Eric Trump has shared a video showing his wife's clutch purse emblazoned with 'FJB,' an abbreviation for a crude insult against President Joe Biden. The son of the former president posted the video to Instagram on Friday, showing a humorous sticker blaming Biden for higher prices at the gas pump at a Marathon station.
The sticker shows an image of Biden pointing to the sales total on the pump, with the caption 'I did that!' in a reference to criticism the president has faced over soaring gas prices and inflation.(Snip)The video, which features the song Lets Go Brandon by Loza Alexander, pans from the gas pump to the vehicle,

Election supervisors in Texas have warned that new stricter voter ID requirements ahead of next month’s state governor’s primary have already resulted in an uncharacteristically high number of ballot rejections. Voting rights activists have expressed fears that new laws making access to the vote more difficult–that have been passed in many states across the US by Republicans–will impact Democrat-leaning voters of color. According to officials in media reports, as many as 40% of roughly 3,600 returned ballots in Harris county, Texas’ most populous county that incorporates Houston, have lacked the identification number required under Senate Bill 1, a Republican-sponsored bill designed to tie voters to valid IDs.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates—U.S. F-22 fighter jets arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Saturday, part of an American defense response to recent missile attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels targeting the country. The Raptors landed at Al-Dhafra Air Base in Abu Dhabi, which hosts some 2,000 U.S. troops. American soldiers there launched Patriot interceptor missiles in response to the Houthi attacks last month, the first time U.S. troops have fired the system in combat since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.
American officials declined to say how many F-22s deployed or the number of airmen supporting the aircraft, citing operational security.

The Department of Homeland Security has sent 500 extra employees to southern California ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl to help local cops prevent possible game-day disruptions by truckers similar to ones in Canada protesting COVID-19 vaccine mandates. White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters Friday that DHS was working with the California Highway Patrol, the Los Angeles Police Department, and state and local authorities to help counter any protests. She said the 500 DHS workers were already “providing extensive air and maritime security resources.” “The Department of Homeland Security is surging additional staff to its incident command post,” she said.

Atlanta—A federal cybersecurity agency is reviewing a report that alleges security vulnerabilities in voting machines used by Georgia and other states and says the document shouldn’t be made public until the agency has had time to assess and mitigate potential risks. The report has been under seal since July in federal court in Atlanta, part of a long-running lawsuit challenging Georgia’s voting machines. Its author, J. Alex Halderman, said in sworn declarations filed publicly with the court that he examined the Dominion Voting Systems machines for 12 weeks and identified “multiple severe security flaws” that would allow bad actors to install malicious software.

Houston’s main transportation authority has been slammed on social media for its “performative” tribute to Rosa Parks. Texas’ Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County—better known as METRO—revealed last week that they were placing a yellow seat at the front of each of their public buses to mark what would have been Parks’ 109th birthday. The statement was accompanied by a photograph of one of the seats, inscribed with the words “Dedicate to the Memory of Rosa Parks.” METRO stated that the seats would be a permanent addition on their buses as a way to honor Parks’ “act of courage.” Parks become a leading figure in the Civil Rights

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that 'everything is on the table' to end the Freedom Convoy demonstrations blockading key border crossings to the US, after speaking directly with President Joe Biden. 'President Biden and I both agreed that for the security of people and the economy, these blockades cannot continue,' Trudeau said at a press briefing. 'Make no mistake, the border cannot and will not remain closed.' 'Everything is on the table because this unlawful activity has to end, and it will end,' Trudeau said, declining to offer specifics on a police action at the Ambassador Bridge, which is now widely expected after the provincial premier of Ontario
