden’s late son, got an infusion of $1.8 million from the Biden Foundation before that group shut down in 2020, according to the charities’ latest tax filings. The Biden Foundation was started by Joe Biden and his wife, Jill Biden, to champion “progress and prosperity for American families.” The Beau Biden charity also took in $225,000 from entities tied to a top political donor and bundler

On May 18, 2020, then-Attorney General Bill Barr made a statement to the media, declaring that special counsel John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Russiagate hoax wasn’t focused on either former President Barack Obama or former Vice President Joe Biden, stating that “I don’t expect Mr. Durham’s work will lead to a criminal investigation of either man.”(snip)Barr recounts in his book that he felt it was unacceptable for Trump to attempt to drag his presidential election opponent into the Russiagate scandal and that Barr felt that it was incumbent upon him to make a public statement.
The corporate media immediately seized upon Barr’s statement,

Being a Republican voter is no easy thing. Social media censor you. Companies fire you. The Department of Justice persecutes you. Democrats assault and harass you. And all the while, most Republican Party "leaders" stand back and do nothing as they watch. We've got the only political party in modern history controlled by a small group of elected officials who fundamentally disagree with the prevailing viewpoints of 90% of the voters who put them in office. Election after election, their unstated yet indisputable campaign slogan is simply, "Vote for us because we don't hate you quite as much as the other guys."
