In our continued effort to point out the ugly media bias that misleads and divides us, we have created a prize that will be occasionally handed out to outlets and journalists that promote the Democrats’ agenda, violate decent sensibilities, tell outright lies, or demonstrate an obvious hatred of America. Our first Foolitzer goes to MSNBC for a rant of the sort that has become all too common this time of the year.
During Saturday’s “The Cross Connection,” host Tiffany Cross turned the screen and the microphone over to a “Cross Connection favorite,” who launched into a tirade about settlers who brought nothing but took everything.

It seems roughly half of the country is suffering from mass delusions. Either that or there is a willful effort to ignore the truth and spread lies for political reasons. Neither scenario bodes well for the country.
Our American sensibilities are assaulted on a daily basis with claims that are widely accepted to be true and righteous even though they’re demonstrably false and malign. The falsehoods, exaggerations, and prevarications by omission are tearing at the fabric of the great American experiment in liberty. Which is exactly what they are designed to do.
Consider the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, acquitted (justly)

It’s often said that Americans agree on almost nothing these days, a sign of the times. But that’s not entirely true. There’s one topic on which there’s near-unanimous agreement: Inflation. Americans of all political persuasions expect prices to shoot up over the next year.
The data are unequivocal: In our November I&I/TIPP Poll, 84% said “over the next year prices for gasoline, food, and other household products” would be “much higher” or “somewhat higher” than today. Only 8% thought they’d be lower, while 5% weren’t sure.
The big surprise comes from those who expect “much higher” prices (48%), compared to

Thursday's Senate confirmation hearing on Saule Omarova, President Joe Biden’s choice to be comptroller of the currency, confirmed that she is the wrong person for the job. Flags the color of those that once were raised over Moscow were flying throughout the three-hour session.
Omarova is a professor of regulation of financial institutions, banking law, international finance, and corporate finance at Cornell. As comptroller of the currency, she would ensure that the “federal banking system operates in a safe and sound manner.”
The White House says she “is eminently qualified and was nominated for this role because of her lifetime

A new memo shows that Attorney General Merrick Garland lied to Congress about the FBI snooping on parent groups upset with local school boards for their use of Critical Race Theory in the classroom. If so, it doesn’t warrant a slap on the hand, but swift removal from office.
Presidents deserve to have the people they nominate serve their entire term. But that’s not the case when that person lies under oath to Congress and, by extension, the American people. That’s a criminal offense.
This allegation comes from an official letter sent to the Justice Department by Rep. Jim Jordan,

His crumbling public approval rating must be troubling to President Joe Biden. But can it possibly compare to learning that the liberal mainstream media is turning on him as well?
On Tuesday, the New York Times sent an email to its morning update subscribers with the headline: “Who’s to blame for inflation?”
“It is dragging down President Biden’s approval ratings and fueling discontent among Americans,” writes senior economics correspondent Neil Irwin. “How did we get here? Who is to blame?”
We fully expected the Times to make excuses for Biden. And at first, it looks as though that is what

One of the primary constitutional duties of an American president is to be commander in chief of U.S. military forces. Yet, after just 10 months of President Joe Biden, Americans lack confidence that our 79-year-old commander in chief is up to the challenge of leading the U.S. in the event of a military threat.
The response is sure to worry Democrats, given the beleaguered Biden administration’s recent sharp decline in favorability. Overall, among those responding, a plurality of 48% said they were “not confident” that Biden would be effective as commander in chief during a military emergency, while 45% said they were confident.

A poll taken earlier this month shows that voters believe job No. 1 for President Joe Biden is to vacate his office. His replacement, of course, would be the vice president whose approval rating is so low it hardly registers. Take a bow, voters. This is the mess that America has become.
When 1,000 voters were asked what is “the single most important goal for Biden over the next year,” the top answer at 20% was “resign/retire/quit.” That answer was almost twice as popular as the No. 2 response, “economy/jobs,” which logged in at 11%. These are the unsurprising-to-many findings of a Suffolk University-USA Today poll

We’re not big fans of economist Larry Summers, but in this case, he should be in line for a Nobel Prize for predicting exactly what is happening with inflation today … and who is to blame for it.
On Wednesday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that inflation climbed at an annual rate of 6.2%, the biggest such jump in three decades.
And that’s despite repeated predictions from other “experts” that the spike in prices earlier this year was “transitory.” Even now, they are flummoxed. As the Washington Post put it Wednesday, inflation is “lasting longer than policymakers at the

"220,000 Americans dead. You hear nothing else I say tonight, hear this. Anyone who … is responsible for that many deaths should not remain as president of the United States of America.”
That was Joe Biden at his last debate on Oct. 22, 2020, with then-President Donald Trump.
At that debate, Biden went on to proclaim that the only reason all those people died was that Trump had failed to do things such as test people and issue mask mandates. [snip]
Then he declared:
“And so, folks, I will take care of this. I will end this.”

Each day the media are filled with “news” stories blaming various events and conditions on “climate change,” which are of course code words for “humans are overheating their planet.” Never do these reports offer evidence that mankind’s carbon dioxide emissions are to blame. That the press feels there’s no reason to back its claims with facts indicates that a large segment of the West has bought fully and uncritically into the narrative.
Some days it seems as if it’s useless to continue to fight the fight against global warming. Politicians, “journalists,” activists, activist scientists, celebrities, and a substantial portion of the public tell us that human activity
