The Department of Homeland Security is considering calling on volunteers for reinforcement at the southern border, fearing an onslaught of migrants that would far outweigh its resources. The U.S. could be just hours away from another wave of mass migration if the Biden administration lifts Title 42, a provision border agents have relied on to quell the border crisis during the pandemic.DHS Deputy Secretary John Tien asked employees 'to consider stepping forward to support the DHS Volunteer Force,' according to an email, more than a year after the volunteer force was activated for last year's migrant surge.

America's biggest credit-reporting firms announced they will strip tens of billions of dollars in medical debt from consumers’ credit reports starting this summer - an attempt at relief for the reported 23 million Americans whose credit has been marred by overdue medical costs, hampering their ability to buy homes and take loans.Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion - the world's three largest consumer credit reporting agencies - all announced Friday that they would collectively wipe 70 percent of a reported $195 billion deficit from their collection accounts, an amount that's likely surged since the start of the pandemic. The change specifically targets already paid debts still stuck in collections,

Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) said Thursday on CNN’s “Newsroom” that if former President Donald Trump got the Republican nomination for president in 2024, “many” people would “move heaven and earth to ensure he doesn’t win.”Discussing Trump, Sciutto said, “Final question if I can? You are among the names mentioned who might challenge him for the nomination in 2024, should he decide to run. It looks more and more like he will run, maybe Liz Cheney, perhaps Mike Pence. Do you believe there will be a competitive GOP primary that you will get the opportunity to do so?

World War Two hero Audie Murphy, former Secretary of State Colin Powell and ex-President Dwight Eisenhower are set to have their names used on US military bases whose titles honor Confederate figures. Murphy, a former US Army soldier, became the most-decorated serviceman of World War Two. Powell was the first black person to serve as Secretary of State, between 2001 and 2005, and died last year. Eisenhower was a hero World War Two commander who later served as president between 1953 and 1961.

A same-sex kiss has been restored to the final cut of Pixar’s upcoming animated film Lightyear after LGBTQIA2S+ employees and their allies complained that Disney executives had censored “overtly gay affection” in the company’s films, according to a report by Variety. A source close to the production told Variety that Lightyear features a female lead who is in a relationship with another woman, and a kiss between the two characters had been cut from the film. The gay kiss was added back into the movie last week, following the outrage from a woke mob at Pixar Animation Studios.(Snip)Earlier this month, DeSantis debunked leftist falsehoods on the bill,

RINO Ben Crenshaw labeled Americans who don’t want to send their children to war with Russia in Ukraine, Putin apologists. When he did this on FOX News he was called out.
Ben Crenshaw was on FOX and Friends on Thursday. He told the audience how disturbing it was to him that anyone would oppose not going to war against Russia. When Rachel Campos-Duffy said most Americans question US involvement in such a war he lost it.

"It means the world to be here," Thomas said in an interview after the win. Thomas competed against University of Virginia freshman Emma Weyant, University of Texas freshman Erica Sullivan, and Stanford University senior Brooke Forde. Dr. Anthony Fauci said in a new interview that he is considering stepping away from the position he’d held since 1984.
Fauci, the longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), was asked during a podcast released March 18 whether he was mulling retirement or transitioning to a less-demanding job.
“I certainly am because I’ve got to do it sometime,” Fauci, 81, said.
“I can’t stay at this job forever, unless my staff is going to find me slumped over my desk one day. I’d rather not do that,” he added.
Fauci was appointed to his position in 1984 during the Reagan administration.

Give up your car and start walking. That’s an order. The International Energy Agency (IEA) on Friday directed global governments to urgently cut oil supply to domestic consumers and encourage compliance with its call for lowered consumption.
The IEA 10-point plan to drive “changes in the behaviour of consumers” and reduce gas demand at the pump includes reducing speed limits, working from home three days a week, more electric cars, car-free Sundays, more cycle lanes, cheaper public transport and greater use of long-distance trains over planes.
The IEA also called on the OPEC+ group of oil-producing nations led by Saudi Arabia

Walt Disney World has reportedly denounced a routine by a high school drill team that was accused of “racism” and borrowing from Native American stereotypes during a recent performance there.
Video shot March 15 of the Port Neches-Groves High School Indianettes from Texas shows the all-women squad dressed in purple with white fringe as they march and dance—seemingly borrowing from Native culture—while also chanting, “Scalp ’em, Indians, scalp ’em.”
The footage of the group, who were invited to perform in Orlando, sparked a backlash by Native American officials who called their act “dehumanizing.” “The live performance in our park did not reflect our core values,

“He affects unselfishness, but is in reality fanatically, even maniacally, self-centered.... He is childlike in his pursuit of pleasure, but shrewd and willful in his studied neglect of responsibility. His sensibilities are exquisitely tender, and yet he has a talent for causing pain...He professes universal tolerance and sweetness to all, though is willing to put his friends through shame, fear, and harm rather than see his own comfort threatened.” No, this quote does not refer to Alec Baldwin, apt though it may seem. It is drawn from an essay about Harold Skimpole, a character in Charles Dickens’ Bleak House.

To some users, it feels like another Big Tech bait and switch. To others, it’s a case of getting half a loaf. But to many, it’s a betrayal of a principled promise. The search engine DuckDuckGo will now begin making judgments about the accuracy of the information produced by its search algorithms.
As Breitbart reports in “Diet Google: DuckDuckGo Will ‘Down-Rank’ What It Decides Is ‘Disinformation,’”, the company’s CEO and founder, Gabriel Weinberg, posted a Twitter thread announcing that, as part of standing with Ukraine, the search engine had been
rolling out search updates that down-rank sites associated with Russian disinformation.
