Boats bashed into a quiet harbor in Southern California, a remote island was battered in Japan by four-foot waves and two women were swept to their deaths on a beach in Peru — some 6,000 miles from an undersea volcanic eruption so powerful that the tsunami it set off churned ocean waters halfway across the globe.
But on Sunday, as reports of the volcano’s impact trickled in from far-flung countries, there was little word from Tonga, the island nation just 40 miles from the site of the extraordinary explosion. As concerns grew, the nation of about 100,000 remained largely cut off from the rest of world,

For a political hack supposedly steeped in the ways of politics dating from the days of the Partridge Family, Joe Biden sure hasn't learned much.
Three days after insulting his congressional allies who opposed his bid to federalize elections as being on the side of "Bull Connor," "George Wallace," and "Jefferson Davis," he's now getting a wet mop in the face from his targets -- Sens. Kyrsten Sinema, Joe Manchin, and three other Democrats from swing states.
According to the New York Post:
A group of Democratic senators say they have “grave concerns” about the Biden administration’s response to COVID-19 and have asked the White House’s pandemic point man

In a major news story, four hostages were freed after a standoff at a synagogue in Texas.
The incident occurred a little before 10:40 a.m. local time, yesterday, when the police received a call about a gunman storming into the Congregation Beth Israel synagogue in Colleyville, near Fort Worth, during morning Shabbat prayers.
The service that was live-streamed via Facebook was eventually taken down.
The terrorist was heard on the livestream demanding the release of Islamist terrorist Aafia Siddiqui who was sentenced to 86 years in prison in 2010 for assault and attempted murder of a U.S. soldier.

A New Zealand Civil Defence warning to stay off beaches was lifted just after 7pm on Sunday night due to reduced marine activity, but people were warned strong and unusual currents and surges could continue for another 24 hours.
The advice for New Zealand beach and marine areas came after tsunami waves swamped low-lying areas of Tonga on Saturday following an underwater volcanic eruption.
A group of people fishing in Northland’s Hokianga Harbour had to run for their lives early on Sunday morning as waves from the Tongan tsunami unexpectedly surged around them. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii, US, confirmed the eruption generated a tsunami late on Saturday night

The first images have started to emerge from Tonga a day after volcano eruptions triggered a tsunami, damaging communication lines in the process.
Boats and boulders were swept inland and volcanic ash has left water undrinkable.
The full extent of the damage is as-yet unclear as power outages and damage to the main undersea communications cable cut communications links to and from the country. Photos and videos of the damage in Tonga have started to filter through on social media, while the New Zealand government is yet to make official contact with the Tonga government.

Another Joe Biden calamity we've never seen before is now upon America.
Piracy. We've got pirate problems now.
Comparable to our border, our unguarded interstate rail trade is facing unprecedented robberies as its cargo moves to its destinations. It's literally being raided, pirate-style, by likely the same gangs that have raided retail stores with zero fear of prosection. Why raid a mere store when you can get the whole freight train of goods and get away with it? America's freight trains carrying goods are now under attack.
The stunning report from a CBS photo journalist who went out to check a tip shows the picture of how bad it is:

For a so-called loser who's out of power and supposedly irrelevant, President Trump sure does seem to be triggering changes among the jellyfish who otherwise make up the Republican Party leadership.
It's not just that candidates who emulate President Trump's agenda are doing well in elections, as did Glenn Youngkin in Virginia's governor's race, or those who yell about Trump are washing out. (Memo to Liz).
It's not just that all of a sudden, congressional representatives and senators are deciding to stay in the House and Senate, as did Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, who had been talking up retirement for years.
We're now seeing a Trump-like fighting spirit

An awful lot of people are making a very dangerous assumption about the COVID-19 jabs: that the manufacture of them is pristine. Everyone seems to tacitly accept that every vial of a given jab is perfect and identical to every other vial of the same thing and that it is delivered to the injection site in perfect condition. I don't think so.
Bad batches?
There are press reports of localized clusters of bad jab reactions, such as a huge spike in stillbirths in Scotland. See here and here. Scotland is not the only place. The U.S. has the same issues in some areas.
Japan had some real issues

If you like dishonesty, and dollop after dollop of general disgustingness, Joe Biden had the speech for you.
Here he was for his big Jan. 6 moment in front of Congress, denouncing his predecessor, President Trump, defending voter fraud, demanding more of it, and calling it 'democracy.' His speech was ultimately an argument for his own right to power, by fair means or foul. Andrea Widburg has an excellent piece describing the Academy Awards quality of the whole wretched specter here. (Snip for video) (You'll need to listen to this afterward as sort of a mental shower, something to get the stink off. Greg Gutfeld is in fine form:)

Congressional Democrats and their allies have been blowing a lot of hot air about the Jan. 6 "insurrection," a pathetic crowd-control failure brought on by Capitol police incompetence, crossed wires among those charged with security, and quite likely some FBI pot-stirring, through agents provocateurs. It's bee ess. The whole show is about discrediting President Trump to keep him from running for office in 2024, because, well, they know he won the 2020 election and a lot of voters would like to get their votes' worth in 2024. But that's precisely why they keep blowing the incident up into an "insurrection."

Did the Twitter punks who banned mRNA vaccine inventor and bona fide vaccine expert Robert W. Malone, M.D. just set off the Mother of all Backfires?
Kind of looks like it, now that they've drawn so much public interest to the man that they've apparently broken the Google algorithm for censoring stories about him.
It started like this:
Shortly after Malone was banned on Twitter, he did an long interview with bigfoot podcaster, Joe Rogan, arguing that the disinformation and repressed information on COVID vaccines was something resembling mass psychosis.
That term, and related ones, created widely divergent results between Google and its biggest rival, the more objective DuckDuckGo search engine.

Sen. Liz Warren, an early adopter on the fake Indian front, suddenly has a lot of company.
Get a load of this from Legal Insurrection:
The Native American population in the U.S. grew by a staggering 86.5% between 2010 and 2020, according to the latest U.S. Census – a rate demographers say is impossible to achieve without immigration.
Birth rates among Native Americans don’t explain the massive rise in numbers. And there certainly is no evidence of an influx of Native American expatriates returning to the U.S.
