The “woke” movement was giddy after January 20, 2021. The Left controlled both houses of Congress.Joe Biden was drafted as the necessary veneer of 1980s Democratic normality to ram through an otherwise hard Left agenda. All the major cultural, financial, economic, entertainment and media institutions had played various roles in seeing former president Donald Trump not just defeated, but also impeached, twice. He was written off as persona non grata after the January 6 riot at the Capitol. So, academia, corporate boardrooms, Hollywood, the media, the Pentagon, professional sports teams, Silicon Valley and Wall Street

But at best we be paying for leftist failures for generations yet unborn. We may well be required to speak Mandarin along the way. We aren't even close to angry enough yet.

The "woke" won at the local and state levels. Americans are nice people compouned by a streak of plain stupidity favoring "the little guy". I grew up working class and heard all these same canards years ago...money is the root of all evil, and only brings unhappiness into your life. You'll never succeed was another common theme. They won't let you. (Did you know the rich can't eat hamburger because it upsets their stomachs. They need the best steak.) This nonsense has been around for centuries. I worked in crummy factories for $2/hr to pay for my education. Eventually I worked up to digging ditches for laying electrical cable and crawling through sewers. Most of those I worked with were happy with cheap beer and a good time Saturday night. Proud working class. Reliable Democrats and unionists. Our problem is that those running government have figured out out how tp "spread it around" regardless of party affiliation. The GOPe will toss bones to the defense establishment to the pleased cheers of "conservatives" no less than those Commie Dems pass cash out to the "underprivledged" suffering under "systemic" racial and social injustice, making it nobody's fault, really. Put it on the credit account...we've added unknown TRILLIONS in the past year. We can float the interest payments with inflation...worked before.

On Friday, CBS Mornings eagerly previewed a fawning interview the network treated President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden to for the upcoming CBS Sunday Morning. Reliable liberal hack correspondent Rita Braver conducted the friendly chat and was shown commiserating with the First Lady over how the President must be “frustrated” by Republican opposition to his radical agenda.“I think a lot of people would find it hard to believe that you don’t get frustrated when you feel that Republicans are really trying to block the President’s agenda,” Braver sympathized.

Vice President Kamala Harris told reporters that Friday's Supreme Court ruling leaving in place a Texas abortion law was 'an attempt to undo 50 years of precedent.' The court ruled Friday that a lawsuit by abortion providers in Texas can move forward but left the ban on abortions after about six weeks in place as challenges are being litigated. The high court punted the law's legality. Its action today sends the case by abortion providers back to a district court, which could lead to it being suspended.

Inflation rose an astounding 6.8% from last November to now, the largest annual increase since 1982 when Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker had to raise interest rates well into the double digits to combat the stagflation of the Carter era. CNBC's Carl Quintanilla decided to use the dismal news to argue that, actually, our inflation rate is not "unique, special or anyone's fault." (Tweet) This is a wildly telling chart — but not in the way Quintanilla thinks. (Video) Despite the Fed keeping U.S. interest rates near zero during the longest bull market in history, central bankers across the pond have proven even more dovish.

The US inflation rate has hit its highest level in nearly 40 years, adding woes for consumers and compounding the issue as a political liability for President Joe Biden. The consumer price index rose 0.8 percent last month after surging 0.9 percent in October, the Labor Department said on Friday. It pushed annual inflation to 6.8 percent in November, the highest increase since June 1982 and well above October's 6.2 percent annual rate. A labor shortage is boosting wages, sending costs higher for businesses, and chaos in the supply chain is showing little sign of easing, indicating that high inflation could persist well into 2022.

That doesn’t leave the Democrats with a lot of options at this point. DAVIS, Calif. — Banana peels, chicken bones and leftover veggies won't have a place in California trashcans under the nation's largest mandatory residential food waste recycling program that's set to take effect in January. The effort is designed to keep landfills in the most populous U.S. state clear of food waste that damages the atmosphere as it decays. When food scraps and other organic materials break down they emit methane, a greenhouse gas more potent and damaging in the short-term than carbon emissions from fossil fuels. To avoid those emissions, California plans to start converting residents' food waste into compost or

President Biden has signed a series of executive orders to make the federal government carbon neutral. The Democrat president on Wednesday ordered federal agencies to purchase electric vehicles, harness wind, solar, and nuclear energy to power facilities, and to use sustainable building materials. The goal is for the federal government to stop adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere by 2050. In the next decade, Biden wants the government to cease purchasing electricity produced from sources that emit carbon dioxide. By 2035, the administration wants all new federal cars and truck purchases to be zero-emissions. Right now, only about 1.5% of the government fleet is electric vehicles.

Newly resurfaced video appears to show a US attorney appointed by President Joe Biden angrily confronting journalists in an expletive-ridden tirade in January 2021. Biden tapped Suffolk Country District Attorney Rachael Rollins to lead the US Attorney's Office in Massachusetts in July. On Wednesday she made history as the first black woman to be confirmed in the role by the Senate, when Vice President Kamala Harris broke a 50-50 tie along party lines. But in footage recorded by Boston 25 News earlier in the year, Rollins angrily threatens a news team with legal action and accuses them of endangering her children for asking for an interview near her home.

New rules will require these big trucks, including ones from other states passing through Califonria — to be tested at least four times per year to make sure they
