Former President Donald Trump is dominating the Republican Primary in a hypothetical matchup, a Reuters/Ipsos survey found.
They survey asked all respondents, “Thinking about the presidential election in 2024, who would you support as the Republican nominee for president?”Overall, a majority, 54 percent, of Republicans said they would support Trump. Only one other potential candidate garnered double digit support — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who saw 11 percent support. However, that still leaves him 43 points behind the former president.
Former Vice President Mike Pence came in third place with eight percent support, followed by

Proving that 8% of self identified Republicans are any of: uninformed, RINO, stupid, watch CNN, live in a cave, or lied to the poll takers.

I know a lot of people would like Gov DeSantis to run, but his wife and family need him now. It’s his staunch dedication to family and Always doing the right thing that have put him in this prestigious position. We should not be selfish and expect him to compromise his own principles during this crucial time for his wife’s health.

I think people are so tired of the daily Drama with Biden and his Administration. Nobody really knows who is running the Country, but we're pretty sure it's not Biden. Every week it's another Huge Mistake made by that Crowd! It was Afghanistan and the horror we watched on TV, followed by the complete non-interest in the folks left behind. We were also stunned at the poor choices made by the Leaders in our Military! Of course we already watched Biden shut down ALL of our Oil and Gas, so that now we have to beg for someone to sell those things to us! We all watch, on a daily basis, the thousands who are crossing our Southern Border. NOBODY CARES in Washington! As a result, those Illegals are being Bused all over our country, placed in Hotels, and treated like they're on vacation with food, clothing, health care and education. We're also watching Pelosi, Schumer and AOC (who is the real Boss of the Democrats) passing Law after Law to take control of our country and the Peons who live in it! I could go on and on, but everyone who comes to Ldot knows what I'm talking about!
THAT is why we're backing the man who had everything running like clock work. Some may have hated the Tweets, but NOW, they look like something extremely minor compared to what we're living with under the Biden administration (and Trump has been thrown off Twitter for Life, so there's that)!

How frightening. What American capable of clear, unbiased thinking would ever want to return to the Trump years of energy independence, a strong military committed to defense instead of wokeness, a strong economy instead of runnaway inflation, a trip to the grocery store when you could afford food for a week instead of for two days, no fast pullout of troops from Afghanistan stranding Americans and American supporters to the Taliban, controlling illegal immigration to limit the infusion of millions of new democrat voters, actually providing protection for billions of dollars of military hardware so it did not fall into the hands of our sworn enemies and last but not least--gasoline that was less than $2 per gallon.
Yep it sure would be tough to return to those rough times instead of the smooth and satisfying conditions of today which includes having the current resident of the White House eliminating the Covid virus that he promised he would do.

I’ll be the contrarian here so far - if there is one thing that will keep the more-conservative party from holding the executive branch after November 2024, it would be nomination of former President Trump.

Not a sure thing. The RINOs, swamp creatures like McConnell, never Trumpers, lying media, and traitorous Democrats will all combine to attempt to thwart the choice of we the people. They want ANYBODY except President Trump.

Desantis time will come, but 2024 might not be it. Who else in the Republican party has the stones to run against Trump? There will be other candidates, but they won't have the appeal of Trump. Trump has already proven what he can do as president, and he did so with every facet of the media and federal government working against him from day one. Unless someone comes from nowhere to out Trump Trump, the Republican nomination goes to Trump.

Too much baggage . Too many horrible appointments and wasted opportunities. People don't like his personality. Mrs. DeSantis will survive.

Watch to see who the Republican establishment will try to foist on us. Like last time, their choice will be obvious. First, they will give their choice all the air time. Again, in a debate they will throw Trump questions designed to derail him as a serious candidate. When their choice is rejected, like last time, they will switch to their next choice. They will want anyone but Trump. I'm voting for Trump and I have no 2nd choice. For me, it's Trump or nothing.
