After we published our List #5 a few weeks ago, one of our readers, Greg Ennis, left us this simple comment: “Who the hell is left?” Thanks for your input, Greg, and unfortunately, depending on the industry, that’s an excellent question. With the technology and apparel industries, for instance, finding alternatives to the companies on our list isn’t easy. Nonetheless, it’s important to understand the companies with whom we’re doing business. And just because there’s no viable alternative for an insidiously woke monopoly or oligarchy right now doesn’t mean there won’t be other options in a year.

I laugh when I read that they donated to BLM. The shysters stole the money handed to them and bought themselves several homes!
Talk about throwing money away! Karma's a *itch.

Is the "My Pillow" guy going to be the only one we can buy anything from. It's gotten so just about all the products are woke.

Well, there goes my Anastasia foundation. Time to hunt for a new one. Darn. I’ll at least send them a letter telling them why I’ll no longer buy their product (and it was a good one).

#3 Try MaryKay products. They are all independent business people. The good reps will guide you to the best products for your skin.

I joined the REI Coop in the early 1970s when they were a REAL backpacking and mountaineering supplier. They had specialized climbing equipment (Seattle was a center of mountain climbing then, not sure about now) and lots of excellent quality backpacking gear. We were doing a lot of backpacking and mountain climbing in those days, and that was a great mail order source. Remember when mail order meant you mailed an order from a catalog?
In the last 25 years or so, REI has gone the way of most over-mature backpacking, hunting and outdoors equipment stores....more and more suburban froo-froo "outdoorsy" clothing, and less and less actual outdoors equipment. At this point, perhaps 10-20% of their catalogs shows actual backpacking equipment, all the rest is fragile, stylish, garish colored 'outdoorsy' clothing. We order almost nothing from them any more, after decades of buying a lot, 'back in the 70s through 90s. We've pretty much abandoned them entirely, anyway. I don't need their crap.
The rest....I never use, except perhaps once every year or two buying a small bag of M&Ms.

As I get older, I've been able to separate what I want from what I need. It's easy to avoid a lot of the 'woke' companies when you finally figure out that most of what you want, you really don't need.

My son in law loves REI. He's apolitical - leaning conservative but the covid overkill has really opened his eyes. There's a great local sporting goods store where I live that carries a lot of different lines. I will never buy him anything from REI anymore.

To #s 3 & 4; Yes, they are all independent so you have to chek out their SM pages - or ask them directly - to know if they have donated to blm, antifa, dnc, any dem candidate, etc..

Just consume less in general since it's fairly impossible to avoid all the companies on all the lists.

Read list #5 I actually don't do business or with any of those companies but all of them celebrate LGBTQ+ freaks what's with the obsession with gays. Carhartt with a line of clothing for gays. No more blue-collar working men but all girly men.

Airbnb recently blacklisted Michelle Malkin and her husband because she recently spoke to a conservative group that airbnb believes to be white supremacists.
I really like the suggestion for alternatives to Lyft and Uber, chat with the driver to set up a private arrangement, cutting out the middlemen - for frequent riders especially.

Another list and I’m happy to say that, of all of the companies listed in total on all six, the only one I use is Apple. I would rather not give them my business but I have tried other smart phones and Blackberries, etc and none of them measure up.
