CNN’s ratings took a nosedive by a massive 90 percent both overall and in the all-important demographic coveted by advertisers in the first week of the new year. The Jeff Zucker-led cable news network averaged just 548,000 viewers during the week of Jan. 3—a major drop from the nearly 2.7 million viewers for the same week in 2021, according to Nielsen ratings. The year-ago ratings were jolted by the left-leaning network’s coverage of the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol, which resulted in CNN having its most-watched day since Ted Turner launched the news outlet in 1980.

The Collapsing New Network will not be around for much longer at that rate. Chrissie Wallace, being the newbie there, what do you think?

Don't you know that the powers-that-be at CNN are secretly praying for the Republicans to win in November, and President Trump to be re-elected in 2024.
It's their only hope of surviving!!!

Just say it out loud for your own amusement, ''Ninety per cent!'' Say it again and amuse those around you with your best Kamala Cackle. That'll be better for you than bubble gum.

The democrats infrastructure bills have money built in to prop up their failing media. $50,000 tax credits for local reporters. So when they lose sponsors or people boycott, Democrats swoop in with cash to keep them on life support. Same reason they are planning another stimulus package to pay their loyal workers fired due to vaccine mandates. Vicious never ending circle jerk!

CNN is not only scandal ridden but perverted at that. Just the way demonrats like it.

To repeat the conventional wisdom, MSNBC has become the Dems' de facto network. CNN now occupies a strange, lonely place where CNN spars with people strictly about CNN. But the people interested in doing so are few and that number is declining rapidly.
Jeff Zucker's alleged retirement is taking long than Jen Psaki's alleged retirement. Both are cancers on public discourse and integrity.
In a gallows humor sort of way, CNN couldn't have assembled a worse lot. No judgment implied but if gays are a certain percentage of the population they seem to be 50% or more of the CNN on-air staff and they are positively b(w)itchy, especially about Fox News, a subject they have an Ahab-like obsession about.
CNN has become indistinguishable from satire, with blood-red 'breaking news' graphics about anything and everything - and none of it actually news and none of it actually breaking. Plants like the Capitol Police stooges are given shedloads of airtime to whine, cry and lie.

Gee, Zucker might not get his bonus this year. The only good thing he did appears to be the hiring all the non-thinking drones who were/are incapable of seeing this coming, and just kept droning on, making them look like idiots.

CNN could not survive without cable and satellite subscribers. Everyone needs to cut the cord and defund the MSM. It's a small sacrifice to make. We need to fight back and resist.

I guess constantly telling people they are racists and need to give away all their money to someone who thinks they are better than you finally wears thin.
Also, gaslighting people into thinking everything is just wonderful under China Joe's regime is a hard sell when you're audience is still unemployed.

Yet I still know supposedly intelligent, educated people who are on an exclusive CNN diet. They claim that vaccinated people can not spread the virus even though we see daily examples. A woman I know who has been sick for most of last year after multiple jabs is still badgering me to get the shots.

Good riddance to CNN, but before we get too giddy, the queen of misinformation MSNBC is still out there. So is the AP, USA Today, and many other newspapers from WaPo and the NY Slimes down to most local papers, including in my home town (which uses mostly AP and USA Today stories.)

The only thing keeping CNN afloat for the last 5 years was President Trump. They wanted him gone, did everything in their power to make it happen and then karma came back and bit them in their collective arses.

Not that I want to help out CNN but maybe they should dump all the lying liberals on the network and replace them with honest people who tell the truth, no matter how bad it looks for democrat talking points.

Totally unwatchable. Their programming, along with MSNBC, and the networks, is about as entertaining as a long lecture from your father when you get a poor report card. By CNN’s lights, it’s the viewers who are deplorable, uneducated, unwoke, and generally beneath contempt. Can’t wait to tune in for a big dose of that. Apparently, I’m not alone. I’m betting that Zucker does actually know how to put on a good show but someone is paying him very well not to do that. Who? and Why? are fair questions which I cannot directly answer. However, I readily acknowledge that the organized Left plays the long game much more deftly than its right-wing counterparts. So there must be a method to this madness and the fact that I can’t figure it out doesn’t mean that no such long-term strategy exists.

And yet to horror of my entire family, my Mother still keeps in on all day running as background. She also loves Don Lemon no matter what we have told her, and she hates Trump with a burning passion. I come from a staunchly conservative family and my mom has mostly conservative friends. It is very odd.
She is a rebellious woman by her nature, and at 80 I am thinking this is her way of still showing everyone that.
