With the media dialing up the fear over the latest scary COVID variant, it hasn’t escaped the attention of many astute observers that something very strange is going on with the World Health Organization’s choice of a name for the strain that could lead to renewed lockdowns and bolster the Biden administration’s vaccine push.
No sooner had the Thanksgiving leftovers been put away and big box stores opened their doors for Black Friday sales than the hysteria over the Omicron variant erupted across a media that, in addition to running cover for far-left extremists, specializes in promoting panic and the new variant was an early Christmas gift

Did you hear? There’s a new coronavirus variant loose upon the land. It’s bigger, taller, faster, more lethal, and more deadly than any other variant in history. They call it the “Nu” variant because nu is the 13th letter of the Greek alphabet and this is the 13th variant discovered.
How could we get so unlucky?
Actually, that’s pretty silly. Scientists have never pitted this Nu variant against the Delta variant in a race so we don’t know if it’s really the fastest. But my money is on Nu, otherwise, there goes the narrative and we’re back to trying to drum up hysteria

This storyline reads like the script of a cheap made-for-TV movie. Don’t I say I didn’t warn you.
With the 2022 midterm elections less than a year away and the consensus that the Democrat Party will get its a** handed to it in both the House and Senate after two years of Biden, attention is increasingly turning to the big enchilada — the 2024 presidential election.
Unfortunately for the Democrats, the choices they face for their nominee are laughable.
In that laughability, the top two options as we speak appear to be a man who will be 82 years old in November 2024 — whose mental acuity continues to drop faster

I typically try to shy away from writing on what crazy lefties on MSNBC are saying because I find it uninteresting, but it’s the Friday after Thanksgiving and the current news cycle resembles a desert with tumbleweeds gently rolling by.
Plus, the last time I wrote something on MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle, Fox News’ Harris Faulkner put it on air so buckle up because we’re doing this (see The Most Tone-Deaf Response to the Inflation Crisis Imaginable Goes Forth). Even still, sometimes these hosts say something that points to a bigger, more pervasive issue that’s worth discussing. That happened this week when Ruhle decided to opine on the inflation crisis

Florida, which came under a constant wave of scrutiny from blue state leaders and the establishment media throughout the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, is reporting the lowest coronavirus cases per capita in the nation as other states are experiencing significant surges.
As of Friday, Florida reported a daily average of 1,393 cases, or six per 100,000, representing a two percent decrease of cases in the last two weeks alone. While Florida stood throughout the pandemic as the target of the establishment media and blue state leaders, such as disgraced former Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), it has for weeks maintained its status as having one of the lowest —

Despite rave reviews, Disney’s Encanto, an animated musical with songs from Lin-Manuel Miranda, took a nosedive at the holiday box office.
Lol.
As of Thursday, this tale of a magic castle in Colombia (or something) is expected to gross just $26 million over three days and an anemic $38.6 million over the full five-day holiday.
First off, no one can blame streaming. This is a theatrical-only release.
Secondly, no one can blame the pandemic. Plenty of movies are opening just fine.
How bad is this?
Oh, it’s bad.
By comparison, one of Disney’s biggest bombs, The Good Dinosaur, grossed $55.4 million over the five-day Thanksgiving weekend.

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Your World,” Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta President Raphael Bostic stated that business leaders he talks to think the supply chain issues will be resolved in “the middle of 2022, maybe into the third or the fourth quarter.”
Bostic said, [relevant remarks begin around 5:15] “I talk to business leaders all the time, and I ask them exactly this question, when do you expect supply chain issues to be resolved? When I asked them in the summertime, they said, we should be done by the end of the year.

New surveys from Democrat Party strategists reportedly show that the party’s brand is in shambles nationwide as the Biden administration deals with skyrocketing inflation, rising fuel costs, a continued disaster on the U.S. Southern Border, fallout from the disaster in Afghanistan, and numerous other problems.
“What they discovered, largely through focus groups and polling, was even worse than expected,” Politico reported. “The problems cut far deeper than the failings of their gubernatorial nominee, Terry McAuliffe, or President Joe Biden’s flagging approval ratings. Rather, the Democratic Party’s entire brand was a wreck.”

An emergency room in Long Beach, New York, closed down on Monday after state law forced all of its unvaccinated medical workers from their jobs.
The Mount Sinai South Nassau hospital closed its freestanding emergency room in Long Beach and redirected staff to its main campus in Oceanside, New York, the hospital said in a statement. The “temporary” closure could last up to four weeks and potentially longer depending on the availability of staff, the hospital said.
The New York State Department of Health’s (NYSDOH) vaccine mandate for medical workers does not allow workers to claim a religious exemption for the vaccine.

President Joe Biden tweeted Wednesday that supermarket shelves are well stocked across the country while grocers ration food.
“For all those concerns a few weeks ago that there would not be ample food available for Thanksgiving, families can rest easy today,” Biden claimed.
“Grocery stores are well-stocked with turkey and everything else you need,” the president added.
Meanwhile, Publix Supermarkets, a Florida-based grocer, warned customers this week to expect food shortages in all 1,280 stores across the southeast.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, the list of rationed foods include the following:
Canned cranberry sauce
Jarred gravy
Canned pie filling
Canola and vegetable oil
Cream cheese
Bacon
Rolled breakfast sausage
Paper napkins
Disposable plates, cups and cutlery
Bath tissue
Refrigerated snacks (Lunchables-type items)
Sports drinks
Aseptic-type juices

Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, urged President Joe Biden to restore the Keystone XL pipeline after the administration released 50 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR).
“I continue to call on President Biden to responsibly increase energy production here at home and to reverse course to allow the Keystone XL pipeline to be built,” Manchin wrote in a statement. He added that the pipeline would have “provided our country with up to 900,000 barrels of oil per day from Canada, one of our closest allies.”
“This is about American energy independence and the fact that hard working Americans

The Federal Reserve’s go-to barometer of inflation soared in October to the fastest annual pace of price increases in 31-years, data from the Commerce Department showed Wednesday.
The personal consumption expenditure price index rose five percent compared with October 2020, an acceleration from the 4.4 percent annual gain recorded in September. Compared with the prior month, prices rose 0.6 percent, the biggest monthly jump since 2008.
Core PCE inflation, which excludes volatile food and fuel categories, rose 4.1 percent annually, also the fastest pace since November 1990. For the month, it rose 0.4 percent. That is lower than the levels hit in April, May, and June of this year,
